Chipotle Shops

Oh, geez. Thanks for the info, SoCal. It's a royal pain to change my debit card.

Have you ever returned an item due to bad quality?

I returned something during a shop because it was not up to spec. The replacement item was bad as well. I reported everything. The feedback that I received stated to never return something because it would out me as a shopper.

People return items all the time, right?

People do return food items often. On a shop, it depends. Some MSCs/clients don't care, others want you to return items if something is wrong, others say DO NOT return items.

You should probably go to the Reference Notes and read the Shopper Guide. I have always believed for Chipotle shops, the MC/client do not want you to return any food items or make any complaints because the Shopper Guide says "Please try to be “invisible” during your visit. If something happens that you would normally complain to management about, please do not complain during a shop. Save these observations for your report. "
Yes, they do not want you to return anything on Chipotle shops, nor mention any problems to the manager or crew members. Once I found a few raw pieces of chicken in my bowl. As a customer I would've demanded my money back, but as a shopper I had to stay quiet and throw out a bowl that only had a few bites taken out of it (lost my appetite after that). It sucks,
Raw chicken? ew

That's immoral, though! Raw chicken is a huge health hazard and needs to be taken care of immediately!!

**I'm not saying you did anything wrong (although, I would have probably broken the mystery shopping rules to protect the greater good). But the client/mystery shopping company rules are wrong if they state you can't report raw meat. It's a tough call to make I'm sure. I would figure that Chipotle, the msc, and society would thank you for informing them and would be understanding and pay you anyways.

Chipotle. The details are on their site.

I don't use their facebook group.

Shop, you are thinking as a rational, kindhearted person.

I had food poisoning once (not on a shop), and calling the health department was the last thing on my mind.

I did five shops his month. I'm usually assigned 3 and I pick up a nearby orphan. Now, I'm concerned that I will get 2 shops in May because the orphan I picked up was one of my regulars.

Any thoughts?

I'm happy. I got four shops this month, one for every weekend.

Have a question ...... is it just the allergy question that triggers the paper tray that has each item in a little compartment or are all kids meals prepared like this? And is a soda included or not?

The paper tray comes with the Kids meal whether you have an allergy or not. You have your choice of a drink (boxed juice, etc) and you can get a cup for a fountain drink. The meal also includes a fruit or small chips. For shops the small chips covers the chip requirement. It's really not a bad deal but I wish the salsa was not counted as one of the three items you can get. I compare it to the salsa bar at many FF Mexican chans like El Pollo Loco or Baja Fresh where its free.

This is the third month in a row I have not been assigned any shops. Neither an email to the scheduler or a post to the Facebook group has been responded to.

Are you in a area that is competitive with many locations? Have you checked the orphan list? Maybe if you accept a hard to fill shop they will offer you shops next month.
I've indicated I can shop at all the stores in the metropolitan area (12). The only orphan shop that ever shows up is about four hours from my house....and I'm NOT that hard up.

Keep checking the orphan list. More shops might show up toward the end of the month.

They will get around to you sometime. The MSC and schedulers are very loyal to their shoppers, and once you have done a few shops, they will automatically assign you something every month. They'll eventually alternate between the 12 locations you selected. Sooner or later one of the regulars will decline a shop or will cancel and you'll get your chance. In my area, the scheduler is really on top of things, and, instead of putting a shop on the orphan list, she emails to see if a new shopper wants it or if one of her favorites wants an extra. That's how I got my first shop - it was one somebody declined and the scheduler emailed me.
Exactly what rofl taco said. I had my training in December. In January, I was assigned two shops, and I picked up an orphan. I did a fine job on the reports, and was assigned at least 3 shops each month since.

Rofl taco? That's almost as funny as BG using roffle woffle.

Okay, thanks. My lips wouldn't go that way.

btw, how's your hooker?

No hookers tonight. I'm in this tiny little town in upstate New York. I doubt there's even a hooker bar here.

I have been doing Chipotle shops for more than a year, and always received minimal feedback (sometimes none) on the reports.

On my shop tonight I was told the wait for fajita mix was 3-4 minutes...I ended up waiting 11 minutes. The cashier comped my whole meal smiling smiley
