I have an in-ground garden with chili pepps, sweet bell pepps, jalapenos, cherokee purple tomatoes, roma tomatoes, black prince heirloom tomatoes , red beefsteak, cleome, allysum, red geraniums, yellow petunias, salmon petunias, white petunias, red petuniasa nd zinnias!!

>>> Please try Laura Sebastan's trilogy of "Ash Princess", "Lady Smoke" and "Ember Queen." I read all 3 and am rereading cuz I am waiting for my new Kindle paperwhite!!!
Did my regular Friday grocery shopping jaunt, then went out to supper with hubby as is our usual Friday night "date" night out...then went for our mile walk afterwards. Just chillin' now.
Bought a bike rack so I can expand my riding to other parts of the metropolitan area.

An item I order by prescription from Amazon didn't arrive last week. I scheduled it for redelivery and while on their website, I ordered some Thai ingredients I am running out of. One of the items was chili paste. Yesterday, I checked the weekly specials at Aldi's, and they have 3 different chili pastes for this week.

I think a bag of spinach melted in the bottom of my fridge. I have some wine and cheeses buried in the far corners. Either I need to clean out the fridge or buy a bigger one.

I love books that I have to reread because they were so intriguing. Now that I know how the story ends, I keep that perspective in the reread.

Sold 2 items on eBay, so got those packaged and labeled. One is small enough to fit inside the mailbox, and the other is hanging in a bag onto a nail I have hammered into the mailbox post for those items that are too large to fit into our mailbox.

I can relate to this. Our fridge is on the small size, being just 14 cu ft. So I have to find ways to stack and pile. I told my husband just the other day, I am the Queen of the Stack!!!
defrosted freezer, made roast pork shoulder, played Big Farm and rento monopoly, rode bike, took photos of my seedlings with my new moto g7 power smartphone!... basil, coleus, cilantro, oregano, geranium ...also potted spearmint (grew from seed), sage (grew from seed )and lavendar (from seed)!!
I learned that lesson last summer. The peas I grew, I didn't shell them right away after I picked them. They quickly rotted. I didn't plant any this year.

After several heavy rainstorms, my mint has sprouted. The watermelon vines are taking over my balcony. The tomato plants are taller, but no flowers.

Cooking ahead: poaching chicken; smoking salmon fillets; making yellow rice. Will then divide and freeze in 1-2 serving packages. Deep conditioning my hair. Planning an autumn driving tour of Shenandoah National Park. Filing weekly UI claim. (Wow! A week of meaningful MS earning! What a novelty.)

Work and relax into time off from early job until Wednesday. This is almost how it was in the early days of this early gig, when we started with one weeny bit and worked six days per week. Aaaaahhhhhhhhhhh........ Since then, we added, dropped, changed, and thought. Why the unprintable do we have this risk in the winter? So, we got the safer routes for winter and lost the exercise value of the job all year long. But enough of that. This is free time!

I can't believe how quickly my day flew by. I fiddled with my garden, did more set up on my new LG, cleaned my kitchen, cooked dinner and lunch for tomorrow, and talked to my parents. Later, I'm doing an overnight deep condition on my hair.

Geez... I don't check in here frequently enough to keep up with this thread!!!!!!!

Since mid-May: I've totally revamped my front yard. (Yes: Covid-19 landscaping..) I've:
* Extended a cedar fence 20' (okay, that was easy)
* Built six large raised beds (3' x 3' x 4')
* Constructed two stone staircases
* Terraced my sloped yard with five retaining walls
*Helped my wife plant the gardens created by the first terraces - we now have 1000's of zinnias and lots of sunflowers!
* Developed really terrible ibuprofen and acetaminophine habits.
* Visited Home Depot 35-40 times.

* Next: I have about 3 1/2 yards of gravel to spread on the parking strip in front of the front retaining wall
* I need to order about 7 yards of top soil for the last three terraces
* In October, we are going to have some serious planting to do.

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
Annual head-to-toe dermatology check-up; pick up Rx; staples at Aldi. Kitchen clean-up.

Work. Apparently, this two-day gig ends starting... next week? *shrugs* I love this weeny job on Monday & Tuesday!

I love my new, smaller capris that I can fit into for the first time today. They are only one half size smaller, but every improvement counts. Huzzah! On to the next [half size smaller]!

@MFJohnstston: Wowza! You could have a new career as a landscaper!
@walesmaven: good choice, to be skin-aware!

Waiting for my desktop to complete the download and installation of what must be a huge Windows update. After it is done, will complete the grocery list (kept on an Excel file) and go to the store. In the meantime, miscellaneous phone calls and house chores. Trying to decide if I want to have Five Guys for dinner...and if $15fee is enough or if I should make an offer for more.

I'm working 1st shift this week and it is kicking me in the arse. I had two shops after work. I have to be in bed by 930pm to wake up at 5:15am. I have to remember to take my trash out.

Yeah, I am loving this!

Taking pictures of the insides of toilet tanks to email to my plumber so that he can collect the right parts to replace all mechanisms in one trip. (Water bill has ballooned due to slow leaks.) Since the toilets were all acquired at different time in the past 30+ years it is not safe to assume that all of the working parts are the same. Conditioning my dry hair. Trip to garden store for black mulch to keep the weeds down now that the front garden has been "liberated." Bill paying and budgeting. Packaging and freezing a lot of food prepared as "planned overs" in the past 2 days.

Bike ride. Long phone call with a friend. A trip to the dentist for a routine cleaning.

I don't think I studied this hard when I was little and I was an A plus student! Bar graphs, pictographs and line plots lesson. Good news I survived.
After an exhausting day at work, I went to Kaiser to get some eyeglasses and a prescription filled. After I chose my glasses, I realized I left my health care card at home. That turned out to be a good thing because the Kaiser optician told me I would get a better deal using my VSP insurance. I plan on going to Lenscrafters tomorrow.

My day was exhausting because I woke up at 2am and had to get up at 530am.

Work. More work, Smiling because my scheduler understood about the wrist which can still do some but not all job types. They removed me without citation from one assignment that would be too much at this time and welcomed me back for the future. What a relief! smiling smiley

Air here is still smoky from wildfire season. *gag**choke**gaaaack!*
