Ipsos and gas station convenience store reimbursement

Ipsos clearly dominates this market. One of their clients' formats allows for a $10.00 reimbursement (total) but all of the others set the requirement at either $1.00 or $2.00 (yellow stations) for the convenience store purchase. Does anyone here know how to convince Ipsos to pay more than the $1.00, when nothing is available for that price or lower, or when a store has a minimum charge requirement?

i think it's at the point where they need to go to $1.50. many places you can find .25 or .35 cent lollipops, they also have the lindt truffles on counter for .59, or .69 cents, and of course there's the trusty .69 cent peanuts... not all locations have these items though. the drop to $2 gas is much more annoying.
A Tootsie Pop sucker is over $1 at some places. Some chains do not have ANYTHING cheap, unfortunately. No cheap peanuts, crackers, etc.
Well the minimum charge requirement is moot since the convenience store purchase is done with cash. But I'm ticked every time I do one - absolutely nothing under $1.49. I add this frequently to the notes box on the form.

Shopping domestic and international locations since 2003.
They could always just eliminate reimbursements altogether but still require us to make purchases. That seems to be the direction they're going in. I would not be surprised at all. Somebody will still do the jobs, in my area anyway.
Could be wrong, but I'm guessing it's the client that sets the reimbursements and not IPSOS.

Let's hope the one with the $10 blanket reimbursement doesn't change for the worse. They have become my preferred gas station shops.

That I'm only seeing a couple of remote jobs for them when doing a very large search radius is cause for concern. Hopefully it's a quarterly thing and there will be a bunch of locations available come October. I'm hoping to do a big loop over fall break from school, and will gladly snag any locations that are within range.

Have synthesizers, will travel...
No. The clients do not set the reimbursements. In each brand's guidelines it specifically states, "(MSC name) reimburses (dollar amount)."

The MSC clearly and boldly takes responsibility for setting and controlling reimbursement amounts. Can't blame the end clients.

With all due respect, I disagree with your assessment. All that may mean is that MSC reimburses on the client's behalf. I personally believe that this is the client's decision. Clients want to give away as little free product as possible. The yellow guys are likely more willing to give product away, given the higher fuel and product reimbursement in comparison to other guys.

I do agree thoroughly with the OP, though.

be careful of what you wish for, they could increase the reimbursement from 1 to 1.5.....by lowering your paid from 14 to 13.5.....they did that with sonic already
