What are you having for dinner?

Last night I put carrots and sweet potatoes in a baking pan. I halved the carrots and cut the sweet potatoes in 1" chunks. Threw chicken thighs with skin on top and sprinkled them with steak seasoning and extra garlic. Nothing else. Cooked at 400 uncovered for 70 minutes. Covered and cooked 15 more minutes. Everyone loved it! Took me 10 minutes to assemble. Total cost under $10 and made two meals. Definitely a keeper.

We did the full "Thanksgiving" dinner last night with friends who will be out of the country for a while, so tonight is those wonderful 'turkey day leftovers!!!'
We had two reimbursement restaurant shops, so steak and wings; unfortunately the food was mediocre at each of them. Won't do those locations again unless there's a good fee attached.

Now scheduling travel shops for the day after Christmas through mid-January.
I grabbed a container of my homemade soup out of the freezer. When it has thawed further I will be able to tell which kind it is! Whichever, it will have plenty of veggies and I will just add garlic bread and wine and it will be supper.

ETA It turns out to be one of the better versions of lentil soup that I have ever made! Great on a frosty night! I am happy.

I have been watching my weight for a month. Low Carb diet! Tonight I am getting a pizza and antipasto from my favorite pizza shop. I need carbs today! I lost only 3 pounds, it's the darn wine! To burn fat you need to burn alcohol sugars first, than the fats will start working. Just a slower way to diet. I also walk 2 to 4 miles 3 or 4 times a week. I just can't get rid of those 10 lbs I need to loose. I call it old age fat! Sucks! You know, the belly fat.
Stuffed shells in a meaty, homemade pasta sauce, spinach, garlic bread, red wine.

I'm with you, am a size 8 and diet all the time, except when I don't. Cooking at home I eat healthy, and I skip desert, watch sugar intake and carbs as you said. Slower is better, losing 2 pds. a week is considered good.

Change of plans.....today ended up being quite warm, so, no heavy cooking. Bought a T-bone and salad,
that's it folks!!

Not a clue. Departing for Manhattan hotel on the first leg of a 10 day route of shops. I get an allowance to spend where I like for dinner (no restaurant report!) so may just amble down the street to see what aromas or menus are most intriguing.

Route 66 has good food and reasonable prices. Not the fanciest place, but a nice location that's not going to break the bank. [www.route66nyc.com]

ETA: Having soup from a can and KFC lemonade from a shop. The lemonade is *really* watery; if I wasn't getting reimbursed for it, I'd be upset.
