IPSOS--WARNING TO ALL SHOPPERS

One thing that people forget is that, as independent contractors, you must deal with payment issues like any other company. In the business world, you do NOT get paid weekly, or even monthly. It is far more the standard for 60-90 day payment cycles, and you typically get paid when the tier above you gets paid. Heck, in the construction world, with many clients, 60 days is fast by the time you go through the owner's review, the bank's review (if applicable), and then cycle down the list of contractors, sub-contractors, sub-sub-contractors. This is part of the reason you should take into account the fee you are willing to accept when it comes to payment terms. In the business world, if you are late one day, all of your clients don't suddenly revolt and act like the sky is falling.

If some MSCs adhere to ultra fast payment cycles, that's great...but some perspective is in order for situations like this.

I got paid today so all is okay. I will note his in my log and if late payment becomes frequent I will not take as much work with them.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
imho (& i am rarely humble) this is a one off situation & i would be surprised if it were to be happen again but let the naysayers/debbie downers weigh in (you know who you are)

Another One-Post Wonder. At least the bands which were One-Hit Wonders produced memorable songs. The One-Post Wonders are often little more than people with a grudge.

I was paid over $1K this morning by PayPal for my January shops. No fuss, no muss.

I think the issue is not that the MSC is failing. From what I see, they are growing. I think they may be suffering some growing pains. I fully expect them to get past these issues soon.

I got paid today -- a month earlier than expected. I just started working for them this year and so far haven't had any problems.

Now scheduling travel shops for the day after Christmas through mid-January.
It wasn't THAT late. Not enough to worry about. If it had been 2 weeks or longer, that would be concerning.

I applaud IPSOS growing...way to go...but if payments get delayed by THIS long to your workers, yet every one on staff and all the executive team gets paid, what does that say about the company's ethics?

You screwed up 10 shops. You aren't ever going to get paid.
I have never had any trouble with my pay and also had quick results if I had a question. I liked the other company that did these shops but I think this company's questions are easier to complete. My only wish is that they had more work near me.
Got that right. I was assigned two smartphone shops and after completing one could not get a response from the scheduler regarding why the report form was not on MobiAudit. The other shop was deleted. Now I know why.
