Five Guys listens to us. They raised their reimbursement.

I've done almost 75 Five Guys shops (my poor heart). Not sure if there's a quota or not, but I'm milking it while I can!

Yeah, I've seen two posters in past threads say they've hit a quota and can no longer shop FG anymore. But, I wonder if it was explicitly told to them that it was a quota or if they just surmised that it was. Sometimes a MSC will prevent you from shopping a client due to other reasons.

I was removed from a restaurant once. They never told me why, but I remembered that my last report had a lot of hiccups. I never saw that shop again on the boards (and I know it's still shopped from others here talking about it), but I saw others for that same MSC.

Has anyone done over 100...200 FGs smiling smiley I hope their limit is like 1,000. haha

Taxes can vary quite a bit too. We are at about 8%. I believe some states are 0%. Too bad the reimbursement can’t reflect local conditions.

Actually, they do. I plugged in several areas across the US and did note some variance.

That being said, my cost just went up about $1.20 for what I order. From just over 12.60 to 13.80.

It's about the easiest shop there is. I'm glad to do it even if I only get reimbursement. I limit myself to 2 a month for health reasons.

If you haven't already, consider just sticking with Little Hamburger bowls with tons of veggies (~300 calories), half the fries (~250 calories) and a calorie-free drink such as tea. The calories add up and the macros are abysmal from a protein standpoint (~20 g for a little burger bowl with half the fries for 550 calories).

Very infrequently shopping the Greater Denver Area, Colorado Springs and in-between in Colorado these days.
It amazes me that people will spend so much on a fast-food meal. I've done Five Guys for assignments, but never, ever would I pay $12 for a hamburger, fries and a soft drink, especially at a fast-food place where I'm required to bus my own table and get my own refills. You can go to Red Robin and get a larger burger, unlimited fries and a soft drink for $10. I'm pretty frugal though.
The 5guys menu is a bit healthier than most FF places. The bun has simple ingredients and the beef isn't frozen. Surprisingly the price at one of the FG near me hasn't gone up in price like other ones a bit further away. I can get a large burger, little fries and a drink for a few pennies more than the reimbursement.

Don't forget FG's unlimited peanuts. smiling smiley
Best to send an email to the Helpdesk, the MSC will give more consideration about talking with the MSC if they hear from us.

I have a FG shop to do tomorrow and the scheduler wanted to know why I couldnt do it for $6 like everyone else. He told me that I was the highest paid FG shopper in the area because they always give me $18. Today my worth went up to to $20 but we settled for $19. I feel the food should never cost more than the shop fee.
How is it healthier? They both have cholesterol, salt and fat.

Their burgers are not frozen. The fries are cooked in peanut oil. Here's a fox news description of the bun: "If you notice something a little different about the buns at Five Guys than the ones at other burger chains, you’re right: They contain almost twice as many eggs as standard buns, and also leave out the chemicals and dough conditioners found in other buns. The only ingredients in the buns are flour, eggs, milk, sugar, water, salt, oil, yeast, and sesame seeds."

This is still a burger, so not like organic meat but I think overall it's still better than ones from most other FF places.
My son take me to 5 guys for the first time yesterday . I love the bugar but I told as we drive away it is too high to go there all the time , like a MCDonalds. NOt that I did go to MD all the time
The $1 mcd burgers and chicken burgers are sooo delicious but they contain many many chemicals.
I did a Five Guys yesterday not in my home state. The total for a Lil burger and Lil fries w/ drink was over $13. Way more than they charge at home where I can easily still stay under reimbursement. IMO, that is too much for a small burger and too many fries.

The Lilttle Burger is really not “little” in my view. It is actually exactly the same as the regular burger but you get one patty instead of two. The bun is the same size and you get all the toppings you want. I think calling it a Little Burger is just a way to prompt you to order the higher priced two patty burger.
I remember this from a Marketing class. Which would rather order from McD’s, a Quarter Pounder or a 4 oz burger? A lot goes into what they call things on the menu.
11.5% actually, making the total for a little burger, little fry, and fountain drink $13.24 with tax.

That's outrageous for a grilled cheese ! I can get the regular burger, little fries and drink for a few cents above reimbursement.

If you have not shopped them recently, then you may find that the price went up, thus the basis of this discussion.

That doesn't make them any 'healthier.' I measured out the weight on the 'little fries' I had on my last shop (yes, I count my calories), and discovered that the extra scoop of fries brings the total calories of the little fries up to around 600-700 calories ALONE depending on the scoops we're provided. Add to that, a plain burger with a single patty and a bun is already 450 calories by itself. Even drinking just a tea, water or other 0 calorie beverages (which isn't good for you as well aka aspertame), the meal is extremely excessive with again, an abysmal amount of protein for a 1,000+ calorie plus meal.

Hence, why the best way to eat at Five Guys is to go bunless and literally eat a 10th of the little fries with just an iced tea or water.

Very infrequently shopping the Greater Denver Area, Colorado Springs and in-between in Colorado these days.

For me, FG usually passes the post-fast food crash taste. I don't have the energy crash or that "gross feeling" afterwards. But, I also only take a few sips of the soda and throw it all away and I eat only about 5-10 fries and take the rest home for a separate meal. I ONLY eat the burger primarily.

I feel way better than when I do my Sonic shops or eat other fast food. Of course, I feel even better after a Chipotle veggie bowl! I have super-hero energy after those. smiling smiley

re: calories Not all calories are the same. Something with lots of calories could actually be healthy. I'm not saying FG is particularly healthy (I think it is relative to other fast food), but it does seem healthier than other ff, Tarantado. I usually load my burgers up with all the veggies. But, I also change it up occasionally, because I don't want to get spotted as a shopper. My veggie heavy burgers might stand out.

Does anyone get the post-ff crash with FG?
I did a shop a few days ago where the price was just a few cents above reimbursement for a regular burger, fries and drink.

Sure, almost all FF is not that healthy but when I look at the 5guys menu, it does appear to be a bit healthier than an equivalent MCD or BK burger.

The 5guys buns is simple ingredients and doesn't contain calcium proprionate or EDTA like the other chains buns. Even CFA buns have a bunch of chemicals but the 5G doesn't. So in that respect it's much healthier.

the buns also contain the dreaded soy. anyway, the location near me hasn't raised the prices again yet. little hamburger bowl costs me 10.78 yesterday. first time getting the bowl, as i usually opt for the lettuce wrap. think i'll get the bowl for now on, as i like how they put the condiments on the side as well as giving you a separate bag for the fries.
jay225 - the bowl is probably the better choice. I've thought about getting the hotdog myself but i think it contains nitrites and the assortment of miscellaneous ingredients that make up the meat.

actually, they use hebrew national, which is the healthiest dog you can get.
Thanks for pointing that out. I may give the hotdog a try one time for the shop, instead of the burger.

I just looked in my fridge and have the Wellshire Premium Hot Dogs. I thought they were the tastiest and best.
