Red Lobster shops just got cancelled. Not sure if other shops have been cancelled by clients of that MSC...I only had the one Red Lobster scheduled...and my Companion was not sure he wanted to go...so now he does not have to cancel..

It appears Panda and BP are shutting down too. My SW grocery store shop was just postponed. I didn't mind the food shops so much as my husband and I don't even want to eat out right now. We are trying to buy prepackaged food and food to cook at home and taking our lunch with us anyway. We bought fruit cups, packaged cheese or peanut butter crackers, eggs to hard boil or make egg salad. We aren't buying any fresh cooked bread or doughnuts or anything like that.
Okay. Now many of my major clients I regularly work for finally are putting their shops on-hold and cancelling for the next month or two.

Whelp.... Might as well focus on all my back log of crap to do around the house!.

I have a 5 Guys to do right now, but all restaurants were ordered to close. They can continue carry out and delivery. I asked the MSC how to proceed, and I was specific. I don’t want to be out money and not get reimbursed because I did not dine in. I’m 3 emails in and still have not gotten a direct answer to my two specific direct Yes or No questions.

The assignment instructions are pretty clear to report the location as closed if the location's no longer allowed to dine in customers.

I'm tempted to cancel a shop for tomorrow (my only remaining scheduled one). Not because I'm worried about getting sick, but because I'm worried I'll never get paid. This MSC has gone from paying around 60 days, to 90 days, to over 120. I'm unsure if their problems are financial or administrative, but I've already severely reduced how much I'm willing to have outstanding with them. Who knows if they'll still be around by the time they get around to paying March shops?

I am still doing shops, they are rural routes of mainly gas stations and fast food. I'm taking precautions, and I am not a high risk person for the virus. The income is key to staying on budget so it is the biggest motivation. Many of the fast food shops are drive thru, and the gas stations are small so contact is minimal. My granddaughter is in K in an Austin area school and parents received an announcement the school was closing today through April 6. I live in a small town and all schools here are currently open. I completely understand the need to minimize contact. I also have sympathy for middle income folks who can't work, and the resulting devastation from a severe income drop. I sincerely hope all the safety measures are successful, and things get better soon.
I got an email from an MSC to visit a nursing home. They are still being shopped, by the desire of the facility. I couldn't believe it. I hope nobody takes these shops. All nonessential businesses are closimg here also.
I'm on the second day of a nine day route right now. Right now, nothing has cancelled, but nothing I have is food related. I have a feeling it is eventually going to lead to cancellations but as of now, nothing. I was somewhat hesitant, but honestly, I think we're going to be worse in a few weeks and beyond then we are right now, so I have decided to go for it, not add anything else afterwards, and then figure out what I will do.
All of my downtown parking shops were cancelled today while I was en route to complete them. My hotel shops were cancelled this past Friday.
All of my March shops were cancelled by the clients, except two restaurants. I cancelled them today.
I finished all mine this weekend and didn't really want to do them. I'm baffled that I'm still getting job postings. It is spreading because people aren't staying home, you have no idea who might have been exposed and is still not showing symptoms. My city has just said no more than 10 people in a group so no gyms, no movie theaters, no restaurants, no schools. Workers at grocery stores don't need to be asked stupid questions that don't mean anything to the person asking when they're so stressed and frazzled. Companies need to relent and stop trying to get shops done and just keep shoppers and workers safe and healthy during this horrible time.

This genuinely seems unconscionable. If I had parents in that home, I'd be chewing out the owners.
I just happily did my last BJs Brewhouse carryout shop tonight. I had a Carrabba's shop for Thursday but the MSC cancelled it, and I think that was only because it was a dine-in and my state isn't allowing that. Ah well.
Now I'm getting a pitch from ACL to do a nursing home visit (and a competitor shop at that!) with the promise that you can just call and schedule it for "two weeks from now, or into April," as if we'll all be able to hang out in nursing homes in a few weeks. I feel for the scheduler who has a quota and a looming total loss of income just like the rest of us, but this is a waste of everyone's time.
Nursing homes no way the scheduler should be dragged out behind the woodshed and severally beaten for suggesting that. Unless it is his boss that is asking that.

I unfortunately had to cancel 2 shops today. :/
I returned home from a 10 day route last Sunday and realized I accidently missed 2 shops that were part of the main route of shops. I had a wedding to go to last week so had planned on flying back and doing them this week. It's a 2000 mile round trip if I drove. However with the situation worsening in the 8 days since I returned I cancelled this morning. The MSC did not complain but didn't seem very happy about it. Sorry, I live with a 78 year old I am not going through 3 airports and 2 outlet malls and then come home right now.

I was contacted this afternoon and asked to do two shops. I agreed to *try* to do them - one Tuesday and one Wednesday. By early afternoon, the Tuesday shop was canceled.

MF now has three shops on the board. One of them is a dine in restaurant (you can't dine in here anymore). MF normally has around 40 shops posted.
I have a massage MS booked this weekend about 3.5 hours away from me. Hopefully I'll still be able to drive down as that's where my boyfriend lives. The joys of military relationships when you're stationed at different places. Sure I'll find out in the next few days if it gets cancelled or not!

I just checked and the rest of the shops for this month are gone. Methinks that what they did was call around like mad this afternoon and get people to take them at a larger fee. It is MF so it would not have been at a much larger fee.
I cancelled all mine but I'm in a state that just shut down all restaurants, bars, events, senior centers, there is not much left and it's not fair to judge these associates during a time of extreme stress. "She greeted me but did not smile and looked at me as if I had the plague." Please, no, I will come back when it's a fair game for them.

I keep receiving emails from a specific MSC asking for help visiting senior facilities, stating that the client is not cancelling and shoppers can schedule now for April. Sorry, but these senior citizens are the highest risk especially if they have any health issues like diabetes or COPD. Even in April I doubt some stranger will be allowed to take a tour, we are just flattening the curve, not eliminating the virus.
Not likely if inside dining is no longer allowed. There are normally 300 shops 20 miles from me. After I did the burger report, I checked the board. There were 14 shops.

No cancellations yet. I have two more gas station shops to complete, then I'm ready to stay home. These stations are changing hands, so it's pretty simple to complete the evaluations. I'm grateful for the opportunity!
I was supposed to do a bunch of fast-food places at highway rest-stops. Canceled all of them. Between the shutdown on Pennsylvania in it's entirety and NJ going on a curfew there was no way to get them done.
