Bares new payment company took a large service fee.

I’m shocked that I just received $16.60 for a $20 assignment. I don’t understand as all other companies pay exactly what the assignment offers through PayPal. Why would Bare hire a company that charges the shopper a service fee.

Really? This is new. I've never gotten less than what I was owed through Tipalti. I only did one job for BARE in December and haven't been paid yet so will be anxious to see. Would be a shame if I have to cut them off because I have always liked working with BARE. But if Tipalti is skimming 17%, bye bye BARE.

Apparently this company Tipalti charges a fee for PayPal , direct deposit is free. I will be changing my option.
I only did one job for Bare last month, I was paid the full $25, no deductions, no fees. I chose for Tipalti to make direct deposits to my checking account because all of the other options cost money, and it said as much in the payment options choices.

I NEVER choose to pay money if I can avoid it. I do bill pay through my bank because it's free, and even writing a check to pay my electricity bill here forces me to pay an additional fee. The only way to pay my electricity bill in this backward, rotten little town is with cash or with bill pay through my bank. Apparently the local electric company is afraid of trying to charge Wells Fargo fees to accept their cashiers checks. lol

Its likely that WF pays the utility electronically. It is also quite possible that the utility banks with WF, so it has the $$ instantaneously.

I believe, if that were the case, that they also would not charge me an additional fee for paying with a check. Because a check from me would be from WF too. And according to WF they send checks, they don't do electronic transfers. They also sent a warning to pay your bills early because of the delays with the post office because of Mr. DeJoy.

It takes time - and thus money - to prepare checks for deposit and to present them to the bank. There is also a risk that they might bounce. That said, it is certainly true that many companies today just like to screw customers.

I have reported Mr. DeJoy to the Postal Inspectors multiple times. To my knowledge, they still have not begun a formal criminal investigation into him.
Walmart doesn't charge a fee for paying utility bills. And you can pay with a debit card, cash, or check.

Just sayin'.
