Are people really doing the Intellishop fast food shops for NO PAY? Mystery Shopping Discussion

Hurry before they're gone! Fast food shops with required order in a three-hour time window with four required photos that must be submitted within one hour. The fee? A whopping ZERO. Reimbursement only.

This is a new low even for Intellishop.

Not even a FF place I like to visit. I'm sure there will be some who take it.

There are 3 kinds of lies. Lies, Damn lies, and statistics.
I saw that... And someone took the one in my immediate area. Not me, I don't like their food enough to do it for reimbursement only.
I like the persistent, back to back emails about the assignment and how "incredibly easy and fun" it is. It is as if they are almost trying to convince themselves.
Not only is it reimbursement only, you're directed as to what to order. All big huge burgers that I would have zero interest in. I'll admit, I'm sick, I like their tacos.

Shopping up and down the Colorado Rocky Mountain front range.
As if the value of a sandwich is worth the time to drive there, eat, and write a report. Never, never, ever.

I wonder how much the client is paying them per shop. You can bet its far more than the price of a meal.
Yeah, I felt no resistance in my "click" finger as I hit delete on the 687 emails they sent about those fun and easy jobs! winking smiley
If it's so fun and easy, let the folks from Intellishop go out and do them! For no pay!
There are a couple near me so I thought I would pick up a couple. Then, I saw I have to take a picture of the restroom, gross, AND a picture of the inside menu CoVeRtLy AND a picture of the drive-thru menu CoVeRtLy AND a picture of the food AND they won't even buy me a drink to wash down that donkey-burger AND they won't even let me order curly-fries AND I have to report the shop within an hour of completing it. AND, if they can't read each and every menu price of EACH of the two menus then you won't get reimbursed an amount that doesn't even cover the meal......cheap bugers!
I expect they'll have trouble filling at least some of these. Especially once somebody does one and figures out it's too much trouble just for reimbursement.

I guess they forgot it takes gas to get there, and who has time to complete a survey right then and there on the spot? Sometimes I'm lucky enough to have time to review the guidelines before the next one.I feel the same way about the pizza shops with 0 pay only reimbursement delivered or picked up I don't care. Pizza's not on my must-have list since I worked at Marco's a year.
But I did take a Texas Roadhouse steak dinner for two since we never go out to eat (like that) survey was easy enough.

Yeah, and with Texas Roadhouse, you not only get a decent meal, but you don't have to take all those covert photos!
I charge $2.50 for each covert photo, above 2 it's $5.00 a piece! There's no way this $8 reimbursement pays for this shop unless you are there already and don't mind being inauspicious. Many of these "assignments" are that way.
I know we can't say what the name is but I think I know who it is. Sadly we don't have one here.
I accepted the coffee shop one in the bookstore. I didn't want to but I just signed with isecret and have a rating of 1. I need to get the 1 off of me. And I've got another shop scheduled in the same area.
I thought there was a typo at first. Oh they reimburse up to $8 so you may be doing that shop for a crappy burger with no fee - they have got to be high.
Same thing with the Pizza shop, and all the others really, if people would just wait. But most won't.

Yes, some newbs snatch up low/underpaying shops not knowing if we wait they will add a bonus. I've noticed in my area Market Force will add a make an offer challenge.
Another way is to wait till they up the out of town, rural areas that aren't far. Then when they put some decent offers up/or a Make an Offer, and take 4 or 5 in that town, so you will only drive out there once in the am and back in the pm. I did a day with a lunch ff shop, two audits, a motorcycle shop (for a different MSP) and a cell phone easy shop and a dinner ff shop, was a nice day for me, even if I had a bunch of reports to write that night smiling smiley
made well over $100 bucks for an easy low paying shop day (no big lump sums with big bonuses).
I was excited to see this client return anywhere, much less to the same MSC. And then I saw it was reimbursement only. Sorry, I need to be paid at least like $5-$6 to justify doing a shop that requires four photos even if there's no narrative. Even MF understands *that*.
That's the only way I shop anymore. There are some place I would shop for the opening price, I can't name them because some MSCs have been named already, but primarily I group the bonus' together or I don't bother. I studied up like crazy and passed the ICC Residential and Commercial certifications and I'm working on my realtor's license instead now.
Intellishop wants it all and gives nothing. I USE them when one of their shops works in a route of "good" mystery shops. Otherwise, they want a lot of information and don't feel as if they need to pay for it. You only have to do one of these no pay fast food shops to know it is a crappy deal.

I finally figured out how to unsubscribe from their emails without deactivating.
I might have missed 1-2 good jobs this year, but it was worth it to not have to delete 500 emails.
I log on every once in awhile to check their board.
I signed one bookstore without reading it when I first started. Then I read it. They wanted you to go to every single department, and I mean every single one for basically nothing. Needless to say, I canceled that shop and told them why.
