Ya are making me hungry. May be I ought to go on my dime and eat again smiling smiley

If I am able to attend the training will they give me a sample report? I know each month the requirments change

You get a sample report. I'm using it now.

The training is very thorough and you will be given everything you need, and the there are reference documents on the website as well.
JAS, I get my bowl with rice, beans, fajitas and corn salsa. The more veggies, the better.

I never finish a restaurant meal. I eat 1/3 of the bowl there, 1/3 two days later, and finish it the day after that.

I always dip my bowl ingredients with the chips. Sometimes I get pinto beans in my bowl but lately I have been doing the fajita veggies. My favorite bowl is: chicken, brown rice, fajita vegetables, tomato salsa, sour cream, and cheese. I used to get lettuce but the flavor changed when they started washing it with that sterilizing solution. It's got a slight chemical taste now in my opinion, but so does the lettuce at other restaurants (if you taste restaurant lettuce elsewhere before adding dressing you will know what I mean).

Isaiah, I always get EXTRA sour cream and cheese in my bowl. Honny, if you get guacamole on the side, you are not going to be able to finish your bowl.

I like very little rice so my bowl isn't full to the rim. I too make it two meals. But don't ask for the lid when you are ordering or they might put the lid on it and ring it up as "to go" at the end.
Oh, and for the food questions at the top, you don't have to give a comment for every question if all of the food appearance questions were a yes, but put a few comments about the ingredients that were in your meal (The chicken looked moist and had a good char). I think they only require a comment for the chips and for the overall taste otherwise.
JAS, thanks for the tips!

One more question: I was assigned another shop (two total). Does the second one have to be completed this week, or can I do it any time this month?

"I told myself to quit you; but I don't listen to drunks." -Chris Stapleton
They would like you to do one per week at least, but really, you have up until the 25th to get them all done. They would just rather you not wait until the end of the month so that the editing staff isn't overloaded with deadline reports due.
Oh, okay, that makes sense. I'll accept the second one.

It may take days to get shop evaluation approval. That's normal

Shopping SoCal and Maui.
I did the shop today at lunch. There were a few screw ups on their end, but otherwise, it was pleasurable.

I started the report at about 2pm. I took my time, so it took 2 hours from start to finish. I was nowhere near as bad as I thought. After I submitted it, I saw a non-spell check typo. Hopefully, that was the only one.

I'll do the next one in a few weeks, and I may pick up an orphan.

When I was an editor for them, we were told to wait seven days before releasing the report to the client, but occasionally an editor will do it a day or two faster. Not supposed to do that, though.
JAS, how picky are the editors? Are they like Remington (never pleased) or Bare International (grateful you submitted the shop on time)?

I ate way too much today. I am stuffed more than a Chipotle Burrito, thanks to those chips.

They are a little picky about terminology but since they cut the narrative down to nothing it's pretty simple and you should have no problems. If they need any additional information you will hear back within five days or so. They start to edit it earlier than seven days but they hold it until then before releasing so that there is less chance the location will remember you as the shopper by anything you write, though now that we don't have the narrative anymore that's less likely to happen anyway. I don't do Remington because their shops in my area don't pay enough and I have only heard that they are super picky. You will not receive a grade from this MSC but they do have a little bit of internal notation in your file. You will be just fine.
Do you have Mozilla? I always use Mozilla to do my reports because it will underline any misspelled words in red so you can't make typos and miss it. Two hours is a long time but you will get it down to much less time soon enough. Also, I know you were multitasking with other emails and the forum at the same time, LOL. I do the same thing when I write my reports.

Thanks - that reasoning works for me as I often get the same store two-three months in a row. For a newbie though, the wait for feedback can create anxiety especially if multiple shops are involved. (A conscientious shopper doesn't want to make the same mistake in multiple reports.)

I almost always finish my meal in one sitting although lately I bring half of the chips home, not because I am too full but just trying to cut calories/fat. Not sure how some of you can make 2-3 meals out of one.!
Those of you reading these threads who eat the entire meal at once , you are not alone.
Thanks for the heads up on the editors! I will do my next shop after I hear back from this one.

I use Mozilla, but the type I made wasn't caught. I wrote "hips" instead of "chips. I was definitely multitasking.

The two hours was very leisurely!

In September, I decided to not eat when I wasn't hungry, no matter how good the food was. That didn't go over to well when I visited my parents.

I cut the calories, fat, salt, etc. by not eating the entire bowl, and eating a couple of the chips. I overdid it on the chips today though.

Oh HoneyB, I think it must have been a Freudian slip...when the chips slipped down from your lips to your hips.
They open up ours here a few years ago.One thing that I like about ours is that they serve Pib Extra. smiling smiley they did the last time I was there.

I usually get water or tea with my meal. Every once in a blue moon I will get a soda. I did have a Dp for lunch and I had Dp at the movies. At the movies They switch from Pib Extra to Dp sad smiley
LOLOL! Now, I don't feel too bad about the typo!

I did my shop at lunch today. Report took about 20 minutes, accounting for interruptions, saving, final proof. Easy peasy. But I don't expect feedback for at least three weeks, and if it comes sooner, that's fine.
Plus 30 minutes in restaurant so close to an hour total......

You will get feedback in about 7 days. It's never been longer than that for me.
It's usually three weeks for my feedback. That's what I'm expecting. It's rarely 7 days, only if I've done one toward the end of the month.

Yes, I was eating lunch for 30 minutes, which is about a normal lunch -- it took about TWENTY to report, not 50. I'm not complaining.

Why so disagreeable, folks? Happy New Year! grinning smiley
Some folks can't be happy unless they try to spread misery.

I absolutely love Chipotle, it's my favorite fast food place. I did the "training" years ago and then never got any follow up. A few years later I heard about another training. I was able to get in but it had to be rescheduled and then they filled up the new dates before I could grab a spot. Haven't heard anything else since sad smiley
I picked up an orphan shop! That make three food shops for this month. Wow.

Good for you! You're making a good start on these. I've heard that this month's scenario is not popular so there may be a bunch of orphans to grab. I personally like the scenario this month just fine. Works for my schedule!
