Scheduler with JMridgeway

I have probably done hundreds of shops for many different companies and dealt with many different schedulers. This guy’s emails are so rude. It’s completely unnecessary Does anyone know who I can contact about this?

he's either having a hard time in his life, or he may not get paid enough so he's grumpy but he still has to work to make ends meet. Regardless, I personally wouldn't bother
Are you talking about Frank, the owner? There are tons of threads about this company on this forum. If you are looking for names and/or emails, this thread has some: [www.mysteryshopforum.com]

I've had similar experiences and don't shop for J M Ridgway now - They are rude and condescending over email and you can tell they do not give a care in the world about you. Steer clear of this company.
Weird company, weird owner, weird schedulers.

Unpleasant group all around. Would not recommend.
I think in 20 years, I have done 3 shops for them (that I can remember). I was always paid and never had a problem. I'm not saying they don't have problems. They just don't have much stuff in my area so I rarely see any shop offers from them or on the job board. Maybe IPSOS can take over them too :-)
In my market they frequently offer fees and reimbursements that surpass what any other MSC offers for shopping a similar merchant. Payment comes right on time. If the trade off is fewer pleasantries that’s fine with me.
I remember about a decade ago they used to have a lot of serious problems -- people weren't being paid for months, overall nastiness, shops cancelled without notice, I think they might have been on the verge of going out of business. I avoided them like the plague. Suddenly the owner stepped up, cleaned up their act, and did a complete 180 degree turnaround. I put a toe in the water to try shopping with them. They had some great shops that paid really well (and on time). When I moved, they didn't have as many shops in my new city, but if they did I'd sign up for them.

As for weirdness and nastiness: I suspect this is said about all MS companies, large and small, at one time or another. Frank can be abrupt and to the point, but that just makes him human.
I've done a few here and there, and never had any problem.

They claim to be the first mystery shopping company ever...

Anytime you deviate from the original date and asked to reschedule, the scheduler will either change your date without letting you know by email, or email you with a nasty comment. One time I did a dine-in instead of a drive-thru and asked for an extension to the next day, the scheduler asked, "Why don't you read the instructions?" Bunch of losers.
