Anyone still doing shops for Cirrus Marketing?

I see their shops now listed in iSecertShop. Doesn't look like anyone is picking them up. The last I heard they were very slow to pay, taking 6 months to a year. Is that still true?

I don't do anything for Cirrus anymore. I was doing apartment calls and they had me log in under a different user name and password to fill in the report. The reports weren't under my log in.

I thought that was really fishy. I never got paid for about five of those. After that I stopped even looking for shops from them.
It takes 3 months to get paid for each shop. I very rarely do any shops for them because of this reason. I just do one, once in a blue moon.
I stopped doing shops for them because I had to chase payment. That doesn't sit well with me.

Not me. They do bonus nicely on some of their apartment and storage shops. I get tempted every now and then because if that, but the process of constantly having to "over" nag to get paid is far too frustrating for me. They don't pay for 90-days to begin with. But .... if their clients late pays to them, the shoppers pay is delayed even further. Depending on when their client pays and depending where it aligns to their pay schedule, you could easily be waiting another 30-60 days beyond the 90-days to get paid.

They rely on always being able to find another sucker to do their jobs. They will pay the newcomers according to terms for a while before shafting them. Sadly, there is always a supply of suckers in this industry.
Haven't shopped for them since the Swedish furniture store company years ago. Way too much of a hassle with payment. And the nightmare shop ^^^

This is why I popped this open. I just did one for them yesterday. How long can I plan to play sucker, before payment issues start showing? Even if it's just this month's storage audits, what they're offering would prevent my car payment from ever going into repo status again.
When I was doing shops for them, pay terms were 90-days. That is when I started nagging. Make sure you submit a invoice. They are one of the few that do not automatically. It is important because it can drag your payment out even longer. Stay firm and do not feed into the bull Monti will feed you. Follow-up with a email every week post 90-days (or sooner if they have improved their pay terms, but doubtful).

Immediately.
I stopped shopping for CIRRUS. They are literally THEE worst company to do business with. You have to spend more time fighting for payment than its worth. They need to be bought out by a more reputible company.
I had problems with them paying in the past. I liked doing the self-storage audits. Picked up one and did it. Cannot access the report, got a snarky reply and a code that did not work. I'm considering dropping them. Might be worth sacrificing the fee.

The problem I had was that I was still using their SASSIE site and applying for all of these shops. They never awarded them or deleted my application... Why would they still have that active and be on ISS as well? Anyway, just knocked one off the other day for them. We'll see what happens.

Just be cool folks.
I'll shop for them when I'm in rotation and don't need money yesterday.

Payment used to be a little over 3 months, with some chasing.

Now they are consistently inside 3 months. I'm ok with it because I like having receivables out there.

I've developed a nice relationship with the owner and a main account manager which has lead to some lucrative, off-SASSIE assignments.
Unable to access the report, and its 2 days after. So I emailed the account manager and said I would be unable to enter the report. I've spent 3 or more hours trying to just enter the data. From their training materials, it was supposed to be ez-pz to get the url to show up on the Sassie space, but not happening.

I did an apartment shop for them in January and they paid me in May. Then I saw that the same shop is paying a huge bonus, essentially doubling the pay - but I'm not eligible for it because I've already done it this year. Lucky me!
This is one of two companies that has not paid me. I did a Swedish furniture shop. It was accepted and never paid. The other was for Gyu Kaku for the woman who went out of business and just did not pay anyone.
I don't think I've ever been more grateful for this forum. I was eyeing the apartment shops on ISS because I like visiting the properties. Then I realized the company was one I've never worked with and came here first.

I'll pass. I'm not waiting 3 months to begin chasing down $35.
I am also not a fan of having to submit an invoice to them for work performed. The other MSCs I do work for don't require this. You submit the work in the app or from your desktop and once it is approved you get paid on the cycle. I got paid today for a job I did for another MSC yesterday. The other problem I have with them is their reports can't be done via your phone so extra time is spent doing it at home.

I don't understand why one has to wait up to 50 days, if they are paying on time, with some of these MSCs to get paid. I did a shop for another company on the first day of the month and didn't get paid until the 20th of the following month.

Cirrus had an easy assignment earlier in the week and I was tempted to grab it, but thought the better of it. The submission of a report online back home just seems to add to the time invested in the job and the invoice, although easy to fill out, is another time waster. When you add the drive to the site, the time performing the job, report, and submitting the invoice, the hourly rate just goes down. Add on top of all of this, you might have to chase them to get your fee 2 or 3 months later, come on man. They should make the whole process easier, not harder.
I wish I had pulled this company up before. I just did one shop recently and thank god for this thread. I had no idea an invoice had to be submitted. I missed that part. I will not work with them again as now I know why I did not get paid on a prior shop with them. Nice way to screw over the shopper for an honest mistake.

Never to defend Cirrus, but several companies operate on multiple platforms - Confero, IPSOS, Jancyn, and Mintel among them. And that's not counting Gigspot, Presto, & the like.
I started working for them in April 2022, and understood that April invoices world be paid in June. However, it is now September, and still nothing. I’m owed approximately $600 through August. I do not advise this company.
Saw another email from them with the familiar title Storage Audit Bonus Must Train within 48 Hours and the due date is today! Last month they were paying $85 and $95 for these and now it is $75.

The day and time restrictions with this work makes it an unattractive assignment and this isn't even factoring in the slow payment history. They require that you conduct it Mon-Fri and arrive 10-2. There is a minimum site stay time depending on the number of units that will probably run 2 - 3 hours The report can take another 3 hours and this does not count the downtime wait: you have to contact them and wait to hear back to get a login code to gain access to the reporting website.

With MSCs in general, I wonder if they could get more shoppers to bite on jobs sooner if they offered to pay bonuses on an accelerated schedule, like 5 days, and the base pay on the regular pay cycle.
Angela, This company is the only one where you have to manually send in an invoice. Without it, they will not pay you. For the last shop that I did for them, I sent in an invoice using PayPal invoicing. I sent it every day until they paid me.
Mintel has another shopper portal?? I only know of the one... care to share the other one, please. Thank you!
I have invoiced them monthly using their own invoices. I guess I will resubmit via PayPal. It’s despicable that this is necessary.
I did one of the weird apartment ones where you do a shared login and group report. I never wound up getting paid and it was $5 so I didn't bother chasing it. It was odd. Otherwise they don't have much else for me.
