New email from IPSOS

I took the quiz again on Monday, May 4. Here it is Friday, May 8 and no reply.

Moving forward, as a Maritz legacy shopper, I hope their new IPSOS owners aren't going to be this unavailable. I find it odd that there isn't even a "Larry Loos" type of person (IOW, an IPSOS rep) coming onboard here to make some kind of assurances. Or, at least to address these issues.

I took the test several times and did not pass when originally sent. I took it again on the Presto site and passed. immediately after taking
Now this is annoying: I selected two of the purple pins yesterday and there were about 10 left in my area. There were 25 to 30 in the town an hour away. I did my 2 this morning and had trouble submitting. I go an error message i didn't have java enabled which is nonsense. They fixed it and i was able to submit in the 4th try and now they have all disappeared, not just turned to gray like someone else is doing them, disappeared. We were supposed to be able to do multiple shops, just 2 at a time. This is a lot of work with the test, selfie to do just 2 jobs.
None of the places near me offer inside serving,. All restaurants are still only drive thru and pickup.
The county is still closed so I did not attempt to do them.
After reading the information, Are you supposed to take pictures of the social distancing and the signs about health information? .
I have an N95 mask and a box of ten brand new surgical masks in original packaging from when I was very sick in 2014. I gave several to friends and family in high-risk categories and kept a few for my own use. For the Shop Safe program, I went ahead and submitted a photo wearing a surgical mask, and boom! it was immediately rejected. Ipsos said something along the lines of it was unlawful for me to have a surgical mask because they were reserved for health care workers, which prompted a giant eye roll on my part. I'm not sure how many shops there will be in my neck of the woods, but I guess I can always wrap a floral handkerchief around the surgical mask and resubmit. Smh.

When they rejected my application because I wore a surgical mask, they included some of the same "carefully crafted" language. I think they are trying to tell you to resubmit the photo with a mask, without making it a specific requirement (I can sense the lawyers reading over their shoulders).

Where do I find the test on the presto site?
I looked last night and couldn't find it. Or do we have to sign up for presto under IPSOS?

If you haven't taken the test using the link in tbe IPSOS email and you are signed up on Presto, when you click on the purple pin to select a shop safe job, it will prompt you to take the test. They ask what email address you use for IPSOS Sassie, IPSOS Shopmetrics and Legecy Maritz.
absolutely ridiculous ! I, again, completed the test and submitted yet another mask pic. After this, I am done. Not worth the $ tho this MSC is a good one. Hope this is fixed.
The total money for one day of work in a small town would be good. I did not take the test or see the survey, so I do not know if it is possible to complete all locations in one day.

And yes. This is a good MSC. The client has the requirements which the MSC conveys to us.

The limit is 2, not 2 per day. After you do 2 all the purple pins disappear. So $24 in a small town where there are no other opportunities is not that great.

I have had the same issue today. Did two and submitted both with no problem this morning. If I check online, dozens of shops show up, but as soon as I login, they disappear.
I agree - why can I not do as many as I can, like any other Presto shop??

The email from the MSC clearly says "2 at a time" not a limit of 2

I took a bandana out of my scarf drawer and made the mask with the hair elastics. I just don't like the Presto platform. I can see where this is going, to cut out schedulers. I also don't like only being able to pick 2 jobs. It makes it really hard to plan a day.
Exactly. How are you supposed to create a profitable route when you are only allowed to accept two shops at a time?

I am someone who saw what was going on in China and began buying N95 masks in early February when I read on twitter that there were people buying them here and mailing them to family in Asian countries. I have a supply to those and KN95 masks as well. Oh and I have a box of surgical masks that my dentist gave me. I won't be buying a cloth mask so I probably won't be shopping for IPSOS in the near future.

Welcome to the club!

This company is absolutely ridiculous because I DO work in the medical field and I AM required to wear a higher grade mask. Some shoppers and auditors do have jobs IRL.
Everyone - I work for Ipsos and wanted to clarify these assignments when it comes to masks. You absolutely CAN wear a medical grade mask. The "cloth mask" was only intended for shoppers who might not have access to a medical grade mask. If you are in a hot zone or do not feel comfortable doing shops with a cloth mask, by all means you can wear a medical mask. Please know, we had thousands of applicants, so if a few were declined based on mask, please apply again. These shops are intended to find out what safety measures are in place in various stores and your comfort level based on those safety measures. We ask for a selfie photo of you wearing a mask for internal purposes only, as we need to verify you have a mask to wear if needed, and you know how to properly wear it. Your safety is absolutely our first concern, so if any part of this is not something you're comfortable with, feel free to not participate. On the other hand, these shops are ultra easy, and if you're looking for work to do, these are just the preface of more to come. Questions? Feel free to email me directly at diana.paone@ipsos.com. Thank you and stay safe!
Ipsos pretty much disgusts me. Take a good thing (Maritz) and totally effs it up.
Janalou - Not sure what you mean but I'd love to discuss it with you. Please email me. My comment had nothing at all to do with Maritz.
dpaone - Ipsos,

The following are the problems I experienced when attempting to change form DD to PayPal:

1-Sassie site--I was unable to log-in, as an error message appeared explaining there was not an account with my supplied info. When I requested a re-set, another page stated that if there was not an account with my E-address, I would not receive a reply.

2-Shopmetrics site--I was able to log-in, but the page stated I needed to update my profile. On the notifications page, though, my "yes" options had been changed to "no." I edited back to "yes" but an error appeared:

Failed to update record: Email(s) bounced

I next clicked the contact info tab, which had my correct E-address. Finally, I returned to the notifications page, only to discover all "yes" options had reverted to "no." If you are able to assist me, please do.

EDIT--As to Sassie, my re-set letter arrived approx. 90 minutes after my request; I cancel that portion of my post.
Shopperbob, Are you using a cell phone yet? If so, when you go to enter your email addy somewhere, such as a login page, the email addy will pop up as a suggestion on your keyboard after entering the first few characters. You can click on it to skip the extra typing and it will fill the form BUT will add an empty space after it as if you are going to proceed with another word in a sentence. You have to delete that invisible space or it will be seen by the system as an additional character and invalidate your email addy. This is my experience and it depends on the phone, settings, etc. "YMMV!"
Helena,

Thank you for the suggestion, but I use a desk top. The lone problem I am still encountering with the Shopmetrics platform is being able to turn shop notifications on without them being turned back off. At this point, and having only completed a dozen jobs for Ipsos in nine years, I have given up on resolving the problem.
Shopper Bob I know this is "Duh!" advice but do you remember to Save the page when you are done turning shop notifications back on. This has happened to me so many times. It is such a stupid thing.
