What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

My girlfriend ordered masks online from Johnny Was. I mystery shopped Johnny Was about 8 months ago and took her and she loved the clothes although we didn't buy anything. She ordered a 5-pack of masks from them for $25 and they are really nice. Great colors and patterns. [www.johnnywas.com]

Perhaps the concern was more for you not washing the mask before wearing it (or spraying disinfectant on it), not the actual craftsmanship of the mask. If the lady has been exposed unknowingly to the virus, it could have been passed to you from touching the mask.

You're right. Of course I took all necessary precautions on the back end. Just as I would if I had purchased from any other vendor.

I'm having Chipotle for lunch. It will be my first time to have Chipotle since I used to shop them. It feels real strange not to have a mystery shop to pay for my lunch. I placed the order and paid online and a co-worker is picking up for us. We're back in the office. We've all tried to telecommute as much as possible but I'm deemed essential so have to be on-site at least 2 days a week. We're switching off working in the office. My days are Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Just wash it and iron it. You’ll be fine.

Cucumbers, watermelon cosmo flowers and tomatos have sprouted on the windowsill garden. The squirrel's dug up the pot of mint on the balcony. I'm not sure if I will replant them.

If you still have seeds, try your mint again. You may need to grow it inside or find some kind of cage to put over it on the balcony. Mint is just so wonderful and fresh to have on hot summer days--which will be coming your way soon.

Woke up this morning feeling like I was in London ! Complete with "airplane ear" and lower back pain from overnight flight. Left ear blocked; left lower back and hip telling me that I should have gotten up and walked more in the night. But, then I noticed that the view from my windows was of Maryland. No bedside tea making tray in my room (sigh). But, the symptoms of an overnight flight of 7+ hours remain. Phooey.

I will give the mint another try. This time, I'll use smaller pots.

My laptop is at 14 percent and the charger won't arrive until Saturday. I had to boot up the old laptop I use for Alexa. The keys are very sticky.

@HonnyBrown The squirrels have dug up or buried their finds in almost every single plant I had on my quasi balcony. My boyfriend seems like the squirrel whisperer and keeps giving them nuts so now they come up to the window, the sliding glass door and wait for nuts. I don't give them anything while he's not here so they stop attaching themselves to my screens. Last weekend, my boyfriend left the sliding door open after he came back in from smoking and the sneaky bastard walked right into our living room. LOL I want to hate them, but they're so darn cute.

I have an iPhone 3 that I use as an iPod in my car. The music wouldn't play because I needed to log in and I couldn't. I had to call support. They were not too thrilled to help with a 3.

Isn't it amazing how companies' "Support" departments provide so little support? Once the sale is made, too many companies simply ignore their customers. They are more interested in "up sell" opportunities to the newest model.

Just completed my and my husband's applications for absentee ballots, for our State's primary in June and the general election in November. I'll mail them tomorrow. I have never missed voting in person on an election day. That would be my preference; from standing in line to putting on a sticker as I leave. However, if circumstances make voting in person questionable or dangerous, our votes will be counted.

Our primary was early enough that with masks it was reasonable to vote in person and don our stickers as we left. November is still months away so I will hold off on getting ballots.

I get it but I don't. Instead of helping me with the log in, they were pushing a new phone. I had to explain over and over that I didn't need to log in to iTunes to play stored music in my car.

My Mom loves her iPhone 5 and she will not upgrade. I hate the day that she needs support for that one.

A couple of weeks ago Hubby and I both got unsolicited absentee applications for the local (pushed from April to June), August primary, and November general elections. After checking around, I went ahead and filled them out. The regulations say that for any given election I can change my mind and take the unused ballot to the polling place and turn it over to them.

I filled completed my ballot for the June election--city and school board races, and bond issues for a new school and sewer district. In the packet they sent me a sticker to wear that says "I voted at home".

Hoping to get absentee ballots that all 3 of use applied for some time ago. They were supposed to be out by now, as our primary is June 2.

I hope that we get stickers! I will post mine on the door to discourage visit attempt by campaign folks.

We have used mail-in ballots for years without any problem. They always include an "I Voted by Mail" sticker. I used to be a firm proponent of going to the polling place, but middle age has convinced me that the convenience of mail-in voting is my preference.

I am always a bit concerned because our Supervisor of Elections indicates they count absentee ballots only, "If the election is close." There is no definition of 'close' offered or committed to. If only those concerned about COVID do absentee ballots, they will be seriously under-represented on election day so there could be a 'not close' election return that dismissed the input of the cautious.

That Supervisor of Elections should be removed from office! Are the Supervisors accountable directly to the governor, or is there another mid-level authority?

While I agree they should not be in office, this apparently is accepted by local culture as a 'money saving efficiency' and has been for decades. The current Supervisor has been re-elected a couple of times and his predecessor practiced the same policy for more than 20 years.

A: Working day 6 of 12 in a row. Then home and a tall glass of vodka cran (working on a bottle of blood orange SKYY vodka now). I'm trying to kill off my huge stash of liquor. I have enough for 2 pandemics.

I like the idea of absentee ballots. It is a way for snowbirds and travelers to cast their ballots without returning to the designated polling place for one day. OTOH, there are potential issues with re-creation of ballots because some people are extremely clever and with technology today, they might be able to alter or fabricate ballots and votes. Where I live, absentee ballots are always welcome and counted-- provided they meet the well publicized conditions such as date and time of arrival. Just as polling places close at a specific moment and no voters are allowed in after that time, no absentee ballots can be dropped off at polls after the announced closing. Any absentee ballots that are too late at the election office cannot be counted.This is a good and fair system. Voters have time to organize themselves around the published requirements. If they are old enough to vote, they are old enough to figure out how to get their ballots in on time!

I got a part time job at a grocery store as a personal shopper. I used my employee discount to get k-cups yesterday. A box of 80 k-cups is $24. With my discount, I got them for $16.

Well, that's a disgraceful "policy," and I'm willing to bet that they don't share that policy with state election officials. That makes them no better than those "third-world" countries that our country is so quick to condemn.
