I agree with gotshops. You should apologize. The instructions when you sign up with Maritz are very clear. Invoices are required. Although redundant and unnecessary, ICs are required to invoice Maritz for each job. As an independent contractor, you are running a business. Why would you feel you shouldn't have to invoice your customer if that's what the customer wants (and they told you in advance in writing)? And complaining because they didn't do it for you because they expected you to be able to read and follow the directions is just ridiculous.
Meaning no offense, because you clearly don't get it, if I were one of the Maritz schedulers, I would not schedule you for another shop either. You have shown that you cannot read and follow directions. And then you complained because you decided it is your customer's fault that you can't read and follow directions. And you still don't get that you are the one who is wrong here.

Either don't work for them again or apologize and explain that you now know you were wrong and that you understand the requirements and you will invoice for each assignment in the future if they will give you another chance.
