Why does people hate Sentry Marketing so much?

I would never reccomend anyone to conduct shops for Sentry. I got sucked in when they had assignments posed on Gigspot. I registered for three assignments but cancelled the third when their schedulers kept calling about me “accepting” the assignment on Gigspot and i had done so hours earlier. What they pay per assignment is not worth the hassle. Now, let’s get down to when they pay, I completed shops over 45 days ago (mid-November of 2017) and have not been paid as of mid-January 2018. When I addressed this on their site I was told I would not be paid unless I signed up for Dwolla. I have no intentions of doing this. I then filed complaints against this company for withholding payment and was verbally assulted via email by the owner of the company. Listen to the reviews for Sentry Marketing, LLC. There is a reason shoppers say to steer clear of them.

Bottom line is shoppers are going to evaluate the balance between:

the fee for a job,
the prep time including test that has to be taken,
the time commuting to the location, the length and type of report,
if there were problems with editors in the past,
the method and timing of payment and if there were problems with getting paid in the past
when deciding whether to do a job or not.

No amount of flooding this forum with job postings that will only appeal to a small geographical area change those facts.

The market will take care of the problem, if shoppers want to work for the company, they will-if they don't want to work for them, they won't.

What in the hell is Dwolla? Can everybody just get PayPal or direct deposit for goodness sake?
SoCal - Dwolla is the software that processes our payments via electronic deposit (also known as ACH or direct deposit).
The latest is that I apply for jobs but the applications disappear with no response from the company.

Good to know. Direct deposit is convenient for everyone.
They are ok but they are TIGHT with a buck when it comes to fees---- if they give you a $3 bonus that is big deal to them...like they are offering you a treasure. ........MOST annoying is that they will call or text you to do a shop "that really needs to get done" but don't offer a bonus. WHY are they even CALLING me if they are not offering a bonus? I can already see the regular fees on the website.........they are not telling me anything I don't already know. DON'T CALL/text or email UNLESS YOU ARE OFFERING A BONUS.
They sent me a FAKE check, it came from FL. then 2 emails from TX under the website name, but email was a gmail, then a text from MS. I replied to both the text and email w/no response. I then called the bank in FL, choosing a random branch where it came from, and was "advised" not to deposit it, after faxing it to them. After further review I could see that it was phony. Don't why they would go to all this trouble, to get my bank account #, but they spent $7 for the priority mail to send it to me. Stay away, scam company.
Sentry is a legitimate company. However, scammers have been known to pose as legitimate companies....

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
I no longer work for Sentry but when I did I enjoyed the shops and even though it could be confusing when and how I would get paid, they always paid me. I will say that there were times that I would submit a shop and get told I had done it wrong and it would be rejected. On several occasions I had not done it wrong - the shop was being confused with another shop- and they accepted it once I pointed out the error on their end. Sometimes I had made a mistake on timing or such and I understood why it was Rejected.

Would I work for them again? Possibly - but most of their shops that I could do were restaurants and I’m trying not to eat out as much. Plus, I was not happy when I tried to sign up to do some shops in August/September but could get no response on assignment. Later I when I got ahold of the scheduler I was told I’d been dropped. I was not given any warning, placed on probation- - nothing- and I could not appeal that decision. I found that part unprofessional as I’d had no warning that they did not like my work but that’s their choice.

Why were you dropped?
Thank you.

I've done several shops for Sentry over the last year or so... I've rarely ever had a report returned to me. I don't reiterate "Yes" answers in narratives, and they don't complain. I will get calls and texts sometime. I always ignore them unless I want to actually do the shop and they've never complained. Sometimes, the pay is a little low for the narratives, but I really don't see anything negative about them.
