NSS...Out of business, Owner died/ For recapped short version see pinned thread on page 1 by LisaSTL

Oh yeah, you turn 80 in a couple of weeks. Close enough. I still stand by it wasn't a put down and don't understand why it had to be turned into such a drama.

As you continue to showcase Irene's age, I find myself more and more convinced of an intended put-down.

I actually don't see this discussion as a drama. I think the discussion is similar to the discussion that took place in the "Multiple Personalities" thread when sewtara said "As we say in the south, 'Bless your hearts'" and multiple posters commented on what they thought the meaning of "bless your heart" was.

Maybe this discussion seems like more of a drama because others are commenting on your post?

Aug. 30th and I'll be in Vegas with my beautiful daughter and family celebrating...wishing you the same at my age.

Harping, not merely commenting, on something innocuous as a word like sweetie?

Irene isn't afraid to talk about her age, she has done so in many posts and I don't feel like that's a put-down, either.

You want to keep trying to turn something innocent into something ugly, keep on then, if you have nothing better to do.
Congratulations, Irene, and happy birthday in advance. I am really glad you are getting to go to Vegas and will be celebrating with your family.

o.k., lets move on.....lifes too short....

Just my little two cents here, but where I come from "sweetie" and "bless your heart" are fighting words

CA is a huge state, I was on earlier and saw one job in Big Bear, up in the mountains a hundred miles from me.
i'm sure you don't know locations, for me, I won't go more than 20 miles for three jobs....not happening.

Definitely a put down, can't understand anyone really not getting it, or maybe just not taking responsibility. We learn from our mistakes, but we first have to admit them.....

Where I come from "Bless your heart" is snarky and has an underlying unpleasantness, but sweetie, hon, darlin', dear, etc. are nice words to say. "Pass me the cornbread, sweetie." "Have a good day, sweetie."

I am a representative of National Shopping Service Network LLC (NSSN) based out of Denver CO. Howard Troxel is still owner/president of the company, and NSSN and NSS are not 'sister' companies or related in any way. It is unfortunate the company names are similar, but they are completely separate companies.

THANK YOU for this clarification. We can at least put this topic to bed!!!

Yeah, that's what I thought. Irene got them confused. Oh well. Since she got a check and I didn't, I knew something was up. If checks were cut, we would both get them the same day.
That wasn't my point. You wrote in an earlier post that NSSN never had jobs in CA. That's obviously not true.

That's a good question, Irene, as NSSN posted that they have no connection to NSS. I imagine that you will be contacting the company that issued the check to get to the bottom of this.

@Irene_L.A. wrote:

Why did Howard pay me, I have nothing to do with NSSN who never have jobs in CA.
How would he know what job I do for NSS, unless he handled things for NSS, I think they have connections.
Confusing yes, we'll never know what goes on behind the scenes, but this is very close, that Howard pays me with a check from NSS.
mistake made move on jasflamti...... borders on bullying now

Bullhockey. Posting misinformation in a thread should be addressed and corrected. There are many shoppers here who were hoping that they had a chance to get paid by NSSN for their NSS jobs. Since the two companies are not connected and Irene did not get paid for NSS jobs (per Amber), she should not post that information to get everyone's hopes up. Saying NSSN had no shops in CA was not true, either. It's not bullying to present facts and set the record straight.

I looked (again) on their job board NSSN, and it says loud and clear no jobs in CA..at least within my 30 mile radius, if there are any outside of my radius, I wouldn't see them, so, jAS, lets not implicate I'm lying....but then again, your so good at it.....sad smiley

Live consciously....
I am gong to the bank Monday and will let you know, if I made a mistake, trust me, I'll own up and make Jas very happy. I have not worked for NSSN as they do not have jobs within my radius and do not send me emails.
Getting to the bottom of this. I have proof of who signed the check which was the cost of my jobs for NSS..?

Live consciously....
No, they most likely are not in your radius, but you just wrote in a post that they had shops in Big Bear, CA, though you had wrote before that they had NO SHOPS IN CALIFORNIA. I am not saying that you are blatantly lying, maybe just a little mixed up, but you post stuff that simply isn't true and it should be addressed. While we are on the subject of NSSN, could you please take 5 minutes to go through your records? I PMed Amber last night and asked her how you got a check for NSS shops signed by Howard Troxel and she replied that there was absolutely no way you got a check signed by Howard unless you completed a shop for NSSN. I am sorry that you got confused and maybe you are too embarrassed to address the issue, I don't know, but to keep stringing everyone along is unfair. A few minutes of your time to go through and verify that you got paid for jobs you did with NSSN wouldn't be that hard, would it? You wrote the following in a post above:

"maybe just not taking responsibility. We learn from our mistakes, but we first have to admit them....."
Just to clarify, NSSN does have 11 jobs open in the state of CA right now and have had dozens of others claimed and completed by shoppers within the last month. You are able to search by state or by zip code on our website, so Irene is likely searching by zip code radius, not the entire state. Also, if there is any question as to which job NSSN sent a check to you as payment, please contact customerservice@mysteryshopper.net. We would be happy to look it up and clear up any confusion. If you have a check from NSSN, signed by Howard Troxel, the shop was completed for NSSN and not NSS.

For the 3rd time, NSSN has no jobs within my 30 mile radius, how is that lying....you need to shut up!! You seem to take a broad statement and dwell on it...if they have jobs in CA, say in No. CA (400 miles away), from where I sit, no jobs for me that I see on the board....fact or fiction, you be the judge....calling me a liar are fighting words,
and I think you, JAS are enjoying this drama, as you alway start it.

Live consciously....
I am owed nearly $700 and I would really like to get paid, trust me, so I have a vested interest in this. I don't want to prove you wrong Irene, I want you to be right!!! If Howard Troxel is paying shoppers for NSS jobs I want to get paid!!!! However, Amber says it's impossible, so please do check with your bank or in your files to set the record straight.

I am beyond exasperated with this. I want to get paid, and I am not trying to start a fight or drama. Quit making this into something it's not.

The thing is, Irene wrote in an earlier post that it was NOT a NSSN check, it was a NSS check, but it came from Colorado and was signed by Howard Troxel. That's where the real confusion started. Please clarify that Howard Troxel has no access to NSS checks and no authority to sign NSS checks?
That is correct. Howard Troxel has no connection to NSS and is no part of that company. He does not have any sort of authorization to sign a check for NSS.
That is enough clarification for me. No checks have been issued on behalf of NSS and nobody who worked with NSS has been paid for their assignments.
