Chipotle Shops

Qdoba is good, but not as good as Chipotle but close. The queso is great too.

Honestly, I miss our Qdoba locations. They came to Houston just long enough for me to get 800 points of 1000 required for a free meal, then left town. Oddly enough, Chipotle took over one of the locations...

Hijacking my own thread: when I lived in Los Angeles, Jack In The Box (FF) had a commercial for a chipotle burger. Jack's face got twisted when he tried to pronounce "chipotle." That commercial goes through my mind when I read this thread.

Jack in the Box owns Qdoba, a Chipotle competitor. It's possible that had something to do with it.

I remember the commercial. They were advertising a burger with chipotle flavor (sauce) and jack couldn't pronounce it. Nothing to do with Qdoba.
Chipotle is a 30 minute visit. The Green Turtle is 40 minutes.

How long do ya'll stay inside the store? I think I stayed a little over 30 mins during my last visit. IIRC, we're supposed to stay for 40 mins, correct?

The good Dr's point was that Jack in the Box was making fun of Chipotle because they own Qdoba.

No. The commercial had nothing to do with Chipotle restaurant.

I do my shops on Sundays and I take the bowls in to work for lunch during the week. That being said, I do my reports on Sundays. I incorporate the editor's feedback from previous reports into the current one.

I am noticing that soon after I submit the report for that day, I get feedback for the previous week.

It would be nice if I could get the feedback on Saturday so I could use it for my Sunday report.

I ordered a single taco yesterday and I think it may have outted me as a shopper. I hope not, but I had 2, yes 2, table visits with someone asking me how my food was. I have been shopping Chipolte several years and never once before asked how I liked the food.

I expressed concern over this when the new purchase requirement was announced. I don't usually order tacos anyway, but I would never order a single taco even if I did, and this is why.

I appreciate what the MSC is doing trying to allow for the same "profit margin" but I view the meal as part of my pay as well, so it's a 16% pay cut either way.

How lenient are the schedulers with the due date of the 25th? My scheduler is Deanna, and the 26 would work out better for me to do the shop.

It hasn't been an issue for me in the past when I've had to go a day or two over. Some regions and schedulers might be stricter about it. I think the 25th due date is so they can find a replacement shopper in time for the end of the month if someone outright flakes.
Has anyone else had difficulties purchasing child chips? My last two location didn't want to sell them to me.
That's what I get since the new requirements came out. I ask for them even if I don't see them on the shelf. Explain how they didn't want to sell them to you?

I was told they only come in kids meal and that there isn't a separate way to ring them up.

I gave gotten the kids chips with no problem. They are rung up as a $1 side on the receipt.
my first location didn't give me a problem. The other location told me they don't sell kids chips outside of kids meals. The other said they don't sell kids chips.
Wow, I hope that went into your report!

Maybe they should have reevaluated when they changed the ordering options to a kids meal. I got all kids of flack for ordering a kids meal that did not require the upsell of cheese and sour cream. I really wish the editors would read the instructions as well. This may be my last go round with Chipotle.

Oh, by the way, if ever you get chips that are hard and crunchy instead of light and crisp (don't ever use "stale" in your report, they don't like that) or if the chips are soft and chewy (not cooked long enough), you can put them on a cookie sheet or toaster oven tray and bake them at around 200 for 10 minutes and they will crisp right up.

I used "stale" and didn't get any feedback to not use that word. Was it discussed in your training or ?
Today's interesting news for Chipotle shoppers...there was a Chop Shop, which is Chipotle's version of Asian food, right next door to one of the Chipotle's I shop at. I always wondered when and if they would start shopping Chop Shop but today when i passed by it was out of business and the sign on the door said something to the effect that there was no possibility it would relocate or ever open again anywhere. So I am thinking the Chop Shops are gone everywhere.
And a question...since we are allowed to order one taco with a child chips now does that mean the max tax reimbursement we can take from the flat payment would be for that minimal order? It seems to me that would be the case tax wise even if we choose to have a Burrito and big people chips. What do all you non professional tax people think?
Nilennovy, it wasn't discussed at my training, but I was an editor for the MSC for about a year. Chipotle makes chips fresh daily. They don't always make them properly and sometimes they aren't the right texture. Your editor probably just changed the word and didn't bother telling you. They have bigger chips to fry, LOL.
Sandy, I'm pretty sure whatever you consume individually you are evaluating and can deduct. If you choose to eat a larger meal you can deduct it.
Is there much narrative in a Chipotle survey? I have an invite to learn the material over the web, without going to a real meeting - place. Thanks to all! Signed, Night Owl at 12:02 am

There's a fair amount of narrative, but it's not as odious as it used to be (the report from the $27 days had a two paragraph "tell the story of your visit" narrative with specific requirements for each paragraph), this went away with the first fee reduction to $25.
Has anyone received their April shops?

"I told myself to quit you; but I don't listen to drunks." -Chris Stapleton
I know they come on the first of the month, but I thought they came by the time I woke up (early). When I didn't see the emails, or the shops on their website, I thought I had been weathermanned.

I saw the emails later. I accepted the three I was assigned, and picked up an orphan.

"I told myself to quit you; but I don't listen to drunks." -Chris Stapleton
After I picked up the orphan, I was assigned another shop making it 5 shops for April. I'm not sure how I will swing that since I do my shops on Sundays.

I guess I will have to treat myself to rofl tacos midweek!

"I told myself to quit you; but I don't listen to drunks." -Chris Stapleton
They are running a "contest" everyday this week for free chips and guacamole. Says you need to order an entree (such as an order of tacos) to redeem the free chips. I wonder if we can do it with one rofl taco.

I didn't see any advertisement for this
