IPSOS Hold Pay?

Anyone have experience with this? I work a ton for them and a recent shop... well, I was supposed to reveal and the person I was talking to was at a total loss and claimed they couldn't help me. I noted this in the report, but I didn't do anything wrong here. I've never had this happen.

A gas station? I had many denials, always got paid. Usually it is a new employee, or if it is late in the vening or on weekend and they do not want to call their supervisor.

If you haven't been contacted directly about this, it may just mean they are going to research it. If this was a gas station, you do have to be prepared for this kind of response. Make sure they read the authorization letter, and explain the process to them, including that it happens xx amount times a year (depending on shop). Insist that they call their manager. If they ask you to leave, then of course, leave. But if they are just responding that they can't help you, then calmly ask them to call their boss.

This situation is going to happen from time to time if you do a lot of gas stations, it can be frustrating, but only once did I have someone so stubborn and clueless that they ended up refusing. Then, just leave.
FWIW, I did find the right person to talk to and it was resolved quickly and I will be paid. I really enjoy working with IPSOS.
Glad it worked out for you in the end.
Didn't realize there were reveal bank shops mixed in there, I'll need to look closer at the different types!
Welcome to the psychotic world of "slightly different than a normal shop" that exists at IPSOS.
Speaking of Ipsos, and I know this is off-topic but how often do they pay? There's a pinned thread but I'm not sure if the info is up-to-date. Thanks in advance.
Ipsos pays weekly, generally. For shops completed and reviewed by Friday you are paid the following Tuesday via Paypal.
Is there any way to delete the "Hold Pay " shops.? I know I was not paid for them and do not expect to be paid but I would love to get them off the board.
I remind them a zero hurts their branding with the oil company. I then ask again for them to call the owner.

How many days does it take usually for the editor to pick up the shop you completed and review your shop? Mine has been sitting in a 'completed' status for 5 days.

I have quite a few sitting too. I suspect they may be a little behind because of the holiday, because usually they are pretty quick getting them reviewed.
Rant on: Did a Stagecoach Bank account opening shop for IPSOS. The shopper is supposed to make an appt. online, but the website OFTEN does not allow this (and refers one to another branch!) The lobby is closed to walk-ins. I did kind of force the issue and walk in this branch and managed to get an appt. with a banker, via a teller, because the banker was not there....then, on the appointed day and time, the banker no-showed. I write all of this up, in excruciating detail. The shop is placed in purgatory for three weeks and end up with the dreaded "Hold Pay" tag No email, no text, no phone call, nada, zip zilch crickets. No answer to several emails. I am done with the Stagecoach Bank and IPSOS...it is NOT worth the hassle. End of rant.

Lately I have had problems with the infamous "hold pay"....and on the mailing shops at that. #1 shop was a hazmat, and the agent did agree to send; the kicker was they wanted $30 to send it priorty mail.
The guidelines say to send it if they agree, but the Assignment Sheet with the details that accompanies the shop report form states you will be reimbursed up to $17. Now that is a pretty significant difference. I declined to mail, and told her I would think about it and bought a card (no stamps). I have had a couple of similar unusual circumstances over the past couple of years, and was not about to blow $30 on postage and the shop fee of$12. I emailed the scheduler, explained what happened and why. I was told i should have mailed it and would have been reimbursed. Really? Even with a document that states I won't? One of the schedulers I work with on these shops is a champ, and works with me on everything, but not this one; the last time i asked for help she told me to take care of it myself. So, i have the evil hold pay on the shop, have spent enough time trying to fail to collect, and guess I found the sounding board I needed. Let me know if you would have handled this differently.
IPSOS does cover whatever it costs to ship a package when doing an APS shop. Their rates are outrageous but you do have to send the package.
Thanks for letting me know...I assume this is from your experience in the past. But then why do they have a document that states you will get up to $17 reimbursed, which is why there was confusion, and do not acknowledge that it exists?
I believe that I have read that if you exceed the stated amount, to let your scheduler know and you will be reimbursed. I have gone over the reimbursement too. I let my scheduler know and I was reimbursed for the full cost.
I have only done a few hazmat shops over the years. I have always been fully reimbursed the shipping cost if allowed. Just let your scheduler know.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
I had my first Hold Pay with no communication whatsoever...after three weeks I asked what the problem was and they said I used duct tape on a shipping shop. I did not and finally got it paid but they never even got back to me with why they weren't paying. This is the first time they haven't even told me, just tried to withhold payment. Not fun.
Let me update my original hold pay...got another one for using a recycled shipping box (from hazmat shop mentioned originally in this post).....I give! I explained this when sent an inquiry, and asked for a copy of the report they said I used it on....never received. AND, I also took a photo of two nearly identical boxes shipped the same day, only to have them reject it because i used the same box. But in fact, I did not; I had put a small number on the return address label so they could be differentiated. I am like, really? You know, I never have gotten a response to my original complaint from the company, and these latest fiascos are only proving a point to me that you can not depend on help from all schedulers and the outsourcing editing company does NOT listen or look at your response. My days of box shops is coming to an end.
When I am shipping multiple packages on the same day for different shops, I place a different colored towel under each package. I think this explains whey I've never been questioned about re-using a box.
