What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

Since mid-December, I have done little except for moving boxes and unpacking boxes. Today I made it to the gym and started scheduling shops again. This week I will quadruple what I brought in the first three weeks of the month. That's not really as impressive as it sounds, as the income for those first three weeks was only in the double digits, but it feels good :-)

Today I did dishes and vacuumed. Then I nagged my poor wife to get her to go shopping for me. Then I topped it off with a few minutes of whining. Okay I am going back to trying to be stoic now lol.
I worked early, filled up my February schedule (I added one day for a whopping total of three work days), and did a little happy dance about the current pants size. This size means progress- and a long way to go... But the progress is good!

Over the weekend Hubby bought an 'executive' office desk at a consignment store, and it got delivered today. It's a beautiful piece of wood furniture. Hubby can be a slob, so now we need to get some type of protector for the top before it ends up with scratches and water rings from the cups he'll inevitably set on it.

I stopped by Trader Joe's today. When I moved here from LA, they were very disappointing. They are still more of a novelty, but they have improved.

I know my husband had a plexiglass cover for his desk that was great. Maybe you could check into something like that!

Today I went and got a massage, then came home and put on my pajamas and lolligagged more than I have been doing lately. I made fried chicken breast sandwiches on brioche buns for dinner, yummmy! I made an avocado mayo spread which was also pretty good. My husband still insists on putting cheese on just about anything. It doesn't seem right with a chicken sandwich, but whatever.

I order BLTs from 5Guys during my shops. It's bad enough that I get grilled onions on the sandwich, but the cashiers always ask if I want cheese.

Yeah, my husband does that. It's also bad enough that I have altered the sandwich to be a BLTA (avocado) sandwich, and sometimes with some raw red onion, but then he has to go and put cheese on it. You are right, it really is just wrong, LOL. And I put so much bacon on it that it doesn't need any other salty component. Ugh.
Today i tried to get a smog check, but car didn't pass...oy vey. They I did a first drive thru for Inn@out, first one I'd seen, bad service, underdone fries, a total mess. I was just told they'd love to use report as they want negative so it can be improved, but my report couldn't be used as it was a walk in. I have been writing a book about aging, so back to it.

if you drove your cold car to the smog station less than 5 miles away, it might not pass. I learned that about 15 years ago. You have to warm it up before you get there. Good luck.@Irene_L.A. wrote:

I like avocados on my BLTs! I first tried it in LA. The avocado mayo spread sounds great. It just goes well together.

I was born and raised in Wisconsin and come from a long line of dairy farmers who made cheese. Even I would not put cheese on a BLT.

I'm doing my 1st mock trial tomorrow. I took the day off as it pays well. Anyone have mock trial experience?

My husband did one about 6 months ago. Got $300 for 8 hours. It was mostly about deciding which demographic they should target for the jury, showing people their case and getting feedback about how it was perceived.

@HonnyBrown I haven’t heard about Bull; is it a tv show? I think its most likely real; I just signed a disclosure agreement.
I got my drain out yesterday so now my side is sore. In my experience the key to working the soreness out is movement so I plan to clean the bathroom. I won't be cooking since we picked up chinese last night and have leftovers, but I might make an apple cake if I feel good enough.

I like the show, too, but I'm at work when it comes on and always forget to watch it later. I loved Michael Weatherly on NCIS.

Went to a yoga class at the gym. Ran a couple of errands and hung a couple of pieces of artwork on the walls. Made dinner for tonight and tomorrow night.
