I wonder if the payroll problems have to do with the changes in the tax code. The would have to update their system.

Shouldn't since 1099's are issued, not W-2's.

I've noticed that their payments have been later in the month than in the past for several months now. Been doing shops for them for 15+ years and it makes me wonder when they are always running later and defensive about it if they are having trouble covering payments. Just my theory.
The big blue cell phone shops are alive and well and just the other day I saw online furniture rental shops.@thegov2k2 wrote:
I haven't noticed any shops suddenly having the fee reduced after I accept it, and the fees seem to be following the usual pattern of going higher the closer we get to the end of the month.
I have noticed that they seem to have lost at least two major clients in the last year (the big blue cell phone company, the furniture rental store).
I feel like the payroll issues (amounts showing early and disappearing, etc) could just as easily be chalked up to a new person or group handling those functions and screwing up. The month that they post a guideline for when payments are going to show up and they miss it entirely, then I'll start worrying.

It annoys me when they call for the hedgehog shop and offer me $4 for the shop that's listed on the website for $8.50. More than one scheduler has tried to do that lately.

Hmmm.. I smell a rat, and the odor strengthens as each day passes with no payment received. Atleast the “payment error” in November was fixed in 4 days (although it took 3 days / multiple emails sent/ and a phone call, for a help desk reply, What they stated came true ... that the posted 11/12 payment was in error and was scheduled to be sent 11/16. (It hit the bank on 16th). And their reply included an apology.
The alarm was that of all the yrs I’ve received DD payment from MF (2011-18) there was NO previous conflict w/payment posted date (on site) and received- in-bank date. So I started calling bank and emailing help desk immediately.
Fast Forward to now Jan 2019. Payment posted 1/11 (friday), by Monday nothing in bank and payment posted was erased from site. Sinking feeling starts and emailing begins. Help desk replied in 2.5 days stating 1/11 posting was “mistake” , then removed and new date is 1/18. (not only is that a week delay, but also a friday.. another sinking feeling). Payment did get re-posted on 1/18, but not sent/released to the bank. Oh, and Monday’s a holiday, how convenient.
How does this make me feel? Folks, this is unacceptable treatment. You can’t tell somebody they’re getting paid on Friday and then not pay, and continue to not pay for over a week later!! With NO NOTICE, even. Why is there not a Huge announcement on the home page????
Marketforce, we had a good thing for quite a while. But now, I can no longer recommend you, including to myself.

My payment for December shops arrived this morning, too. That's full payment 19 days after the month ended. That makes MF one of the fastest-paying MSCs. I don't understand all of the hand-wringing here.

I'm having the same problem. They answered my email on 1/15 telling me my DD will come on 1/18. This morning they told me that since "they posted it late on 1/18th, that it didn't go through to the bank on time and will post Tuesday, since Monday is a holiday." I have done a bunch of shops and have more to do that require me to make a purchase for reimbursement. The amt$ is getting pretty big and I don't have the cash to float much longer. I don't want to cancel the shops but what do I do - I've already rescheduled a lot of them! UGH!!

For the past three months I have been trying to reestablish my DD. My credit union changed their routing number and I had to cancel the DD with MF and set it up again. In the interim, I’m back to payment by check. The DD has been in a pending verification status with MF for over 90 days. There website says it should take 30 days. I wrote the Help Dedk and got the following reply which to me indicates they are having accounting problems.
“Our Accounting department encountered an issue with direct deposit verifications and we asked all shoppers affected to reapply. Unfortunately when they reapplied, the issue continued. We are waiting to hear back from our Accounting department to see if the issue has been identified and corrected. As soon as this has happened, someone will respond back to you.”
