Anyone shopped for Coyle lately? Hotels?

It's been over a year and a half since I've been assigned a Coyle shop, despite having a 98% overall score with them. Is it still the same scheduler? Any insight is much appreciated.

Rotation?
A Coyle scheduler posted in the past that the hotel rotation requirements were extended as the hotel staff for some of the smaller, boutique properties remembered guests/shoppers for years.
I'm applying for new opportunities that I have not done before, so I don't think it's the rotation aspect.

I did a hotel shop for them in November, but it was scheduled in August (it got moved back by the client). It was the same scheduler that I've interacted with in the past for hotels, initials B.C. She's always been easy going and friendly, and I've reached out to her at times with questions about various topics and she's been responsive, even if just forwarding my questions to their other scheduler (generic scheduling email).
Ok, good to know. I know the scheduler you are referring to. I wonder if S.R. is still scheduling there as well...?

I’ve stopped doing hotel shops for Coyle because they no longer issue full reimbursement. Instead, the client issues a refund, which takes weeks (sometimes months) and multiple emails to Coyle accounting. I’m tired of begging to get reimbursed, so no more hotel shops for me.
Coyle no longer fully reimburses hotels? What? And WHY?
I just looked at two, as I'm in need of a 'date night' with my husband. Both show full reimbursement for the lowest priced room.

This is a technicality. The full cost of the room is still covered. Instead of getting a PayPal with the amount spent, the folio is reversed so the credit charges are refunded. This is not a new practice. In the last year I've had instances where I had to ask accounting and it took about six weeks, and I've also had instances where it was reversed within a day of shop approval.
Yes, the costs are fully covered, but in my experience, waiting for the folio to be reversed takes forever. With one client, I almost filed a credit card dispute because Coyle accounting kept promising a refund, and nothing was happening. It took weeks and many emails to finally get my money back. No more hotel shops for me.
I’ve got a100% after doing many various dining and bar shops but can never get scheduled for any hotel shops.
I love Coyle, but I hate that their system is so confusing. I have a great score, but I often get passed for certain shops. Then, I'll get one I didn't think I would. One time they waited over 8 weeks to assign a shop, so I pulled the application. Like I wish the system made sense and had consistency.
I’m doing the “fancy” chicken shop next week and have done hotels as well. It’s a pain in the u know what and also the new site they moved to last year isn’t great either.
They didn't move to a new website, shopmetrics 'remodeled'... all companies that use that platform are the same.

Truth be told I was one of the people who complained about the new site on here, but I've gotten used to it and the map feature is helpful for finding "day trip" shops.

Yes - this is an issue with Coyle and it seems like it’s happening more and more - long (months and months) to get the reversals happens more often than it used to. It doesn’t always happen - but it’s not unusual now in my experience to have to wait 4-6 months for thousands of dollars to be reversed or paid out.
Wow, really?! Months and months is certainly different from the last hotel shop I did for them. Costs were reversed within 30 days at most. That is disappointing to know that they've resorted to taking that long for a payback.

Been a looooong time for me.

Every now and then I consider something I find posted, but I think about the reporting and the potential aftermath and I lose interest pretty quickly.

I really hate that they don't provide at least a sample of available shops in their solicitation emails. It is so not worth my time to go into Shopmetrics only to find nothing of interest.

I do have a concert road trip in June and the closest Best Western (my brand of choice) is prohibitively expensive. If I do not rack up enough loyalty points for a couple of free nights (currently have enough for one), I might see if Coyle has a hotel in the area. The closest SQM location isn't close enough to the venue to make the half-price deal work.

Have synthesizers, will travel...
I've done a handful of hotels in the past six months with them. I agree the folio reversal was a pain in the butt every time. Each time I had to follow up multiple times. All was eventually reversed but lots of legwork on my end to make that happen.
The delayed reversal seems to be the new 'normal' with Coyle. Since May of last year I have had to follow up on every single hotel reversal, and most were in the 90 day realm...even with me pushing.

When it's a few hundred dollars, that's not as much much of an issue, but most of the hotels I do are thousands of dollars for the stay, and I have credit cards I specifically use for MS, so even if I felt like fronting money to avoid interest, I would end up with a basically unusable credit on that card when reversal finally came through.

The other new development I have seen increasing in the past few years is rescheduling dates. While this was a rare occurrence for the past 20 years or so, it's now commonplace. More than 50% of the hotels I have been assigned in the past year have had date changes thrown at me after everything was set, and in a few cases, I had to cancel the assignment because the new date ranges did not work with my schedule.
I have occasionally had credit balances. At least with Bank of America, they are quite willing to send me a check.

Shopping South Jersey, Southeast Pennsylvania, and Delaware above the canal since 2008
Yes, I have noticed the same thing as Steve - there has been an increased amount of rescheduling and even last minute cancelling. This is frustrating because I typically take hotel assignments for lifestyle enhancement - I certainly do not take it for the pay, which is not competitive in the slightest with other hotel evaluation programs. Therefore, if I have planned a trip around a Coyle assignment - I often have flights and other plans associated with it. Rescheduling creates a domino effect that often is in the thousands of dollars lost. The net of it is - I no longer shop with Coyle to the level that I used to - not by a long shot. I don't check the boards that often and I don't covet the assignments anymore. That's totally okay though - sometimes they do still have something come along that is worth the bad for the good. It's just a changing model. I do notice though that even their mid-range hotels seem to fly off the board, so I guess they are finding people who want to do the shops.
I’ve done less since they changed the sign up templates, but I did do a nice chicken location last month and always enjoy those. The hotels are a pain.

Sorry, missed this. Yes, S.R. still seems to be their primary scheduler for restaurant shops, as she is the one that always responds from the generic Coyle scheduler email when I have a question, request a date change, etc.

Regarding folio reimbursements/reversals, this is what I received from their accounting team after following up a month after my hotel shop last fall - "Domestic (within USA) hotel folio reversals typically take around four weeks following checkout, while international reversals can take four to six weeks due to international banking systems that take longer for processing. You can feel free to check in with us around four weeks after checkout if you do not see the refund on your statement."
Besides coyle, what are other hotel shop msc?
