HS Brands stinks at payments !!!

If they say they pay eight weeks after approval of the shop, and they pay you eight weeks after the shop, where's the problem?

You accepted the shop under the terms outlined in their agreement.

If you don't like their terms, don't do their shops.

Not sure where the 8 weeks is stated. On the Confirmation Page for their gas station shops it says "Payment will be made within 50 Days." Thats 7 weeks, and while still way longer than the other MSCs, they aren't even coming close to paying at 50 Days. They are averaging 70 days in my experience, and thats only after they have been contacted and asked to pay. No response, but a few days later payment will show up.

Why do we keep defending this?
Here is what it states on their website, when you log in !!!
********************************************************************************************************************************
All payments will be made between 35-60 days from the date the shop is finalized.
Please make sure the PayPal option is selected in the Payment Information section of your profile to ensure prompt payment.

STOP DEFENDING THEM !!!
35 days is long enough !! Today for me, is DAY 56
How and why is it taking this long ?? This is the point !!
My credit card bill has come and gone ! My next one is
around the corner !

So, until you hit day 60, you are in the wrong here.

I am glad when an MSP shows me grace. Hopefully, you will get paid by Friday. Until then, I would not get worked up about it. If you can't afford to wait, find another company to work for.

Really ???? No one cares about the 35 days !?!?
Pay, 35 to 60 days
With a 25 day window of "we will pay you eventually"
Also, read other posts !!! The last 2 times I rec'd payments
was in 30 days !! I also stated, I did not need IC preachers !!
This is one of many companies I do work for. I did a bunch,
because of being paid twice in 30 days !! READ, you damn sheep !!

I simply read the reimbursement schedule and agreed to it. If you can't wait for a couple hundred dollars, HS Brands payment schedule is not your biggest problem is it?

I do not care what you or bay22 think.
I have rec'd 12 DM's, that are agreeing with me.
Who are you to judge me ?
I guess you are never in any business that invoices are N+90 or N+120 huh?

you think N+35 is long enough? You have seen nothing LMAO

Alao, day 56 is well within the range 35 - 60 that you have agreed to, so stop whining.

Why would I be sitting at 5 guys??
Haven't done one of those in years.

Just because everyone is doing (or saying) it doesn't make it right. Your name calling was out of line.

You're the one upset about not being paid (in your opinion) quickly enough... personally I'm not worried about how fast I'm paid, just that I actually get paid. I can easily cover expenses for months without issue.
you don't remember talking about sitting at 5 guys for 15 minutes ?
It was a joke... smiling smiley smiling smiley smiling smiley
Either way, I run a business and timely payments are essential.
I do not have a partner with a job (like you). Did that for 28 years.
As I stated in past posts, I was paid twice within 30 days from
this company. I have never waited this long in 15 years of this business !
Unless you count companies, that went out of business and owed me fees.
if you do business for 28 years and you still doing net 30 for all these years, it really speaks how small your so-call business is. Only small business use n30.

Net 60 is the norm for any mid to large size business. and n90 are usually offered to those reputable multi million businesses.

There's really nothing to brag about making payment in 30 day terms....I pay my credit card on time every 30 days for past 20 years too, doesn't make me a successful business man per say, especially not with how low of the EQ you showing in this post..

I work for a midmarket sized company, $500M in annual revenue, and we only offer N30. We do that because our underlying technology suppliers only offer N30. So i'm not positive your statement is consistent with how everyone operates. i've been in technology sales for 25 years (Working for some of the largest companies in the world along the way) and have never seen N90 offered to anyone. The government asks for N45, and large enterprise will ask for N60, but usually its N45 at best that is agreed to after several rounds of insisting on N30. Often times when extending terms beyond 30 days, there is a cost associated with doing so. Conversely, we'll offer a discount for customers who agree to Net15 terms.

My own company has really reigned this in over the past year as the cost of money has increased so dramatically, and so keeping your receivable at N30 is a high priority for just about every CFO. Lets remember that credit terms are essentially a loan, where someone else is using your money. No different for an IC than a large, medium or small company.

None other than forum member, the paternal Golden Bear, has himself opined I am a bit hard on MSCs and he is correct. Beginning with the closing days of Miles Standish & Evelyn to today, Service Sleuth has, as it applies to me, always been candid and maintained admirable standards. If, though, one is content with being an Ipsolite, "What's one shopper's meat, could easily be another's poison."

Just went to their Shopper Login Page. It states 35-60 days after the shop has been finalized. Which means from the time they accepted the shop.

Do not read so much, look about you and think of what you see there.

That only applies to NV shops. We get paid every two weeks there. smiling smiley
I have no complaint with the payment schedule for HSB. I understood it when I took the jobs. But on a recent one, when I contacted them and said that they were late, they replied that it was forty days (or however many it is, I don’t remember) from when the report is “finalized.” Now I always thought that meant the day it moved from “completed” to “received,” but I guess that isn’t true. My shop was marked “received” and the day they considered “finalized” was a week later.
If they would explain things like this, I would be fine with them.
This company is on my 10 ft pole list and do not work for them. One assignment wa enough to turn me off.
I really am disappointed in this MSC because they do all one particular type of client within 150 miles that I really would have liked to do at some point. The terms to apply for those jobs are having 8-10 shops minimum for them and completing multiple certifications. I inquired about the certifications and didn't even receive a response. They are the only MSC I ever got a request to update the shop I did, I usually receive a very positive review in addition to grades of 10. And what is incredibly annoying in their shops is you have to answer yes/no questions and also write a narration about said yes/no questions. But reading others' experience with not getting paid and gettting snarky responses, I guess I can look at it like I dodged a bullet.
