Does anyone expect HS Brands to pay up (and on time?)

I sent an email to Ryanna, which is a scheduler for KSS and didn’t get any response from her either.
@Lorri Kern KSS is good friends with Tom Mills, CEO of HS Brands. @Lorri Kern KSS, since Tom has decided not to participate in this forum, would you please contact him on behalf of shoppers about overdue February payments and give an update on the situation here?

Try Lorri and see what happens.
I just sent out 5 more emails so we’ll see. It wouldn’t be so bad if they didn’t owe me so much money.
Just heard from Lorri, this was her response and it doesn’t sound good.

They terminated work with us in March due to COVID19... but I have forwarded your email to everyone I know there.

You can also call Lisa Malkowski at 1-800-723-1150

Well, it would make sense that they terminated work with Kern as of the end of March since there were no shops to schedule. I'm also still waiting to be paid but apparently people were paid earlier this month. So I'm not as much of a pessimist as you are. If I were out of pocket or anything, I'd be more upset.

I'm not sure who your 5 emails you sent went to, but it seems like writing to the boss (Tom) is the only one that is worth sending.

Yes Tom was one of the 5 that I emailed and got no response. I emailed Tom, Lorri, Ryanna, she was the scheduler that I worked with. Payments@hsbrands and admin@hsbrands.com. I also just sent one to Lisa since she’s the one Lorri told me to contact.
I’m out of pocket $399.95. That’s how much the client charged me to do my taxes.

Ouch. I'd be upset about that, too. I personally would not do a shop for this company with such a large out of pocket, but that's just me.

I hope they did a better job than Turbotax would have, for that price.

They did an ok job lol. The guy was late for the appt and when he got there, he smelled like marijuana and looked like he’d just woke up.

Lorri forwarded my email to someone name Patty. Patty then copied me on an email she sent to Lisa Malkowski asking her to contact me about my payment. I emailed her as well so hopefully I’ll get somewhere now.

Love it when stuff like that happens on a shop! Makes it much easier to write it up.

Good luck getting paid.

The mods will fix it in a few hours

Sorry, I didn’t realize that.
You can edit your post. I just edited my reply to you that included the name. I changed it to (client).
@Lorri Kern KSS knows that HS Brands is very late again with payments and that shoppers are waiting to be reimbursed and paid for shops they completed months ago. She mentioned on here that she knows the owner of HS Brands, Tom Mills, extremely well and has known him for over 23 years. She also knows that lots of shoppers did her, her kid, and her other schedulers a huge favor by picking up shops after being contacted and begged to take them. I would expect much more from Lorri than simply forwarding an e-mail from an individual shopper to "everyone she knows." She can easily contact Tom directly and relay information from him, like she did after he sent his e-mail blast promoting a "great opportunity" from another company for shoppers to shop for and deliver groceries in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic.

She is likely waiting to be paid as well for scheduling services they performed (unless they get paid faster than shoppers). I'm not sure what you expect her to do beyond forwarding the email. Do you think he'll decide to pay people because she told him to? Or maybe if she asks him nicely?
KSS scheduled these shops in advance of when we completed them, so my guess is that she has already been paid.

I would expect Lorri to reach out to Tom and let us know what he says, like she did here: [www.mysteryshopforum.com].

At the very least, an update on the payment situation would be appreciated. Remaining silent is extremely inconsiderate and a terrible way to run a business.

If they terminated with Kern in March, why is Kern still sending out emails for jobs for them? I just received an email two days ago from KSSNola cos HS Brands.

After getting the email from Lorri yesterday, I emailed Lisa Malkowski. I just received my payment this morning and an apology email from her.
MSF posts--I would expect much more from Lorri than simply forwarding an e-mail from an individual shopper to "everyone she knows."

Bob's comment--I would not, as Lorri's business is scheduling; as such, she is not involved with shopper payroll. She extended a courtesy by forwarding the letter.
@shopperbob, Lorri recruits people for Tom, her friend of 23 years. She is not in charge of running Tom's business. As a courtesy though, she could contact her friend Tom about the situation, rather than just forwarding e-mails. Simply forwarding e-mails is a very hands-off approach. KSS partnered with HSB on these shops. So Lorri has the obligation to make a decent effort to see that the shoppers she recruited get paid.

I received my payment this morning for a shop I did in late February. I had emailed Tom a week a go.

Thanks. I did not get paid so I just emailed Tom.
I've been emailing for a week about $600+ owed from February shops. 1st it was to contact HS Brands and now it's admin saying they don't have access to the payment system and she is forwarding the email. I really hope i get paid soon.
Email Lisa. She is the accounting manager and after emailing her, I finally got paid. Her email is
lisa.malkowski@hsbrands.com
