I graduated college without understanding the language 100%. Heck, I do shops around the world and still dont have a full grasp of few languages I perform shops in. It’s all good. When someone pays us, we don’t mind accents and not understanding other person fully. It is when you don’t get (or can’t get) smiling smiley benefit or you cannot fulfil expactations then yeah, the accent is the issue. I must agree winking smiley

I'm still in LOL mode for someone being called "reverse racist" for calling a newbie out on her dumb azzedness.

Although you can tell their schedulers are foreign, they speak enough English to be understood. They have some kind of accent but I can understand them almost all the time, certainly not worth criticizing.

I'm pretty sure that the "foreign" schedulers are from the Philippines based on their accent.
What do you think the chances are that Market Force will pay this week?

They have not given us one single sign that they can make payroll on time. Thats not good!
Yes, I am not thrilled with the fact that there is zero announcement regarding this month's payments.

I would assume everything is normal unless we hear otherwise. I dont expect notification that things will be on time.

With no announcement, not even the usual one about payments going out from the 15th to the 20th, I am a bit nervous.
Yes, they use to pay early, around the 10th. Thier contract states by the 20th,which of course they havent made in several months. I just hope the company is not having issues.
There was no pay from Market Force today.

Anyone heard anything about payments in April?

Have several months payments been late? I had one late and they posted about it in advance.
If you and Mrs. Cheney are so nervous about it, why do you continue to take shops from them? I fully expect I will get paid within the next week or so. No big deal.

If you don't like reading about peoples concerns about getting paid from Market Force then why in the world would you go to a thread about that very thing and then troll and belittle people in that thread? Take a hike can you do that for us please? We don't appreciate your attacks!

Do not play that favorite troll game either. You know the one where the Forum troll accuses unwitting victims of being some person that they have trolled and abused and ran off in the past. No I am not your vanquished forum poster of days gone bye that you ran off that has came back to haunt you. Sorry that is not I! But yeah thanks for telling us that you have engaged in this unsocial behavior against strangers on the internet in the past.

@JASFLALMT has a perfectly reasonable question. If a person is so concerned about receiving payment from a company that s/he is motivated to post a gripe online, would it not make sense to simply not work for them? If I did not trust I would be paid for my work, I'd simply not work for the MSC.

All these mystery shoppers posting here have a perfectly reasonable fear of not getting paid on time. They should be entitled to the right to come here and voice that fear without you coming in here and belittling them.

Drama is getting thick on this thread. Yes, Market Force states payments will be made this week. If so, it will fall within the specified time frame per the IC agreement. So, let's wait and see. Everyone can use your own discretion on whether you want to shop for them or not. I understand the concerns, but that's the risk we take as shopper's.
I would like to read the IC agreement. They always refer to it but I can’t find a link on their site. Anyone have it? I specifically wonder if it says “around” the 15th to 20th as they state on their web page.
Never mind. I found the ICA with a simple google search. It does say ”around” which gives them plenty of leeway. Too bad we can’t submit our reports “around” their deadline.

Any shopper with concerns can certainly express those concerns here. They are entitled to the right to come here and voice that fear. However, others are allowed to post disagreeing or asking questions. That is what JASFLALMT did. She asked a question. She, like all other posters here, is entitled to post her questions and her opinions. I saw nothing belittling in her question. You appear to be looking for things to scold about on one thread after another.

Proposed resolution: Let's all express our opinions and ask our questions. Every poster has the right to express opinions and ideas without anyone pointing fingers and starting trouble. No more arguments about who has the right to express ideas and make posts. EVERYONE has the right to express ideas and make posts. And even trouble-makers have the right to express scolding opinions, at least until enough complaints are filed with the owner and the moderators.
Working for various companies is our choice, if you don't trust them, don't work for them...a company from time to time maybe a few days late, bite your tongue until you really have a complaint. Some of you need to look for another job with a paycheck, unless your worried about not having done a good job, and your pay may in fact be denied.

Live consciously....

I have noticed that they seem to have lost at least two major clients in the last year (the big blue cell phone company, the furniture rental store).

they still have big blue, although the fees have dropped drastically. I took about 25 blue shops last summer at $30 each, now they are offering $15 each for the EXACT SAME announced audit assignment. They recently raised it to $20 but I'm not going to bother until they reach at least $30 again.
@Sobrokeigot2dothis
If I were trying to belittle you, it would be obvious.

Here are my questions:
* Over the last year, in which months has MarketForce been late with their payments? (Late = after their stated payment date by more than a weekend or holiday)
* Of those months when payment was late, did they notify shoppers of the tardy payments or leave everybody hanging (notify = email, phone, text notifications and/or an announcement on their website where shoppers would see it clearly.)

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
Here is the quote in question:

"All compensation will be paid in arrears via check or direct deposit around the 15th to 20th of each calendar month, which covers completed assignments received in our office during the previous month."

So... late = ?
The wording is vague, but I would suggest that anything after the 25 is definitely late...
