Costco had plenty of rubbing alcohol a couple of days ago. Bought 12...yes, 12! (big ones too)

This morning I got an email regarding all the shops for one chain of coffee shops being cancelled. I did not have any scheduled myself. What else have you heard about being cancelled in the mystery shop world?

My doctor's office called to cancel my appointment for tomorrow for annual physical. Until further notice, they will not take new patients or do routine visits for existing patients in-office. They have long has an on-line portal where I can make an appointment for a visit with my doctor. They will also issue Rxs as needed based on on-line visits.

When I first try to sign on to the patient portal, they will get on the phone with me to make sure that I manage to connect correctly. While I think that I could manage that, I am glad that they are proactive in offering someone to do that, since I would hate for anyone to miss a needed consultation because of issues with connecting.

I am pleased and think that this medical practice (several docs, assistants and NPs) are doing the best to protect everyone as well as connecting patients with needed care and advice.

Also, all CVS pharmacies will deliver Rxs for free starting a couple of days ago. And Aetna will wave any co-pays for needed tests for Covid-19.

Airport shops have been cancelled by certain clients.

Panda Express at a university food court cancelled. Nearby Panda Express that is not in a university food court was not cancelled.
Sporting events and parking shops at special event lots... since the events themselves were cancelled.
Should we just stop working until we can conquer this disease? I think for the common good, yes

Happy Shopping to all.
MD Governor and Ohio Governor both closed all state schools today.

Our governor is preparing to announce the closure of all schools in my counter until April 24.... Things are very fluid for me right now - I don't know if I am supposed to report to work tomorrow. Yesterday, the clear message was, "no." An email from HR came out today saying, "Yes." An email from the union president came out shortly thereafter saying, "We have to talk about this."

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
Lots of touching skin and faces, lots of sniffing and potential sneezing, argh. I can see what cosmetics and fragrances are a no-go.
So, I have always been cautious and aware of my surroundings. I generally keep a credit card in my pocket and don't carry my purse in and out of stores as it is, and always keep my car door locked when sitting in parking lots. I don't wear my nice jewelry when shopping unless it's the type of shop that is more upscale and requires some role playing.

My husband just pointed out that with school closings, parents having to stay home with their children that are out of school, slowdowns of businesses such as restaurants, and with the many people who live paycheck to paycheck, it could be that some people become desperate and crime rates will go up in the next few months. Be careful out there.
I did a gas station shop today and the clerk offered me hand sanitizer after I pumped my gas. I declined since I washed my hands during the bathroom evaluation.

I am a Costco member so that automatically makes me a hoarder. Just two weeks ago I purchased the 87? equivalent roll pack of tp and also bought the 10 pack of large size tissue boxes. That was all before the hoarding started here and just because I was down to one or two rolls.

Lines at Costco and elsewhere? Make your own hand sanitizer...I found several recipes on line and am getting ready to make one....2/3 parts rubbing alcohol and 1/3 aloe vera gel. There are several other recipes and for those who are sitting around with a bottle of vodka (I know you are out there), they say that will work as well instead of the isopropyl alcohol. There is some controversy over what % of alcohol you use.

I have been a TP hoarder for decades. That hasn't changed. But I haven't bought any in over a month.
My thing is that I just buy a lot of it when it is on sale. I am probably good until June!

But you can go ahead and get started on that, I am interested in what you have to say about TP hoarding, LOL!

I had a Skechers shop cancelled today. I've been trying to snag one for about three months. Finally get one scheduled, and it gets cancelled. I'm not sure why this particular shop would be cancelled -- maybe they're worried about shoppers trying on shoes that others may have tried on?

I only needed socks. Sigh.

The TV just showed Kirkland, WA and how they are dealing with their high COVID-19 virus rate. Isn't Kirkland where most of Costco's products are shipped from? And the virus has a long life? Sometimes more than a week? It gives me a second thought about going to Costco until this virus epidemic passes, much less buying anything.

It also reminded me once while I was shopping, I observed a woman opened a cooler door, sneezed right into it. She did not even bother to close the door before sneezing or turn her head away from the cooler. Gross. What kind of people go to Costco!!

SeeLevel has cancelled all shops until further notice due to COVID -19

Interesting..because I haven't worked them in years, and got an emergency text from them this AM begging me to do a bank shop nowhere near my home. With the current unnecessary panic that appears to be hitting the public in the Los Angeles area, I'm guessing shoppers are canceling faster than clients. Once Disneyland shuts the doors, the millennials start to panic winking smiley

Side note; a friend on FB posted that their interview at Trader Joe's was cancelled today when the manager emailed them to say the store was in a state of chaos and over 50% of the workers had declined to show up for work today.

I've been peacefully working from home today and reading about the havoc online when I take breaks. I have a one remaining shop scheduled shop this month, which is a sit down lunch tomorrow. I half expect to find the city in shambles when I finally venture out.
A senior living center shop was cancelled by the customer. They're limiting access to their site due to coronavirus concerns.
It's not that bad Steve. I went to the grocery store today and everyone behaved themselves. Most carts did have toilet paper in them and people seemed to be stocking up on food as well but the shelves were full....oh the salsa was out of stock. the one that was on sale.
You touched the pump after washing your hands.

That's a valid concern, introducing the virus to a senior living center is a horrible idea.

Pump gas
Visit RR to wash hands
Pay for store purchase.

Where did you see that?I still see many listed on their Sassie site for California.
I did Jon's grocery yesterday, no panic, everything went smoothly. I am not working due to this, glad i had a good first half of the month. My daughter is in the Bahama's and says it hasn't hit there...when she returns to Chicago (Saturday), she will be working from home, her office is closed, will do her counseling from home. Cancelled my Vegas trip.
My ex would say, this is a good time to buy stock,.
