Marketforce deactivating shoppers?

@Austin Mom. This was another MSC who told me they were using my report for an upscale shop for staff training, so they wanted me to elaborate more on my experience. Reading your post, I now understand what happened. Thank you. It's good to know that they watch the video even if there is no problem with the report.

Wow did F.F. shop for M.F. and for the first time in two years lost my receipt!!!!! Hope they don't deactivate me??? Do a lot of shops for them easy report and usually get bonus. I live in a rural town.
You never know, you may still have a chance. Email Help Desk and see if there is a way out of this. I am hoping that you have a very good relationship with them or that someone at Help Desk knows your good record. Or maybe you can ask to redo it, if you like the food. winking smiley

If it was the shop with two purchases, you are okay as long as you remember the total. If it was the shop where you park in a stall, it will almost certainly be rejected, based on my personal experience. Other types of shops I do not know. If it was the shop with the stall and you haven't already submitted the report, I would suggest not submitting and then self-rescheduling (assuming you still want to do it.) If you have already submitted, then you will have to go through the normal process of getting the shop again.

Well, I have done a few things wrong and I guess I just REALLY did something wrong, and expected the ax, but it did not come yet.
I got a letter saying, among other things,.."..We are writing to inform you that a Shopper Inquiry Error has been noted on your account due to challenges regarding the accuracy of data you reported........
This kind of error is costly to the integrity of our programs and to your reputation as a mystery shopper. Therefore we will be unable to offer new assignments to Shoppers who have a pattern of submitting reports with data inaccuracies". YIKES!
What I did wrong was I checked the box that the order taker spoke too fast because she had spoken before the mike was on and all I heard at the beginning, was the tail end of a name. This was a SERIOUS error. I should not have checked that, because she did not speak too fast the rest of the time, and I could hear her fine. I should have checked something else somewhere when I did not get her name. I thought they were kicking me. I guess I have one more mistake to make and it's the end for me..

I dunno. At times this job seems real complicated.
I wonder are you still allowed to shop for that particular client after receiving this email from MF?

I can speak from experience and say that I had a shop accepted for this client, even though I had lost the receipt. Of course, YMMV in regards to the Help Desk representative that investigates your situation and responds. Of course, I fulfilled the other requirements of the shop such as the picture of my entree.

Very infrequently shopping the Greater Denver Area, Colorado Springs and in-between in Colorado these days.
Yeah, you're probably right, Tarantado. Come to think of it, my problem was that I forgot to ask for my receipt, not that I lost it. I guess they want to see if the location is willing to give you a receipt, and I never gave them a chance, which is why they invalidated my shop.

They want new eyes and new impressions. Since Market Force guidelines are pretty specific and their reports are easy enough for a first-grader, it is not a tremendous plus for them to use experienced shoppers. . . . There is no seniority or longevity.

ICs, or MSCs, may never entirely know what went wrong, and why the ax fell. I appreciate MF's validations that are built into reports, specific guidelines, and the Help Desk. Where I live, experienced, successful shoppers will be called or emailed with shops that are not on the board.

In my history with MF, I have had four shops invalidated. One, justly so. Lesson learned. Two, were incorrectly invalidated. I responded, stating facts with specificity, with no personal pleas, and my shops were then approved for payment. The fourth is currently under consideration. The outcome could go either way, though I would expect guidelines to be cleaned up and clarified, whichever way the ball bounces.
Two shop rejected in two weeks. I must be getting too old to do these. I need to go back and read instructions but cannot since the shop is not active. Someone help - in the chicken order - how many [chicken pieces] is one supposed to ordermoody smiley I thought I read 4 but apparently I was very wrong. Anyone?

Mod note: Changed name of food to not give away client
I'm pretty sure it used to be the 10 piece, but now it's the 6 piece. Sorry, but I know it's not the 4 piece.

6 pieces only. This is the main MSC, correct?

yes it was. 6 wasn't even on the menu board.

While I understand and do agree that the 6 piece option isn't in the menu board, the guidelines explicitly state to 'Specify that you want a 6-piece when ordering.'

And I actually been in a situation in a shop last year where the employee stated that the 6 piece only came in a Meal. I avoided arguing and changed to a Southern Chicken Sandwich (back when it was an acceptable sandwich for the shop).

With the nugget wars picking up and Burger King offering 10 mechanically separated processed and formed nuggets for $1.49, you should really stick to the chicken sandwich or the fish if you can stand it. {hint of client removed} will undoubtedly be offering the 10 piece for less than the 6 piece again.
I have been deactivated many times because I have never done a shop with them. According to the requirements I received via email when I asked to be reactivated. They said if I don't assign or complete a shop in a month, my account will be deactivated. Okay, I guess I understand. However I am on the Monthly calls with the owner Angela M who provides great tips on MS'ing. She provides a live interactive call which I was able to provide my prospective on a few. I will be sure to ask about this next month.

You meany you never completed a shop for MF but still get phone calls from them? That is impressive!
I think Market Force may be making a mistake by deactivating so many shoppers.

There is not an unlimited supply of good, reliable shoppers.

They may be paying more in bonuses now because they are having to rely more on the fewer shoppers they can count on.
I love Market Force. Maybe they like me because I notice certain details but I get emails before others with $3 more included or they call me and sometimes it's about 3X as much offered...really easy to schedule with. I've come to know two schedulers and even said things like, "No. Maybe for $100...wait..not even then. Just no." After a few years you get to know the max they can offer and it makes things easier. Their web site is easy to navigate and flows really well. They pay on time all the time...really, no complaints. I love their announced audits.
does MF notify one that they have been deactivated? Since I have not seen any available shops for over a month can I assume they are punishing me for my errors??
Do you still have the Web FC Select Shops link and you just see no available shops? If yes, then you do still have access to assign shops to yourself and it could be just that there are no available shops in your area. If you do not have the Web FC link, then your ability to search and assign shops has been removed.

Your comment about "punishing me for my errors" brings up the question of how many errors there have been. The standard thought has been that Market Force deactivates after 3 errors.
I doubt that it is 3 because a friend who still shops on occasion emails me with 'now what do I do?' with MF. I would guess thee were probably 20-25 shops done in 2014 and probably 6 'now what do I do?' questions, of which 2 were unsalvageable. Already in 2015 there have been a few unsalvageables and the bonuses 'too good to refuse' still keep coming.
both times - the item was not on the menu, so I ordered something close. No I do not see select shops anymore. That would be 3 in 10 years. The first was totally my fault. I was too honest in the report.
Do check with their Help Desk if you think you are being unfairly ditched. I noted tonight when I went to enter a report that their system has lost my email address. Odd since I selected shops earlier today that they sent confirmations for. In the report it was blank between the " " so I entered my email address. Once the report was in I checked my profile and indeed my email address was gone. So I put it back in . . .

Uh. "Angela M" AKA "Jane Bond" AKA I'm mostly a "coach" and I haven't really figured out what she has to do with mystery shopping is not affiliated with Market Force. I think maybe she has something to do with Market Viewpoint?

Just because it's not on the menu board doesn't mean they don't have it. They do.

There are many items not on menu. They want us to be mind readers. I heard on news about a secret menu too.
The secret menu is tabu for shoppers. If only. There are round eggs, patty melts, "cheese" fries . . .

When an item on the guidelines is not on the menu, consider snapping a picture of the board. The MSC or client may not be aware.

A lost email address? That's one I haven't heard of. Will be on the lookout.
I've definitely screwed up more than three times and there hasn't been a whiff of deactivation. In fact they keep calling me and offering me bonuses come crunch time.

No idea what their metric is, but so far so good.
