Second to none

Anyone get paid this morning by them (15th) via Direct Deposit? I haven't yet and last month busted my hump and they owe me over 500 bucks and I have not gotten it in yet to my checking account. I had to buy new tires so I borrowed from "peter to pay paul" with the mortgage money (when did tires become so expensive???) and need to go to BOA today to pay that before they send out a hit team after me. (they borrow billions and trillions but pay a day late and you're the bad guy). any thoughts would be helpful. I emailed STN but as yet to hear back.

I'm really sorry this happened with yet another company....$500.00 is so much, and before the holidays, and playing with your mortgage, really serious. We need a place to go for re-course. I have not been screwed over for more than 10.00 from time to time, with both Second to none, Goodwin (still waiting for them to pay) and June and her team of bandits, both a few years ago, I just dropped it and them. I did give Goodwin a second chance, will see the end of this month.

I think it important to keep talking about things like this, let all shoppers know, and they'll get there's, what comes around, goes around.

Live consciously....
No. They owe me hundreds also. Since payment changed to direct deposit, Sept., Oct., and Nov. all hit on the 15th. My Report Archive still shows "Accepted Payment Pending" for all November shops. This is definitely not the month to mess up a good thing.
The word I got from STN "Apparently payments won’t be posted until tomorrow morning."
I got that message too from them. Until I get it I'm not about to say anything but if I don't get it tomorrow I will not be amused and will let them know. The 15th is the 15th. I don't want to hear about snow, weather, etc. You had 14 days to prepare it and it should have gone in. 500 bucks is a lot of money and I don't want to even drop off my mortgage payment until it is in my account because I can't take the chance.
I agree. When they set the pay date, they set it on the 15th. With the exception of weekends or holidays, they did not build in any wiggle room, i.e, 30-45 days. Say what you mean and do what you say, STN.
No kidding Mert. It must be nice because when I say I'll pay on X day, my creditor says to me "you pay on this day or you get shut off/fined/or have your rates increase". I'm actually going to email Jason back and ask what the delay was. This was the first month I really needed it on the 15th as it was a huge payout to me (probably 200+ was money I put out of my own pocket to be reimbursed).
I sent them this:

Is there any particular reason the payroll did not hit on the 15th as per the payroll schedule? I have a lot owed to me for incentive and reimbursements and really needed it today. I can understand that things happen but I can't exactly tell my utility/mortgage company that I'll pay it on this day instead of this one when we have an agreement on the due date.
Suzie, I hope you get an answer - a REAL answer. Payment with them has never been an issue, and hopefully that's the way it stays.
Mert:

8 am and still nothing, no response to emails and I am livid and scared now that my mortgage is going to be late. I have to go to a school thing for until 4 pm; are you going to call them too? If you do and find out something could you email me directly at ? I can't read the linked messages in my phone that come from here so I have to ask you to email me directly. I wouldn't ask but I can get email on my phone and that way I won't be calling the bank all morning or giving second to none a piece of my mind. Let me know please?

i have received direct deposit and it states is is pending, which means it is just about to go through, and it states the amount. I think I'm fine. They really are a pretty reliable company to work for, and one that will let you have reasonable bonuses.
Interesting. Some months back when STN offered the option to direct deposit, as well as PayPal, I switched. Direct deposit is my preferred payment method. Odd that direct deposit would be delayed by one day, but not PP.
Mine showed deposit of 12/14/2010, but didn't show up on my checking account until 12/16/2010. But al least it made t.

I do little for them as they do not do too much in my part of the world. But I did two $80 invitation only shops for them in November. I did not change to DD as I will write off the small losses on the $160 I earned. I got paid through PP on Dec. 15th. Perhaps they had a glitch with their bank transmissions or they submitted it a day late?

Yes, it is not worth the frustration. I will pay for cleaning rather than have to do the report, send in solution, and beg for my own money back.
When I read this it was oh no! but I got paid on the 15th as stated, swo I was a happy camper.
On the positive side - They have a couple of really nice people working there. I enjoy a positive interaction each time. I just wish they were in "Positions of Power". They would quickly resolve pay problems. My 2c...winking smiley

Shopping Bama and parts of Georgia.
I'm still learning 24/7.
I just did my first two shops for them. They have lots of shops in my state but not near my area.

"NEW in 2011! STN will be conducting Note Audits to ensure accurate information is recorded. You MUST keep your notes for 30 days after your visit as you may be asked to send them in to STN for verification of the information in your report."

As most of my notes are written in shorthand, with frequent acronyms, abbreviations, etc. I'm not certain how it could be proven that I recorded accurate information.
As I put my notes into a notepad on my Ipad or phone that ought to be really interesting, especially as S2N does not work with Apple according to them. What am I supposed to do, scan my Ipad screen and send it to them.?
I am looking forward to having my notes requested for an audit. STN doesn't share ratings, so no news is good news. However, their comments regarding the accuracy of my notes would be highly anticipated.

A few to share -

F U - y
BS, WC, RA, KP
M, bla - (now this one could be a Caucasian)
rot n (nothing to doing with anything rotten)

And, I just love shorthand.
Which, of course, brings us to an interesting question. We are to read the instructions and make the required observations. These are to be recounted in our report. Do they anticipate we are making unrequired observations, that we are not reporting what we observed or just what? My complete set of notes for a recent shop (not for STN) are "6:46-1-CMBNFNG510-5:42-7:07no pot". One of today's shops has no notes because I submitted the DVR recording (again not for STN), but for many many shops the only 'notes' are the recording. But yes, receipts are preserved as if they were fair and fragile butterflies.
I have every receipt from every shop I've ever done, with the exception of one. A question arose, and the MSP wanted the original, which I mailed.

Another interesting question regards the MSP (and there are several who suggest this), who says to print the questionnaire, and following the shop, take it off site and write notes, completing it. Does not doing so, i.e. printing and handwriting answers, put a shopper in violation?
Interesting notion. I have rarely done so because in most cases the indication is not to take it in with you and frankly I would prefer not have it in the vehicle either. To say nothing of reducing the value of the shop by the expense of printing out in some cases huge volumes of drivel.
Interesting idea. I usually do not print, and when I do, I do not usually use it to answer the questions or make notes and save. I make my notes on index cards, which I do save, along with the receipt. So far I have all, but I have only done this a couple years now.
It would seem to me that if is what they want they should provide a boiler plate document that each shopper should use for notes otherwise the report itself should provide all the documentation needed. I do use a program called PDF creater to save a copy of the completed report.
