Paypal has not come through yet. The end of the month being on a Sunday might be creating a little delay because I think the mass payments usually fund on banking days. I'd expect it to arrive by end of day tomorrow. I recall getting paid on the 1st or 2nd in the past.
There's a process with mass payments & Paypal which is not automatic. The MSC has to fund a particular account for the amount of the mass payment, then submit the data for the payments.

They submit it a few days before the end of the month but don't actually have control over what day the payments post, and the mass payments seem to go through faster on weekdays. I don't fully understand how it works but am told it's similar to how the payments take a few days to reach your bank account when you withdraw money.
Hello everyone,

I just started shopping for Coyle and was wondering what their 1099/SSN policies were.
I was not asked for one when I became an evaluator so I am unclear when I would provide it.

Thank you very much!

I get a 1099 from them every year in late january/early march if memory serves.

When would they ask you for your SSN/EIN?
I'm like 90% sure that I was asked for it in December by the accounting manager before they sent out the 1099, but I may have also voluntarily provided it when I signed up on their old system.

Could you help me understand how taxes work for this kind of job?

Welcome to the forum. There's some great information about how Mystery Shopping works in the New Mystery Shopper area. Here's a link to tax information: [www.mysteryshopforum.com]
Does the Coyle 1099 include the reimbursement for restaurants or just their pay rate ($15-$30)?

Just pay rate and only if you reached $600.

Linda, when do I submit my Social Security Number to them? They have not asked yet.
Argh, Waiting almost two months now for an early-March hotel/restaurant/bar shop I performed for Coyle. Have about $850 in reimbursements that I'm waiting for. Getting a *tiny* bit nervous, because I've always been paid on the last day of the month.

Note to self: Do NOT tie up my Visa card for Coyle at the beginning of the month!
@ColoKate63 always schedule the expensive restaurants for near end of month if you can. It cuts down on the time you will be accruing interest charges.

...and don't be nervous. They may be a few days with payments at times buy Coyle has been very consistent about paying shoppers regularly for 20 years.
Oh, I know about "float" and early-month shops. It's just a bit annoying to have $$$ out for 45 days and counting.

I spent the second half of March in Cuba, so it was early in the month or not at all - and I was very curious about this particular city.

I'm heading in to the Colorado Springs VideoCon, and would like to free up my Visa so I can buy my favorite schedulers a round of drinks. :-)
It's worse with some of the hotels. I had to make a reservation for last week's hotel shop in January, before the hotel sold out, and they kept a full night of charges on my card since January. I have another high-end hotel later this month that's had the charge for the entire stay (Around $3k) charged in advance for the past 3 months!

I thought the charges had to be reversed by the hotel. Also is this the client that begins with K or another client?
Still waiting for my Coyle payment for March shops as well. Fingers crossed that it's today or tomorrow.
I just emailed Coyle --- I have not received mine either and need to pay my credit card!
