Will Gas Stations from Maritz CX (now Ipsos) start up again on May 1st?

The gas station client that I work for halted the entire program back in March. I have not received any word yet if they are starting up again on May 1st or maybe on next Monday. I have never worked for Ipsos so I am a transfer from Maritz.

I am only registered on that Sassie site. Do I have to register on their other site also? Not sure why they have two platforms.

The over the phone schedulers at Ipsos (formerly MaritzCx) are furloughed until at least June 5th.

Where did you get that information from? I have been checking the web sites and reading the emails but I have not seen that stated anywhere.

So if I only want one particular gas station client from the Maritz, all I have to do is click on the new Ipsos link that is showing on the old Maritz site which is now no longer working. Right?

I did that. Nothing there. But it does not matter anymore since I will not be working for Ipsos. They will NOT allow me to wear a N95 mask which I am required to do in my real life job.
What does the mask requirement at your job have to do with anything? N95s aren’t required in public, so what’s your point? You can wear your required mask at work and a cloth one on shops. It’s not like masks are even required at all in some places.
I suspect LuvsTraveling WANTS to wear an N-95 mask in public and is saying he/she has access to those masks at work. I am sometimes required to wear surgical (medical but not N-95) masks IRL, not while shopping. I sometimes reuse those masks elsewhere, but I don't feel entitled to wearing them.
Maybe LuvsTravling is in a high risk group? If someone feels safer wearing a N95 mask and they have them on hand, why are they not allowed to wear them? N95 masks are more effective than cloth masks, and if someone has them already it seems silly to make them go purchase or make their own cloth masks when they already have access to better ones.
I am not familiar enough with the N95 masks to know for sure about them, BUT the masks with the vent allows breath to escape the mask, thus making it easier for the wearer to breathe. The point of wearing a mask in public is to both keep YOUR breath from affecting others AND to keep THEIR breath from affecting you. Since these types of masks do NOT prevent your breath from escaping, they are not protecting others from your (potentially) infectious exhalations.
Well, Ipsos made certain assumptions, and not all of them are valid. It appears Ipsos assumed that all surgical and N-95 masks should be reserved for medical personnel and people who really need them and that shoppers don't really need such masks.

Also, perhaps IPSOS does not want shoppers to draw more attention than necessary while shopping? I know I notice people wearing N-95 masks more than I notice people wearing other types of masks in public. That's because the vast majority of people in my area are not wearing N-95 masks.

I am in more than one high-risk group for the Rona and still have some N-95 masks I bought from before the pandemic. I just choose not to wear them unless I feel I really need the extra protection. Everyone has to decide for themselves what type of mask, if any, they wear. Ipsos gets to decide what their shoppers are allowed to do during Ipsos shops. Shoppers get to decide whether they will perform shops. I know I would not apply for, or accept, any Ipsos shop where I feel wearing a cloth mask would be insufficient protection from the virus.

You've made excellent points, but please note that not all vents/valves are the same. Some vents actually have filters. Such vents filter the air going out of the masks but still make breathing easier because the filters are less restrictive than the materials used for the rest of the masks. Also, some people wear a surgical or cloth mask OVER N-95 masks. I see that in my area every week. (I am not confined to my home all the time because I must engage in essential activities. I do try to stay home as much as possible, though.)

I am not in a high risk group but the older people that I am seeing at their homes ARE high risk and I am in a high risk part of the United States. By law, we are required to wear some sort of mask or face covering at all stores and even in public spaces. I am traveling all day long so I am not going to constantly be changing out masks AND having to touch my face to do so for measly shop. But that is my decision.

I notice the cloth masks more. They are usually colorful and have different designs on them. Flowers, college mascots, superheros, puppies and kitties, etc. I find that more people will talk to you randomly in public because of the type of design on the cloth masks. I really don't need strangers striking up conversations with me.

It won't work for Ipsos. You have to send a selfie of you wearing the mask to be approved for shops. I have already decided that I do not want to work fr them. I was a transfer from Maritz. I did not work for Ipsos before COVID-19.
I do not know does that not get into the realm of being an employee because of the control factor?

I have found that they have three sites including old Maritz site. I have tried to call them but the phones and get a recording that they are not taking calls but direct you to use the Ipsos email. What I am afraid of is that they are consolidating all three companies in to one using only the Presto app. I am finding that their IshopSafety shops are the same Gas stations that I have shopped before in my area.

One other thing as I read this post is why is everyone so upset my wearing a mask? Why do they think it can only be a N95 Mask? Remember the mask is to keep you from spreading the virus not keep you from getting it. Remember this, the life you save may be sitting next to you.

Guys, I took the quiz, substituted a random pic for the mask selfie and was able to self-assign safe shops which were accepted. Just a few days ago I got the email saying I was apprived. After shops had been done. So, I repeat, THE MASK PIC IS NOT MANDATORY! The debate over it is moot.

Well, to tell the truth, it is never really moot it is just that some people like to argue. And this is posted in the wrong area anyway. Was talking about Maritz and then it morphed into Isafeshops.

This seems to be the only shops that Ipsos (MaritzCX) is offering is The safety shops that are on the Presto app at least in the 4 states I can shop (AZ,UT,NM,CO)
If you are doing a shop to document COVID-19 protections, it's not a surprise we in turn demonstrate our compliance to having a face mask since many local guidelines require such. Now I'm not sure why IPSOS cares what kind of face mask. If they won't accept whatever you choose for the photo, you move on.

That said, if you are new to IPSOS, I doubt this means all future IPSOS shops will require a photo of shoppers in a face mask. I think it's a unique opportunity to offer these particular shops.

As of May 20 I have found only two shops (Bank Shop Phoenix) on the Ipsos/MaritzCX (https://us-v2.ipsosmysteryshopping.com) site. for AZ,NM,CO,UT. This has been a surprise for it has been crickets to this point.

I was denied the certification BECAUSE I was wearing a N-95 mask which IS ridiculous. I was being "punished" for having a higher grade of mask.

Maritz was bought out by Ipsos which IS the company doing the ishopsafe shops so it is not a big deal.
Just speaking for myself:

I am not upset at all about wearing a mask. I usually wear a surgical or cloth mask in public. Those masks are MOSTLY to keep me from possibly spreading the virus but masks do offer SOME sort of protection to the wearer. Why do you think the CDC calls for everyone to let doctors and nurses and other medical personnel have the N-95s? It's because they are among those most exposed to the virus and need the N-95s to protect themselves. N-95 masks provide the most protection. Surgical masks provide more protection than most cloth masks.

Everyone has to decide what to do for themselves. I am in multiple high risk groups but I do not live in a high risk area. I stay home unless I must engage in essential activities, observe social distancing, wash my hands often, avoid high risk areas, and try to protect myself when people around me are not doing their part to protect others. I have decided to wear cloth or surgical masks instead of N-95 masks most of the time as a result. I have given approximately 80% of my N-95 masks to people who need the protection much more than I do and am reserving the other 20% for now.

Many people are not saying or thinking it can only be an N-95 mask. They are saying they are choosing to wear N-95 masks, for various reasons.
