FIVE GUYS IS BACK!!

Perhaps all the coupon people didn't realize they'd have to fill out a report to get a free meal.

To me $30 and a free meal is reasonable for the time invested.

I also think they deleted the area where people used to be able to enter their toll expenses.

Yes, no more toll reimbursement.
I ordered a grilled cheese yesterday, and they cooked it in two halves and put it together like a sandwich, putting the uncooked (and cold) tomato and jalapeños in the middle. I submitted it as not prepared properly, since grilled cheese should be cooked as a single piece and the tomato and jalapeño should have been at least partially cooked during the grilling. I was a bit concerned that they'd reject my shop and say that it was prepared properly, but it was accepted.

Interesting. Perhaps there is no cooking standard or guideline for a FG grilled cheese -- or at least not to the extent that there are for their burgers and fries? Personally, I can't stand FG fries, but I use their standards, not mine, to review them.
I've noticed that they invert the bun when I order a grilled cheese and tomato.

Yes, they always grill the inside of the bun for grilled cheese. But typically they put it together and grill it as one piece, so the cheese melts together and seals it. In this case, they did the two halves individually and put the raw tomato and jalapenos between them. I also had mushrooms in there, but those were cooked.

I didn't eat the whole thing, and when I reheated it in the toaster oven the following day, it all melted together and was much better.

There's nothing in the form or guidelines that says how to evaluate it. I also had it cooked wrong the time before this visit at a different location, but did not complain about it then since the tomato wasn't cold. But prior to that, it was always cooked correctly.

Well, they specifically make you agree to use their standards in the form. I have no problems with FG fries. They're even better reheated. And of course with Cajun spice.
Wow, just noticed that there is a FG lunch in my area for $40, but it was only available for today. Oddly, it's one that I had done last month but never got a Samantha for it, as I generally do for locations I've only done once. Hopefully it will show up again tomorrow with a longer range of dates. Both of this week's shops at that location as still available. Sadly, some idiots took the shops at the location closest to me, which i was back in rotation for this week.

Also, next week's shops have already had their fee increased.
I ordered a little cheeseburger, little fries, and a regular drink last week, and it cost $19.89. So even though the reimbursement has increased, we are already over here in NYC.
The cheeseburger (double patty), little fries and small drink is just under $22 in SoCal.

I don't care about the price when they covering $17 of it. I order what I want, not the cheapest possible thing.

I do it for $25 or more in fees, so If I spend a few dollars over, who cares?

Eat what I want for $20 plus profit or eat what I don't want for a few dollars more in profit? Simple choice FOR ME.
Does anyone have FG shops listed for next weekend (6/29-7/2) in their area? I know I saw some previously where you could do it for any meal, but they're not showing in my area now. Just curious if everyone grabbed them at the $10 fee or if they were removed.
The 6/29-7/2 dates are still on the board for some of the remote locations. You can always check zip code 92399 if you ever want to know. That location is one of the slower ones to come off the board.

Still seeing them for my locations. It's a one-shop week. The online order shops for this weekend in my area went on MAO (possibly by mistake, since it's so early and the other shop for the same dates did not). I put in for $30 for two of them. Not accepted yet, but not rejected, either.

Update: got both shops assigned!!! Since one is a lunch and the other is dinner, I'll do them both on the same day and we'll have dinner for the night!

There was a $40 FG in Philadelphia for today only. I assumed it was due to a cancellation or some problem with a shop from last week. I am sure that someone will be tempted, but maybe not. Personally, I avoid Philadelphia due to the large number of homicides and shootings.

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008

So, did you make an offer? Did you get the shop?

I noticed that a lunch shop in my area is on MAO, but I don't have any plans to be in that area, and I already have two to do tomorrow.

I did not! And, it was the same amount I used to get for the shop.

I did a MAO for $40 and they countered at $38. I usually get my MAO rejected at that $ amount, and this was the first electronic counter offer I've had.
I did a Five Guys yesterday and noted prices on everything had risen. I was able to get out with a bill of $18.00 but had to front the cost not covered by the fee. Food was pretty good but I would not eat there if it was not a shop. Would go to BK for a Whopper for a lot less!

$1800 for 5G? What did you order? Lol!

Did a shop today and the manager came out from the back and told the front line employees “I got word we will probably be shopped today between 12 and 4. Make sure everything’s on point”.

I smiled and kept scrolling instagram.

This is the same location where they had a district meeting and I heard the manager getting ripped for shop scores while I sat next to them sipping my drink and snacking on fries.
Really BK? That's trash. You looking to save money, at least go to Costco and get the hot dog combo or the slice of pizza.

There is probably MORE beef in that costco hotdog than in a BK burger :-P

I can't remember last time I went to BK. They are the closest fast food place to my house, but I don't go. The company colors and people are DEPRESSING

Do they actually know what day and time period shops are scheduled for?

The $1800 burger probably has gold leaf.

That's useful to know since it means you can bid higher than usual and then take what they offer.
Yea, I had never seen it before. I didn't get an email, I just saw on the website that they declined and countered.

Well, I did it. I lowered my fee by $3 to get work. This is for two locations.

A week ago I got a Samantha offer for $35 where I normally get $30. I went online and it was MAO. I got greedy and asked for $38 and it was rejected. Before I could claim it at $35 it was gone.

Today I get a call from overseas. They are offering the shop at $20 on the board and they offered me $30 if I could do it today or tomorrow. Unfortunately, I told them I couldn't do it until Tuesday. She said it wasn't available.

I got a voicemail about 15 minutes later that Tuesday was available but it was gone when I called back.
Has anyone noticed that reports where you report a problem take longer to get through QC than perfect reports? I did two shops on Friday, one lunch and one dinner. Submitted them in the order I did them, but dinner was accepted over the weekend, while lunch took until today. For the lunch shop, I complained about a couple of cleanliness issues but nothing wrong at dinner.

Either that, or it was just random, and they do not process shops in the order submitted. But I do seem to recall shops with problems reported taking longer than usual to be accepted.

Yes, they do. This is likely because the store has a chance to dispute the report and it takes time to check videos.

There is no way that they'd be able to check it in the extra day or so that it took to have the shop approved.

Meanwhile, I was away last week, so I didn't pay attention to my Samantha emails but just noticed that I had a $34 offer for an anytime shop at a location I have shopped in the past. And the available dates were "7/3, 7/4, 7/20". I definitely would have taken it for the 20th! Of course, it's gone now. Didn't bother using the app since I was away, since there doesn't seem to be a way to view shops outside of where you are located.
