Mintel Payment One Day Late

4/15 was the scheduled payment date. None of my shops are paid yet. I am curious rather than worried. Mintel usually pays like clockwork.

Is Mintel late paying anyone else? Thanks.

My scheduler got back to me. It was a one-off mistake. I will be paid at the end of the month.

Glad to hear. Now Market Force needs to pay up.
One day... BFD. If every MSC was only one day late, I'd be jumping with joy over the cashflow.
How rude.

When an MSC usually pays like clockwork (twice a month), and when the amount involved is hundreds of dollars, is a shopper supposed to say nothing and not even allowed to wonder what's going on?

MSing is not a job, it is a business. It is a fact of business that on occasion customers become past due. When that happens one can certainly wonder as to why, but to publicly inquire - mentioning the customer's name when doing so - after only one day is bad form: it is rude (and not on my part).

If a one day slow payment of a few hundred dollars is too much for your business to tolerate, perhaps you would be well advised to seek more customers.

Saving the complaining about slow payments for when you have customers who show real tardiness in payment. Complain when they go 30, 60, 90 days past due. But not for a mere single day.
Do you have trouble with reading comprehension or is something else going on?

Responding to someone's post/thread with "BFD" was rude. The more you deny it, the more foolish you appear.

Kindly point to where I complained or stated I could not handle a late payment of hundreds of dollars for a couple of weeks.

In my OP, I specifically stated I was curious instead of worried and I asked if other shoppers were experiencing the same thing. When the scheduler got back to me and promised payment, I updated the thread promptly and did not complain (to the scheduler or on this forum) that the scheduler did not correct the mistake right away. I was fine waiting another two weeks.

Please note that I never named the scheduler.

There are numerous threads on this forum where other shoppers named MSCs that missed their scheduled payment dates or when direct deposits did not get credited as expected (even when the MSCs in question were not technically late). Sometimes, posts are created on the same day as the scheduled/expected date. AFAIK, no one else has deemed it appropriate to respond to those posts with "BFD."

One day.... even direct deposits from huge corporations can run one day late. There is no way the amount you get from Mintel will make or break a mortgage payment etc. breathe folks breathe.
I should have been paid on July 1st and still don't have any money. It's now the 11th. They have been having problems for three pay periods that I know of. I get, "We're having payroll issues" when I ask. How long is it going to take to fix these issues? Since this continues to occur it makes me think there is a bigger problem.
Mine hit on the first like clockwork. Never ever had a late pay. Make sure you submitted an invoice on time
I have turned in all my invoices so I do believe it is the scheduler who messed up again. She isn't very efficient and takes weeks to answer an email. The home page says my payment was processed on July 7th and will be paid shortly. That usually means the same day or the next day. Odd that I sent an email and like magic I get the notice on my home page the same day. I still think something is amiss.
It sounds like one scheduler not the whole company to be fair

I believe you are correct. This scheduler is very slow and I was used to another scheduler who was the epitome of efficiency. This woman is very slow. I don't want her to lose her job just get with the program.
I always submit the invoice as soon as I turn in the shop. These payments are for post office boxes. Is that what you got paid for?
She is not the best I agree. I miss the scheduler she replaced. None of my Invoices for June were approved in time for the June 30/July 1 payment. And yes this is for the 'shops' which involve P.O. Boxes. I am waiting on a reply from her regarding a new assignment to replace the one that is closing at the end of July. And yes it can take weeks to get a reply from her. Very Frustrating. Especially given how quick the scheduler she replaced was at returning emails.

Yes, I miss Josh.

The "new" scheduler isn't really all that new anymore. Yes, she is slow, but she is also pretty easy to work with except for that.

Also, she may be taking on more responsibilities and having to deal with additional logistics issues. Barbara Fudd used to be the receiver of the P.O. boxes stuff shoppers sent to Mintel. Now, the "new" scheduler is the receiver. Also, the mailing address has changed several times recently.

Do I wish she would improve her response time? Yes! But then, I try to imagine what it may be like for a scheduler taking on a big project during a pandemic. As long as she seems to be trying and keeps a positive attitude (which she is, IMO), I am happy to work with her.
The scheduler emailed me and said she was sorry and my invoices have been ok'd and I'll be paid on the 15th. This is the second time it's her fault. My home page said I was ok'd on the 7th which was the first day I complained. Someone was covering for her! This is very frustrating, not because of the money but because of the inefficiency.
Hey, be glad that you do not have to deal with a company that filed for bankruptcy because you will never get paid for several weeks of work. They say that they will put you in line behind the other creditors and you will be lucky if you get 2 cents on the dollar that you are owed. So a late check or deposit is not enough for me to get my shorts in a knot over.
I am wrecking my brain to figure out what in the world BFD means? I have twisted this word around and still cannot figure it out. Can someone please help me out? I am not trying to drag this out, only trying to understand. That's all. Thanks.
I remember that company! The owner died and shoppers got screwed. Not only were they not paid fees owed, but reimbursements as well.

This morning, I completed my first assignment for Mintel; it was an online credit score verification. This thread suggests an invoice needed to be provided by me. Is that correct?
You do need to turn in an invoice. Click on the jobs and the invoice job will be in red.
Yep she is, its the 14th and she has yet to place my monthly assignments on my board, plus she did not approve my 1 invoice so it is going to be 6 weeks before I am reimbursed for my P.O. Box rental. Thankfully I have shop reserves to cover the credit card payment, or she would be costing my excellent credit score and me interest on that payment.

Unfortunately, she seems to be getting worse. Time is money and she is costing more time.

Anna moved from Chicago to MN (?) and back to Chicago this year as their regular office was closed. I'm sure she's had a few challenges.

I have not received any post office box assignments this week. Very strange. I don't think I am a week off. This should be week C. Anybody got any?
