If you try to register as a new shopper on the site mentioned above, it is only for UK shoppers. It directs you to visit another link that is not found i.e. 404 error.

Makes sense to me...thanks for the clarification Madetoshop!

My feelings about their giftcards...I do restaurant shops quite often. Almost none of them offer a flat fee where you can spend less and have leftovers and the fees above reimbursement are generally non existent or under $5 at the msc i shop for. While I would prefer a cash reimbursement with a fee I have found that I can do the gift card shops and have money left and since I would not mind using the leftover gift card at the restaurant I shop(ed) for them it is preferable to me over reimbursement only.
If this dessert restaurant moves to another msc with reimbursement only it will not be as profitable for my style of ordering. At this point I have saved up over $120 in gift cards from these shops and I do not do them often. That is a heck of a lot more than I have earned in fees at other mid range restaurant shops over the same period of time.
So I will miss their gift cards and the ability to go have a drink and an appetizer and have $15 left over.
Grass Roots America has ceased operations as of March 31, 2015. If you have any questions, please call (305) 674-7677 and leave us a detailed message and we will do our best to respond to your inquiry as soon as practicable.
looks like they have closed up.
I only started doing their "dessert" shop last month once(3rd week of March), and on my birthday at that! I spent more than the $30.00 gift card promised, so I'm hoping that they still mail me that measly gift cardsad smiley
looks like grassroots has ceased operation....from top of website "Grass Roots America has ceased operations as of March 31, 2015. If you have any questions, please call (305) 674-7677 and leave us a detailed message and we will do our best to respond to your inquiry as soon as practicable."
Unfortunately, we had to fork over the money first for the food & drinks, then Grassroots was supposed to mail the $30 "dessert" gift card to the shopper that submits a successfully-done shop. This was my first shop for this company last month & definitely will be my last...
I did two shops for Grass Roots, one as recently as Monday. Their website says they've ceased operations effective 3/31/15, Greeaaaat, wonder if they'll be paying us?
Ok, people. How many times do we need to copy and paste the same exact thing from their website? We can read, can't we?
Was anybody able to leave a message and heard back from them? Their mailbox seems to be full.
I got my Visa card with some money (not all) but I'm unable to activate the card because I don't have my shopper pin. The only way to get my pin is to log into my account but website is not working.
I love Disney stores. Hopefully they won't go to some greedy MSC that reimburses up to $5 or asks to return purchased item
They closed the website so nobody can log in now. The NYC office seems to be working fine, as well as their UK operations.

I did a shop for them on 3/26... sure hope I get my gift card!
I had no idea.

It's likely everyone will get their gift cards. The client issues those. What I am concerned about are the payments on the reloadable card.
I don't know how aggressive their sales team was... But for such a small operation, they sure put all of their eggs in only a handful of accounts, this was bound to happen.

But the gift cards are mailed by grassroots. If they closed shopthen they will not mail them either. Did anybody called the nYC office? Anybody near the Orlando office able to drop by and see what is happening there? May be there is a legal sign posted there or something relevant.
I received my gift card Wednesday for my Feb. 23rd shop. Now it's wait and see to find out if we'll get paid for March shops.
I did four shops with them on february 7th and have not been paid does this mean I just have to eat the $240 that they owe me? I tried to get in contact with these people for weeks and no response
I'm not ready to write off Grassroots as not paying. I've found this site and left two messages today to see what their intent is in regard to reimbursing for completed shops - no response yet. If anyone else is inclined to call, here's the website with their number. [www.grassrootsgroup.com]#

Read the notes carefully. I had an issue and it turns out they tell you in the notes how to access your PIN (it should be your grassroots ID number, I think). You can also contact the Visa card company and they will help you.

I can't wait to find out who gets their companies as I loved the ease of doing their shops.
I agree that paying in gift cards wasn't the best. It's great if it was a place I frequented regularly but to do a shop to make money as a mystery shop, it wasn't a MSC I worked for consistently. I wondered how long they'd last.
My shop was for Monday, April 6. I thought maybe "Easter Monday" was in play hoped that was the reason for the cancelation. I too see no shops for any client they do and have not received an reply from my email. This is not looking good.
Receiving a giftcard as payment is no different than receiving a deposit into my checking account. It is a perfectly logical form of payment.
How is a gift card for another visit to the same restaurant a logical form of payment? I've found my phone company will not accept them like they do that cash deposited into my checking accountwinking smiley

I did my first shop with them on Feb 23 at the dessert shop, and my second shop with Mickey on March 7. Someone mentioned they got paid for their feb shop, but I haven't yet. What was the normal timeframe for this shop to pay?
