What are you having for dinner? AGAIN!

Because it looks like you eat very well, we assume that you are no slouch as a cook, lol.

Ha! I'll have to find it again. It's a new recipe for me though so no clue if it's even good.

Well I just had a sampling of the beef and OMG it's good. Can't wait to see how it turns out. Still haven't decided what kind of pasta to use. Here's the recipe!

I have extra! I went to Sam's yesterday and picked up a 4lb package.
I not only love a 1 pot meal but I especially love meat that is cooked for many hours.

Do you think that the finished product will freeze well? I cook a large batch of most things and then freeze portions that will be good for, say, two future meals each.

If shoppers mirror the adult population of the U.S. I would imagine about 3.2% are vegetarian and 0.5% are veganssmiling smiley

I have a beer can chicken on the gas grill. Zucchini, corn on the cob and sliced tomatoes for side.

It's my first time using a contraption my brother gifted me. Instead of an actual beer can, it's a huge oval tray with holes in the bottom. It has two cups about the size of beer cans so it can be used for two chickens at a time or, like tonight, one cup can be moved to the middle. All I had on hand was beer, but I'm looking forward to trying it with wine. It will be convenient when the whole fam damnly is here next month.

Kinda. I'm not a vegan, or even a good vegetarian, but I eat plant based about 75% of the time. I eat beef when I get paid to, and occasionally eat some chicken, fish, or shrimp. But that is not a daily thing like most people. I was tired and didn't want to cook so I had nachos with leftover spanish rice, cheese and chopped green chilies. Yes I know, I'm weird but it was actually really good.

I read a lot about nutrition and try certain plant based foods (Whole Foods or Sprouts) not going all the way, do it because it's good for you, and some is better than none. I do love my slow cooker with meat off the bone. Love all good food, hash, not so much!! Tonight will be Tostada made at home, tortilla's and avacado, and a dab of sour creme....

We eat some meat, especially that made in a slow cooker, but I've always loved vegetables -- even as a small child. We grow lots of our own, belong to a nice CSA, and live near many Asian and Hispanic markets with great prices on a wide array of vegetables for extras, fruits, and winter needs. We just harvested the first fig crop and white mulberries.

I recently watched a few Netflix diet-oriented documentaries ("What the Health," "Forks Over Knives"winking smiley that concern me -- what do you think of these shows? Are they biased? Accurate?

In any case, I enjoy reading all of your creative menu ideas -- and am making a coconut milk version of butter chicken in a slow cooker today. Steamed broccolini, snow peas, bean sprouts, jalapenos, and cilantro garnish.

I apologize if this is (too) off topic...
Chicken quesadillas and a really big glass of red wine.

Reruns from last night. Still quite yummy. The carrots I cooked were even better.

The quesadillas were yummy, just not enough. I am forced to have some churros for dessert.

We had Subway, which I picked up on my way back home from my route. I made a cheese and peas salad with lots of crunchy, cold, dill pickles for snacking on later while binging on House of Cards.
Trying to utilize the rest of the leftover roast chicken. BBQ chicken pizza with roasted red peppers on the grill.

I had you recipe for Beef Stroganoff last evening! Outstanding and very easy. Looking forward to leftovers, plus steamed fresh broccoli, tonight. Thanks for sharing.

Glad you liked it! I have some in the freezer, curious how it turns out.

Not sure what's for dinner tonight. Possibly taking a homemade pizza out of the freezer or breakfast.

Oh you guys and your homemade food. I'm so jealous. Anyone know which fast food joints have good salads? I may end up driving 20 miles to Zaxby's tonight.
Last night I ordered Chinese delivery while doing an overnight hotel shop. Tonight will be hot an sour soup and some of the leftover Mu Shu pork (rolled into panckaes, with Hoisin sauce.)

CQ, sorry, I have not clue. Maybe a stop at a big grocery store that has a salad bar and a deli? Remember, that new kitchen will be worth it all!

My daughter has been Vegan in college and experimented with different eating ways as may of her friends do.
she now doesn't eat red meat, adds plant based food and lots of different foods that have health benefits.
When I shop at Sprouts, I always end up talking to young Mothers cooking healthier and buying the new foods
out there. Food has come a long way pertaining to our health, yet, old taste is hard to give up. I feel better not eating heavy food all the time, moderation is key. I now buy only cage free eggs, chicken without preservatives, etc.....you get the picture.
