Alta 360 Payroll

Don't get me wrong I like Alta and I'm not going to stop working for them. But here it is the 31st and we don't have our money from September yet. I know it will probably come in tomorrow, but who agrees with me "Alta 360 you can do better"!! Pay us the Friday before or the week before etc,

There was a while there when every payday we had to send an enquiry to the paymaster to get paid. It always showed up within 48 hours of filing the enquiry. I haven't worked for Alta in awhile... not for lack of trying, just nothing that pays well enough until I'm busy with much better paying jobs at the end of the month.
When the last day of the month falls on a weekend, Alta 360 always pays on the first business day following. I have never, ever see them pay late (and I don't consider paying on the first business day late).
I don't consider it late, but feel that typical protocol when the last calendar day falls on a weekend is to pay on the Friday before. As long as it comes today I'm happy.
I'm not saying it's technically late. Although, it is 11:30 am and a payment has come in from Presto and they actually pay tomorrow. Alta's money has not come in. What I said is they can do better than making us wait over a month for our payments. They are a well-established company that has been around for years. I work for Trendsource, IPSOS, MarketForce, Alta, and Customer Impact on a regular basis. Occasionally, I do jobs for other companies. A lot of companies have improved their payroll since I started doing this several years ago. I think that since they have been established for so long and they have such a strong contract for gas stations that they can do better. A week better. I think when they were direct deposit we actually did get our money a little bit earlier. But with PayPal, we never get our money earlier. I like Alta. I like their people. I like the work. But as someone on a fixed income struggling to pay bills I think they could do better than 30 days plus. This is just my opinion. MarketForce and Customer Impact both pay the following month as well. But normally I have their money by the 25th or the 28th. Both of those MSPs have paid me for September's work already. But I'm still waiting for Alta's.

Alta only has those gas stations because they bid absolute bottom of the barrel for the contract. They are in hot water with the client because they didn’t make deadline for their projects. When deadlines aren’t reached, clients don’t pay in a timely manner, and it trickles down to the ICs. I’d be careful about extending myself for Alta, going forward. Just food for thought.
They stiffed me on some reimbursement promised for travel to a faraway location...ended up offering exactly half the amount previously offered...Alta 360 (formerly Goodwin?) is on the10 foot pole list now.

Wow, this just took a weird turn.

Someone with a bit of inside information warned me, long ago, about a teetering MSC - and I ended up declining a big route. The MSC went under. If I had done the route, I would have lost a big chunk of my budget.

I read your comments about being on a fixed income, and thought I’d return that favor from years ago. That’s all. No big deal.

Alta 360 was formerly known as Ritter and Associates.
Goodwin and Associates changed their name to 360 Intel.

Although Alta has gotten extremely cheap over the years on pay rate they have always paid on time per their stated terms. I don't do much anymore but at one time had a nice out of town guaranteed monthly route.

Goodwin now 360 Intel has been hit and miss on pay rate for projects. At one time they did have payment issues. I have been payed for all work completed for them maybe a little late a few times. I have not done work for them in years.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
Interesting read here. Fortunately, I've only really lost money once from a MSC going under...and that was NSS several years ago. I've always enjoyed working with Alta. I will continue to do so but this has my attention.
I think it's a "rumor". I don't think they are in trouble. I don't see the warning signs with this company. I'm more worried about MF than Alta. I see signs with that company.
@F and L TeleComm what signs do you see with MF?

Losing a lot of contracts, cell phone company shops (multiple) , tax audits, some fast food contracts. Now their grocery store is MIA. The car wash shop? All I've seen lately is their food shops fast food, fast casual, and one retail. Maybe their other portal is doing better than the blue. I've never registered with the other portal.
No Problems with Alta 360. My 3000.00 from September showed on 11-1 as advertised.

The schedulers are not as friendly as they use to be. Don't want to shell out for those hard-to-reach places. They keep adding requirements to their gas stations without the extra compensation. I'm not pleased at all with this being paid via PayPal. A direct deposit was faster, safer, and more secure.
Thanks Buffalo....It definitely was Alta 360 that chiseled me on the travel pay....essentially they only paid for half of the travel cost, as submitted on receipts (tolls, etc.)....Not huge, but not worth the headache, either.
