These assignments are grossly underpaid. They should offer and honest wage for honest work. $7.00 for an Audit is just bad.

I was looking for more apps and just downloaded and was curious about others experiences. I see they only do gas stations, shame but it does pay 10 bucks which is manageable if it doesn't take too long. I have a measuring tape already so will go to the dollar store to see if I can get a longer one or Walmart. I have an Observa close to home so I will give it a try it is 0.2 miles away from me so why not. I'm nervous though but will swallow my pride, I heard it pays if approved within the hour? is this real? if so this might beat FA easy. I have been reading the negative reviews to get a feel for it. Skeptical but I think we might have a winner here![]()
Questions:
1. Does Oberva pays in USD or CAD? since I'm canadian if it pays in USD. This would be of great help.
2. Another thing, do they easily accept shops? I mean I have like 127 shops completed for FA with 12 expired/3 rejected. I'm expecting for something similar.
3. Do they really pay in like an hour or so?
4. Is it only Gas station audits? (judging by what I'm seeing I'd say yes)?
5. Do shops ever get bonused? all the shops I'm seeing now say 48 days left (what does that mean? until it is taken off or reposted)
6. For 30 minutes, what the hell do they want you to do? I mean does it have like 100 pictures that type of long winded deal?
I wish it would provide more information, I already checked their FAQ and vague as hell.
Thanks and love this forum,
saves me so much time and guessing especially with new apps

They do pay out on the weekends and I have done them (Truck Stop shops) but they are definitely more work in my opinion. I do anything they offer because they pay quick and don't fuss...unless you don't take the pictures they want. I always take extra pictures just in case and use any criticism to improve my shops. They never did get back to me about closed shops or shops permanently with no attendant or that isn't an actual gas station. They said we should get paid anyways but I'm not sure they mean that. I went to at least 2 shops that were closed or not gas stations. I'm hoping the rep that responds to posts will say something soon![]()
Good luck and Go for it and some tips that helped me out.
1. Have print outs of the Authorization sheet.
2. Have at least 2 measuring tapes.
3. Have a visibility jacket. I got mine at Walmart, hell I even saw one at the dollar store.
4. Be organized and follow their directions. Count the number of pumps to ensure you didn't miss one.
I found I cut my time is down to about 25-30 minutes occasionally 45 minutes down from about 1.5.
