Coyle hotel report workload question

I have done a lot of these as well and I might be at 6 hours (but probably a little longer) if there is nothing significant about the stay or major issues encountered and if I got one of the few that don't have RS. I write as I go - because in the end I think it takes less time (no having to go back to refer to notes or pictures - I write it almost immediately, so yes - I write the before housekeeping section before I even leave the room for stayover). While I think this does save you time in the end, it significantly eats into ones enjoyment of the stay (so I understand why some just save it all for when they get home - even if that takes longer in the end).

Agree with Steve you are way ahead of the curve if you are at 6 hours out of the gate - and you should feel comfortable taking on a longer/more complicated assignments.

What takes time is the subjective/opinion stuff. If we were not required to do that for every section, I could bang one out in no time at all...

I traveled alone and had no obligations so I didn't mind spending time during my trip to just write.. it saved me a lot of time. The fact I was able to submit it before boarding my plane was such a relief.

Subjective stuff didn't bother me, what bothered me was organizing the narrative paragraphs in their correct sections.

I quit doing shops for Coyle. They're just not worth the trouble. They say their clients want all the excessive details that they ask for, but the problem is you can't even see the entire picture because you're focusing on everything one person says, the next person says, what the wearing what they're doing their description, writing it down or texting it to yourself. Then you do the report and a page after page after page of details. It's just ridiculous! Then after you spend 8 to 10 hours completing it, uploading pictures etc. a week later they'll ask you to give more details on the servers, the bell captain, whatever. I was so frustrated I told him that I would pay for it myself and they could just use the report or not use it. I didn't care.
I wasn't willing to spend any more time to give me them any more detail and I quit. Never again! I work for six different companies for over 20 years now and I've never quit a shopper company before until I work for Coyle!

Did a Coyle hotel shop this week...

Finished and submited it in the taxi-ride to the airport (mifi jetpack) . Granted I went alone and spent 2.5 hours each night (for a total of roughly 6 hours) writing it in my room.

Not too bad. Definitely a lot of work though but worth it.

It really seems like you already know the answer to your question.
I just joined. How does the reimbursement structure work? Do they reimburse you the price you paid for the hotel and give payment on top of that?
