Chicken salad and artichoke....sugar free pound cake with berries and whipped creme.

Grilled sirloin, steamed broccoli and sliced tomatoes.

Never try to teach a pig to sing. It's a waste of your time and it really annoys the pig.
Lasagna from a local restaurant that makes italian, not authentic, but exactly like your mom used to make and she called it "eye talian". So good.
Chickpea patties with broccoli and cauliflower salad.

Hubby hates cauliflower so we don't have it very often. I figured in a salad he could easily pick out the cauliflower and just eat what he likes.
Last night's dinner redux. Steak salad with tomatoes, homemade ranch and homemade herbalicious croutons. I seriously could just eat the croutons, they are that good.

Defrosted some home made meaty pasta sauce, angel hair pasta, parm garlic bread, red wine. Nite, nite.

I'm getting to be a one trick pony.....slow cooking chicken breasts and black beans for a great salad, adding jalapeno's, cheese, avocados sour creme, over a hand made tortilla....dessert is fresh strawberries and whipped creme.

At least it's a good tricksmiling smiley

Tonight it is turkey patties , rice , and corn. I was going to make a turkey loaf but time get away from me.
Baked beans with cut up veggie dogs stirred in (something my grandma used to make but with hot dogs, not veggie dogs), and cornbread.
White BBQ chicken, sweet potato, steamed cabbage.

Krogers shop, want a nice Filet Mignon, asparagus and tomato olive oil pepper thing.....maybe mashed potato's.

I am going to the store to get a slab of grouper filet after I get done getting my paint at Home Depot. I have some 21-30 large prawns in my freezer. Going to do a white wine and egg wash with panko breadcrumbs for breading for the shrimp and grouper, then frying, and "frips" (potatoes sliced thin into chips and fried). Better have a field greens salad on the side for less guilt.
Irene, a friend of mine slices potatoes and dredges them in grated parm and herbs with olive oil, spreads them on a cookie sheet and bakes until crisp. I tried it and it's yummy. Goes great with filet mignon.

We're having a friend over for dinner tonight. We're having vegan pulled "pork" sandwiches and pasta salad made with an avocado "mayo".
Pork loin in the crock pot. Not sure what's going with.

I saw an episode of Dr. Oz where they were making a healthy risotto that they used some very finely chopped cauliflower in with the rice. Supposed to be nearly undetectable. I wonder if you used 1 part cauliflower to 4 parts risotto rice if he would notice? Especially if there are good herbs and spices along with the risotto sauce...
I'm now watching the news and here in CA (Salinas farmers) are producing "Riced Cauliflower" to reduce carbs, it's the new wonder veggie. low calories and carbs. Big to do over calling it riced, but's the new big thing for health. Going to make a flour out of it.....will wonders never cease!!

I recently did a grocery store reset at Earth Fare. They had: almond flour, coconut flour, hazelnut flour, etc. It's amazing how many gluten free products and other stuff that are available. I thankfully do not have any allergies. My SIL has my poor brother on buckwheat flour products, like pancakes. He has no allergies but she just likes to do things a little differently. He isn't a happy camper because those things are like weighted saucers and just don't taste great, in addition to the horrible texture.

That's probably what they were talking about on OZ. I was a little numbed up in the dentist chair and not feeling too sporty...
yep, and they charge an arm and a leg for the Gluten free....I am trying to reduce processed foods, flour and sugar, but as far as baking, not good. I miss my ice creme, trying a new coconut ice creme (lactose free) tonight, but I'm putting chocolate over it....I'm lactose intolerant, can't have milk products, so am glad for the subsitute's. I never cared for milk anyway, just ice creme.....Ben and Jerry's, where are you?

Jasf, I think he probably would notice. He really, really hates the stuff. But I do love risotto so I should really make it again sometime soon (minus the cauliflower).
Irene, So Good, makes a very tasty cashew nut "ice cream"... I think it's pretty expensive though.
Tonight will be mac and cheese for dinner. It's one of my son's favorites which is good since he didn't care for last nights dinner at all.
I've had dairy free yogurt by So Delicious that's pretty good. I think it was made from coconut milk. I bet they make ice cream, too. I don't like milk, either. Never did even as a kid, though I did put it on my cereal.
