What are you doing today? (besides shopping)
kimmie, for years I didn't like raw tomatoes, but then I ate Roma tomatoes and a few other types that were perfectly ripened and were less "wet" and had a firmer texture. I completely get what you mean, though. Most restaurants and many grocery stores have soggy, mushy, tomatoes with a pinkish hue. UGH.

I just got back from several days in the Olympic National Park with my wife. Ocean beaches and a temperate rain forest. The Hoh Rain Forest is INCREDIBLE: We especially enjoyed a little nature trail called the "Hall of Mosses." We decided that, at some point, we are going to have to go on a multi-day backpacking trip up the Hoh River.

kimmeemae, I found a couple references online to the sugar bomb tomatoes and a "bomb" line of seeds. Sounds really interesting. I'd order a catalog that has them, but my teenaged daughter is nutty on growing a wide variety of tomatoes, and we're running out of space! Last year she grew nearly three dozen varieties. Maybe next year we can retire one of those and add in sugar bomb. They sound good!

I'm still looking for a desk for my office (with very specific size requirements), so today I took the scenic route home from my shops today, hitting up a couple of thrift shops that aren't in my usual rotation. Still no luck. Now I'm trying to decide whether to accept an apartment shop with a bonus higher than I've ever seen before. Did someone flake or is the agent hard to get hold of? Inquiring minds want to know.

My long-wanted 3-figure shop became a two-figure deal, due to prevailing conditions. Alas. But I have other work and will make the money easily with those assignments. This year, I have had several truly quick, easy, and enjoyable assignments. What is up with that?! *knocks on wood*
@KathyG: I do not know where you and that shop are situated, but some parts of the country are experiencing tremendous weather complications. Good luck with whatever it turns out to be!

One year I was reselling stuff and I had about 25 desks (all different kinds and sizes) I got free from Craigs List and Freecycle. I'd check there first.
Also I would bet money that agent is very hard to get ahold of. Hopefully I'm wrong. Good luck!

Work, more work, still more work, and play on forum briefly. I have to get a manicure later. Recently, I got matching polish and updated color at home. This stretched the time between salon visits by one week for the hands and three weeks for the feet. It did not not work for an extra week for fingernails. I dunno why. I only know that the pros make my nails look wonderful, and I cannot duplicate that.

The weather is drizzle with a north wind from a front. It's time for another stew in the crock pot. Mystery shopping and the tax season this time of year makes my house feel like a hotel. Routine rarely changes, work and more work, cooking every 3 days, and sleeping.
Today I napped and napped. I have to shop tomorrow so I guess it's a good thing. I have groceries but forgot to defrost something so it's either salad for dinner or go pick up chinese. I'm leaning towards the latter because it feeds us for two nights.

I'm in NJ, so I'm very particular about my maters. I love the sugar bombs and I love that it's generally non gmo and organic. I would love to have the space to have 3 dozen types of tomatoes. I have a garden tower and a few hanging tomato plant holders that I fill with heirloom seeds every year, but the thought of having 3 dozen types of tomatoes is just amazing.

I've been looking on both of those AND Facebook Marketplace.
I only had to make three calls to talk to the agent, and did the shop 90 minutes after I talked to her. I'm guessing it was a flake reposting.

Extremely late start time for a distant shop due to lots of last-minute extra local work. Fortunately, one of the exquisite lessons teaches to let the day unfold... so I do that and I breathe deeply and slowly... and I declare that everything that is not a scheduled shop can and will be rearranged.... and there is the possibility of a really good lunch before this shop... and I try not to salivate when I think of these possibilities... and the day is getting better... and better.... and better...

Today was more starting seeds in Jiffy pots. I also am experimenting with an indoor salad garden, started lettuce, radish and garden onion seeds in big disposable aluminum pans, about 11" x 22" and 4" deep. If this works, I will plant a few more of those pans so we will have year-round home grown salads. I'm thinking I'll try some of those little round Parisian carrots in the next pan. I'll use the pans until they are no longer usable. Since they are pretty thick for disposable, I should be able to get several rounds of planting out of them.
High temp was in the 50s today. Hubby and I drove halfway across town and walked, then went to mass at a nearby church. Walked to a restaurant for dinner afterwards. The place was filled with people that had been to the Mardi Gras parade, which provided some great people watching.

Made homemade buttermilk biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs for breakfast (brunch, really). Will finish up laundry I left in the dryer last night, helping hubby later this afternoon with some data entry stuff on the computer because he types really slow.
assembling lasagna and playing Mahjong on the pc while I wait on noodles to cook. After I finish that I'll go up and do some laundry.
