Market Force Pay

My direct deposit was put through twice. Has this happened to anyone else?

DIRECT DEPOSITS FOR MAY SHOPS = PLEASE READ!!

Hi, our banking institution mistakenly paid all direct deposit shoppers TWICE. Please note the second payment will be promptly removed from your account. We appreciate your patience while this gets rectified.
I saw it on my bank page looking to see if my PUA went in. I knew immediately that the second one would get reversed not to touch it. That was before I read that curt little remark they posted on their website. They really should use more diplomacy and stop being so distant. They are a good company who always pays but I honestly think they should post more on their page nice remarks, just to connect with shoppers.
Me too. I really wonder if this was the mistake of their "banking institution" or their own employee in accounting. Either way, we will never know.
Sure did. Thought it was a bank error and I was going to call the bank. Then I checked on this forum as the wait was too long to talk with the bank. I guess now we contact MFI to ask about the double payment?
Their website says

No need to contact MF. As posted above, they already know about it and will soon chargeback the second payment.
How diplomatic would you be if your payroll was doubled unexpectedly. I personally was impressed at how quickly they addressed it. I sent them an email early in the morning and they responded a few hours later. It was the same response that was posted above.

I wrote the helpdesk before I checked the Forum this morning. I immediately (gosh -- way faster than any shop inquiries have been answered, LOL) got a reply thanking me for my honesty!!!

Still giggling....
banking error? I know what happened. Whoever ran the batch, ran it twice! it was human error plain and simple. And diplomacy is common decency. They don't post for months on end. They never just post a nice greeting. I'm perfectly entitled to my opinion. I've worked as a scanning coordinator and in the proof office at the bank. This isn't my first rodeo!
They got their money back. The reversal showed in my account this morning.

Geez, people complain about everything. I's a whole lot rather they accidentally double paid me (with the understanding it will be reversed) than not get paid or get paid late.
I truly hope you are more objective in your reports.

... Wondering if you ever made a mistake...
I am just happy to receive my money. Their mistake didn't harm me one bit. Easy in, easy out.

Ugh. "Accounting has to research this. Please send routing #, account #.

What? They have all that info already -- rotflmfao -- they couldn't have made the initial deposit without it.
