Does Bestmark only pay by paper check?

Am I missing the option to elect direct deposit for Bestmark payments?

I still receive paper checks, too. I think A-Closer-Look, Bestmark, and Strategic Reflections all pay by paper. If course, they may all have a DD option that I just didn't know about. I use my banks mobile deposit to avoid the 30 minute drive to a bank.

@mahemj Yes. Click Profile and on the right-hand side under Phones is "Direct Deposit Info." Strategic Reflections, Sinclair, A-Closer-Look all pay by check. Seems like most others are direct deposit or Paypal.

That's strange. I just checked my Bestmark account, and there is no place to input direct deposit information. (I double checked the area under "phones." )

I just checked the FAQ on Bestmark website. This is what it says about DD: "At BestMark, we pay by checks that are processed every other Friday and mailed the following week. Direct Deposit or PayPal are not options at this time."

Strange, I see that text as well. All I know is I see that option under my profile, and I got paid via Direct Deposit this past Tuesday. The entry in my bank account was titled "BESTMARK, INC DIRECT DEP"

I receive $ via DD. I have completed several shops on time no errors, and I was given the option of DD as a result, according to their email anyway.

I'm going to ask them about this. For the first time last week, my check was late; two days to be exact.

This week my check was in the mailbox on time as usual but I'd much rather dd or paypal. I think checks are a waste to the environment plus I hate getting checks for such a low amount of money.

Bm once sent me a check for $3

I've stopped shopping companies that pay by check so I hope A Closer Look changes their system!

Companies that pay only by check are a pain. I have a $6 check coming from BM. LOL

Bestmark does pay by direct deposit. They have to enable that option on your profile or you won't see the area to input your banking information. I know many shoppers that get their pay by direct deposit. When I first asked about not having the direct deposit area on my profile, I was told I had to receive my first payment by check. Then I could change to direct deposit. My profile was not changed to allow that after my first check. My second payment came by check as well. I checked my profile. It still did not allow me to put in my banking information for direct deposit. I contacted Bestmark again. For my troubles all I received was a snippy response telling me I couldn't get paid by direct deposit until after I had worked for Bestmark for a year! That's right... ONE YEAR. Ridiculous. And also false. The other shoppers have all been working for Bestmark for less than 2 months. I know because I referred them. And, they received direct deposit promptly after their first check. Now that they have said that they don't intend to honor the direct deposit until next year, I will be shopping exclusively for the companies that do. Low pay was bad enough, but this? No!

I personal see no trouble with them paying by check , maybe because I can get to a branch of my bank with in five minutes.

I don't quite understand why the different policies on direct deposit. I would think its much cheaper to pay electronically vs cutting checks all the time.

Mercantile and NSS also pay by check...doesn't bother me, love when those checks roll in. Bestmark pays by check, hven't checked for an option, don't work for them enough.
