Second to None

I just ran across this one in Jobslinger, they have a few jobs in my area, I have never registered with them for some odd reason.

Anyone know anything about them?

They are a good company. Bonus from time to time and pay once a month around the 15th for all jobs the previous month. Most jobs in the $5 - $25 range.
VERY easy reports, easy to work with; not high pay but sometimes bonuses. They pay like clockwork. No self scheduling, but When you request jobs they respond in 24 hours. Nice schedulers, nice company.
They are a decent company with easy shops, and but they lost four clients with decently paying shops located in my area in the course of a four-month period. almost 2 years ago. It's rather sad.I used to have a great scheduler with this company a couple of years back. Then, poof! I am not sure whether she changed jobs, stopped working, got promoted, or ?. But all of a sudden, she was gone. Now, instead of having one person that is the lead for my area, I get emails from several different people. I don't know any of them as well as I knew the other person, though they all assign shops (or not) within 24 hours of a request. They pay like clockwork. Their system for letting you know there is an issue with a shop could be made more shopper-friendly.

Here, they haven't had many shops that I have an interest in almost two years. I am getting tons of notices for those insurance presentations that I won't do, even when highly bonused. I like the game store they have as it makes my son really happy when I do that shop; I have occasionally done the small electronics store, as well.

Another vote of confidence for Second to None. Shops don't pay very much, but are fairly easy and they are a great company to work with.

They pay as promised - on time, every time.
I haven't worked with them for several years because communication AFTER the shop was so horrendous. Have they improved in this? Even then it was erratic, with some schedulers doing a decent job of communicating, but with others is was just to exasperating to bother working with these guys.
I like STN and have had good communication when I needed it - before and after shops. Straight forward shops, sometimes pay is quite good, sometimes not. STN doesn't do well with Firefox for some reason. I have to use IE for them.
They are worth a try. I no longer do many jobs in their price range, but stay on their books in case they get a nice new client, and also because of the occasional bonus offer.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
Good company. If they still have one client you have to weigh and measure a cup of coffee with the equipment they send you.

If Cettie and I were in a footrace and she was running from MFI and I was running from STN I'm not quite sure who would be the more fleet of foot. smiling smiley
I have never had a problem with them at all in the past 5 years. They always pay on time and shops are easy. They have a good variety of shops in my area.

I think my royal army would out-run both of us.

I know that many folks have had good experiences with them and I would not discourage folks from trying them. I had a rotten experience and a long and frustrating experience attempting to get an unjustified shop rejection straightened out. It was eventually fixed, they acted like they were doing me a favor rather than undoing an error of their own. That does not sit well with me.
I've had good experiences with them, but I work exclusively with one scheduler. He is great. Ask for a bonus when the shop is far from you. Usually they come through.

Their phone system is horrible though! Anyone want to shop that..."let's see 16 minutes, 38 seconds on hold....transferred to another line and got routed back to the beginning again! EEK!"

You have to have a name and use their type a name by the keypad.

Talk to your own scheduler.

They have a great bunch of schedulers, just lousy technology.
I have needed to call them, but YIKES! Sixteen minutes on hold? I would not have waited.

The best way to get in touch with Second-to-None is by email. I have emailed several times and received replies quickly. I have done several restaurant shops. They allow two of the same chain per month at a different location.
Second to none is a good company; they pay extremely fast, the reports are simple and the pay is fair.

I've gotten in touch with them several times by e-mail. They're very quick to answer. One thing I really like - when you apply for a shop, they let you know within 24 hours. Don't you hate when you apply for a shop and it sits and sits and sits......
I had a problem with my first shop. However, I have been shopping with them for six months and have had no further problems. The scheduler is really nice, she only replies back by email, but does so quickly.

I agree, that is one thing I do like about them. A few of the Sassie's I shop with take forever to approve an application.
Hay during Christmas I got to play Santa for them. They had me to go around to book stores and if the employee greeted me proper and the person in the coffee shop did the same I spoke to the manager in private and explained who I was and what I did and gave him 25 dollar visa cards for each employee in the place for the great work. It was great to play Santa and the paper work was not hard.

I did my first two jobs for them today. I have to be honest, they were very easy assignment and the paperwork was not difficult. I am going to continue to work with them.
Easy shops and pay on time. If you have to contact them it is best to either email or call your scheduler. Their website contact is slow, but email is quick. All the schedulers I've worked with have answered within 24 hours. If you ask, some schedulers have authorization to pay bonuses if you get the shop in by their deadlines.
i used to do a lot with them. not so much any more. seems companies in my area left them.

I wondered that too. I haven't seen one client in particular on their board for some time now that I shopped last year.
Ok so its been a little over a month since I did shops for this company. I completed 4 more after I last posted within that same week. They have already paid me. So I definitely recommend this company. Easy reports and they pay with in 30 days!
