I ended up not getting one. The ones in GW were either small or scratched.

Did you buy more than 1 martini glass this time?

@HonnyBrown wrote:

I broke my martini glass. I went to make a dirty martini to celebrate submitting my final. When I picked up the vermouth, it hit the glass and shattered it. I'm headed to GW tomorrow.

My youngest is still in town. This morning we said goodbye to her 15 year old lab mix at the vet. I've had her while daughter is at college. Best dog we've ever had. Going out to eat tonight. Sunday she leaves so I'm spending as much time as I can. Very bitter/sweet day.

Have you ever had a hydromassage? There is a fitness club around here that offer them. I've never had one. Let us know how it goes.

I got a birthday card from my chiropractor giving me a 15-minute hydromassage. It's the same offer he sends out every year, but I usually don't get around to using it. This year I'm going to treat myself to that massage and a pedicure after everything is moved.

It's a great thread!

You know this thread has been going for 2.5 years now? You and Honny know how to make a thread that lasts, LOL!

I thought that Planet Fitness offered free hydromassages in one of their package deals (obviously not the $10 a month one). I know that my massage therapist has one and she charges $1 per minute. I haven't ever tried it since I like to get regular massages. Let us know what you think of it!
It's windy here, too. One of my cats is terrified of wind. Thankfully it's dying down.

Today we are putting together a so-called greenhouse for starting my spring garden seeds and such. I always think of a greenhouse as being a solid, permanent structure, but this one is a series of poles put together to form the framework, and is then covered with a thick plastic cover that zips open and closed to form a door. Since it's going to be in our walkout basement that gets a lot of sunlight, it should work well, but calling it a greenhouse is a bit of an overstatement. At least there are plenty of shelves, since someone in this household (okay, it's me!) always starts way too many seeds, then has to till more space than anticipated.
I followed a few news stories.

I've had a couple of different types of hydromassages. One was like laying on a waterbed with a roller ball in it that moved from the top to the bottom. The other had water jets to do the massaging.

Today was unseasonably warm and so I walked to the beach, to the boardwalk and to the dog park. The island I live on is only 5 miles long, but I walked 5.2 miles by the time I did all my walking and got back home. My legs and back are killing me, but I got to see dogs, lots of them and that put me in my happy place and recharged for next week.
Honny, if you need a martini glass still, I would be happy to send you one. I must have 2 dozen. Between working at the bar and the thrift shop, it's glass heaven! I have a single steel one that rules my life and if I ever see them again, I will buy ALLLLLLL of them.

I've got one already boxed up for her, but hey, if you send her one too, then she could rotate them and think about us when she is drinking ...or maybe she could have a martini with a friend sometime smiling smiley
Thanks JAS and Jenny! I'm good with one, that will be fine. And yes, I will think about you when I have my dirty martinis!

No drinks or thoughts of other posters here, lol. I am busy with the usual suspects and, because I finished lots of work before 6 AM, I am watching an interesting older movie.

Thanks for the kind words. I've had cats and dogs my whole life, but it never gets easier when you have to say goodbye. Typical Monday, regular job, go home, feed the two backyard chickens, paperwork, a couple of hours Netflix or HULU. We've had a very mild winter, but many dry fronts, so we need rain badly. We got almost two inches with the last front, but still very dry.
I stayed at home today, been catching up on laundry , dishes, and games, texting with schedulers and I'm about to make my favorite wife her favorite sandwich. A BLT.
Well, the one thing I didn't do - read all 6000+ posts in this thread. grinning smiley

Went to a doc appt this morning. Did some work for Sigtrack just now. Tried to snag some of the Presto shops that were just released, but the snatchy-grabby greedy butthead grabbed all the shops AGAIN, so.. whatever. I'm about to pitch Presto over the edge for that reason alone. Drives me batty.

Took the dogs out multiple times, going over to my sister's to eat leftovers.

BTW, for those of you who are interested, Gentle Giants is an excellent and relatively inexpensive food. It's got more minerals and vitamins, and amino acids actually added to it than any other food on the market. I'm a bit of a butthead about what my critters eat. It's really hard, but then I came across this one, and since I'm actually a bit of a vitamin enthusiast, I can also say that the food has the most absorbable forms of the vits/mins/acids in it. Little harder to find over here on the east coast, apparently, than it is on the west, but Chewy has it. Amazon does not.

And I'm very sorry to hear about the departure of your dear fur baby. It's so difficult. sad smiley
Your favorite? I hope she's also your least favorite. lol
Also, all sammiches taste better when someone makes it for you (especially someone that loves you) but the best sammich someone else can make for me is a BLT, mostly because I know they'll not skimp on the bacon like if I was making it for myself and trying to maintain (pretend to be) my health.

I cook a pound of bacon at a time in my electric skillet. Yeah, I tried baking it in the oven but it makes more of a mess and it's easy to control the pieces and keep them from sticking together. Someone else told me to microwave it and I tried, but I don't like the way the microwave smells afterward and again, it seems to make more of a mess. My electric skillet is a very quick and easy clean.

I love a great BLT and I will NOT skimp on the bacon! Instead of mayo I use a smashed avocado and I don't even miss the mayo. The tomatoes up here suck in the winter so I won't use them...it's really a BLA instead of a BLTA...though I sometimes will buy grape or cherry tomatoes and put them in my food processor with roasted garlic and a bit of mayo, which makes a very nice aioli spread.

Tonight we are having filet mignon burgers with bacon, sharp white cheddar, greenleaf lettuce, and avocado. I am going to make some potato crisps in the air fryer to go with it. I just put the bacon on a few minutes ago.

But, there will be 1/3 of the bacon left and I put it in a ziplock with a paper towel so I can have it on hand to heat up and go with eggs or something from breakfast.

I have some leftover homemade macaroni and cheese from a few days ago I made with Gouda, white cheddar, fontina, and aged Parmesan (and cream). I was thinking I might heat that up for breakfast in the oven with some crumbled bacon and then fry some eggs over-easy to serve on top, eh?
I'm guessing that since Chewy has it, it's not people food LOLOLOLOL!

And of course the key word "critters"...

Oh, did I forget to mention that part? LOL

But I'm coming to your house for food from now on (human, that is).
kimmiemae has the spiked mocha lattes, honnybrown has the dirty martinis (or wine), wales can also bring wine, and we can count on Irene for cosmos.
I wish we ALL did live closer (Jenny, naivasna, KathyG, and many others) so we could have a party. Maybe one day we can all try to go to a conference or domething and meet.
Yeah, I'm NW of DC about 45 miles. I never seem to be close to anyone I work with, haha.
You aren't really that far away from a few other shoppers who post in this forum regularly.
Neither of us likes to drink. I do sometimes have a cold Corona with lime when we go out.

@JASFLALMT wrote:

CQ, what do you and your wife like to drink?
As a general rule I don't care what other people do as long as it doesn't affect me.

@JASFLALMT wrote:

Well that's okay if you don't mind being around others who do smiling smiley
