Franchise Compliance

I did a job for Franchise Compliance in March and just finally got paid at the end of July. I had to call the scheduler several times to finally get some action. When I get an Email form Franchise Compliance, I send it straight to trash.

reading this....new to the forum...just had an email offering for this yesterday. Didn't accept it.
I had the same problem with this company. Posted a shop and pay then tried to pay me half the amount when I had an email clearly stated the requirements of the shop. I had it completed 100% and even went an extra mile for them. The scheduler was rude and I filed a complaint wwith the BBB. I did get in touch with the Owner. In fact he called me. I finally got paid.
I agree with everyone here---STAY AWAY FROM FRANCHISE! I posted elsewhere on these guys, but I did a shop and still havent been paid. I did file with the BBB and hopefully that will bring resolve. Its made me leary of doing any mystery shops, even though this is the only company I have had trouble getting paid from!
They have not paid for me many shops either sad smiley going on over a year already. I guess I have to go to BBB as well!
I had this same problem but with another company. Me and other fellow shoppers who were not getting paid for a shop we had done filed with the BBB but with not luck. Finally we all called the client and got paid. Dont be afraid to call the client. They should take care of this matter for you if they are a well known company.
I would file a complaint with the attorney general in that state. The BBB is nothing but a club of the month for businesses. They literally pay for their grade.
Sorry to hear about the fraud and scam this firm is perpetrating. I got screwed on a "N-Hance" shop for $20. The N-Hance rep came to my home to give a quote on refinishing floors and cabinets. This was on Sept. 12, 2011. I've not been paid but yet the shoppers site shows "pending" and a shoppers grade of "10". I sent a few emails to the scheduler and never got a response back! I decided to do my own investigation and so please read and enjoy the fruits of my time and findings!

Franchise Compliance has a corporate license with the Utah Department of Commerce. It has not been renewed in over 18 months! They are thus doing business at least in Utah illegally! The registered agent for the firm is: Adam Valdez with an address listed on record as: 487 E. 520 S. Smithfield, Utah 84335. No phone# was given and numerous reverse address searches brought 0 results. Once I found this out and also about others being screwed I emailed the scheduler with the information. I stated that if he was not privy to what was happening then my email now made it known to him that the firm he schedules for is: illegal, a fraud and a scammer. Of course, no response from the scheduler was ever sent back to me. The scheduler goes by: rsilvestri on the emails!!

I did never perform a carpet cleaning shop cause I was not at all comfortable about dishing out $125 for a unknown firm. I suggest if you have been screwed on carpet shops that you contact the carpet cleaning firms headquarters and talk with the person in charge of assigning mystery shopping and give them both your story and my information above. I did contact "N-Hance" about my situation and the person stated that they would pass the information on to the person responsible for contracting mystery shopping firms. I did this on 01/27/2012.

I plan on filing a formal complaint with the Utah Department of Commerce on 01/30/2012.

Please get this out on Twitter, Facebook and other social sites about this scam outfit so other mystery shoppers are not unknowingly scammed of their time and money!
Sorry you found out about Franchise Compliance so late, Brian. They have been a problem for several years and if you read through the forum, folks have been advised for a very long time to work with them at your own risk.

Make sure you aren't working for Restaurant Evaluators either!
I have trouble understanding how the clients can continue to work with Franchise Compliance given the way they are treating their ICs... I mean, pleading ignorance is not really acceptable because all it takes is a 3 sec google to search to track the quality of the work they are providing.
I would imagine that if there is a conversation between the company and the client it goes something like: "Oh, those people are just whiners! There will always be those out to discredit us and besides we have no such shoppers on our books and they screwed up the job anyway so we couldn't accept the report! Pay no attention to them, they are just troublemakers!"

I actually LOLd hard at your response.
As much as we would like to think that the client should "do the right thing" the bottom line is they contracted with FC and paid for reports. If FC is supplying them most companies are not going to get into FC's business practices and whether or not their vendors are paid. A shopper really has no proof they can supply the client that FC cannot discredit.

While I understand the frustration, it still might be prudent to keep the comments to FC and not start violating ICAs by talking about the clients by name and, in some cases, impugning the client's reputation.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.
