My name is Dacey Hartsfield, and I currently manage the Finance department for AboutFace. I was forwarded this thread, and I’ve read many complimentary comments, as well as the criticisms. First, I want to acknowledge that AboutFace has had multiple hurdles this year, which I’d like to address, here, in an effort be as transparent as possible.
In my area, alone, I’m new and still learning, so some over-pays and late-pays are due to my learning curve. That coupled with a new back-end process and issues with our payment processor, PayPal, caused delays three times, thus moving payments to the following Friday. Ultimately, we had to upgrade our payment program with them to rectify the issues.
We are also adjusting our technology and processes to make it easier for you to check your own payment schedule. We are automating and compressing steps that make our finance operations bulky and slow. You deserve a modern, shopper solution, on many fronts. We are working hard to get everything corrected and on the best path forward for 2019. And, we know that you rely on getting reimbursed/paid in a timely fashion and for this reason, I have personally responded to every shopper inquiry.
If you have questions about your pay, please reach out to me at

Oh, and one more thing. As a company we are rolling out a new program for the clients, called Customer Forensics™ which will expand our services to new brands. And because of this, we are launching Gig Central for our shoppers. There, you will be able to gain eligibility to new types of freelance work. It has been a team effort and we are excited to launch it the first half of 2019.
We value each and every one of you and hope you will continue to be a part of a new experience for clients and for our panel.
