Maritz new website launching

So I got the email this morning indicting the new website goes live on the 14th. It mentions some of the new features but did not mention something a scheduler told me a few days ago. You will not be able to enter a shop before the start date on the new website...so if the window for your shop is the 15th-19th you cannot do it before the 15th. Just thought I would share, as I often do shops early if I have the time. I also learned that certain clients have an annual maximum number of shops you can do for them - nothing to do with the new website but I was disappointed to learn I hit that number.

If you do shops early, you run the risk of them being disapproved. The start date is just that, the date the clien wants the shop to begin. I would never start a shop earlier than that without permission.

No, that is not entirely true. If you enter your shop report prior to the month's beginning - say for example, if the first shops have a start date of January 1st and you enter the report in December, it will not be accepted. That is a specific guideline.
However, if you enter the report in the correct month of the shop's date (unless specifically directed by the particular shop) it will be accepted.

If what the OP above is true, I see a bit more of planning needed in preparing routes. This is especially true of those shops where the shopper is asked if they would like to perform the shop again. That can be troublesome for those who are impacted by harsh weather or other unexpected developments.

It may also leave many shops open that might end up being bonused.

I suppose we'll see what happens.
With the shops that I do for MartizCX, I am not too concerned about this restriction, so long as I can review the questions before the first date.... Sometimes, especially if I am doing a route, I'll fill out some basic information a day before I shop a location (such as my personal info) so that I can alleviate some of the time required to write reports after a long day.

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
My favorite was the line about, "Customize your name to something personal that you can remember." IDK, maybe MY NAME?? But what really tickled me is that for 4 years, I've been trying to get them to change my last name to my married name but it never sticks.
Better to save all pics. Even though the form will not upload if a pic is missing, they opemed the shop for me to upload a missing pic. I uploaded the same one and it was acceted.

This is going to be a huge problem for me and something I wish I checked when I went through their beta testing. It wouldn’t surprise me, though, if the scheduler was wrong. They NEVER understand the concept of completing a job earlier than the window you chose with you assigned the job.

Maritz has one type of shop for a specific client that one is permitted to perform prior to the assigned shop window. They don't advertise this fact, but more than one of their schedulers have confirmed it.

That said, I can't believe that Maritz has sufficiently beta tested the new website nor trained their schedulers well regarding it.
The beta testing phase asked for little more than making sure everything clicked through. I added WAY more narrative than they asked for.

From the looks of the video it appears that they changed the map view with the improvement I recommended. Hopefully someone mentioned the early debrief.

I know of 4 clients that can report early as long as the window was available when assigning

I pretty much suggested that too with map view. winking smiley Glad to see it got that update based on the video.
Are you talking about that whole “one pin per city” but then you click on the pin and it shows you all the shops in that city but doesn’t put a single one of them on the actual address thing?
Cuz that was so stupid.

I guess it was different things, then! Though I do agree with you. Mine was requesting the filtering the map by client or at least type of shop. Saw that option when looking at the video.
I thought that was in there when we tested it. I Could be wrong though. Good request. That map is the most valuable part of their new site. They have to get it right.

Thanks for the clarification. I obviously didn’t realize this was a practice of Maritz. I was talking about mystery shopping in general and the policy of most MSC’s.
I have been trying Maritz this morning and their site is down...Just tried them again at 7:36 AM PST, and the site is up! However, the search for "Find new Shops" is blank, and the "Advanced Search" is nowhere to be found...any ideas out there?

I just went on the new web site. Before I could actually see any of the "10" jobs available to me, I had to answer several questions. One was whether or not I would be willing to pay $2.00 for a vest, and I replied no. When I clicked on Next, all the "10" shops were gone!! Guess I know what they were!!
winemakers comment was Liked by MaritzCX Scheduler but no comment?

Hmmm. Just like my phone conversations with them sad smiley smiling smiley sad smiley
If you're not willing to buy the vest, then you're not qualified to do those jobs. I'm not sure what the problem is.

I wish I could disqualify myself from their cell phone shops so they can stop clogging up my board.

ETA: Nevermind! It's right there under Filter Results!

Ok. So far I'm diggin' it. It looks like it's cleaner than the beta. I liked the idea of submitting an incentive request directly through the site rather than email. Let's see how they handle it.
It looks like you're no longer requesting incentive amounts but instead total amounts when you submit a request.

No problem!! Just figuring all 10 shops were gas shops, which I'm not into. There are usually a few cell phone shops around, so I'm not sure why I'm not seeing any of those, but I'll have to try some of the filters.

UPDATE: So now I'm seeing a cell phone shop...and something new, I think. Under what they list as the pay, they have a spot for me to type in what MY agreeable wage to do this would be, which I think is neat...sort of like PAD with TS. Is this new??? Or was is somewhere else on the old website???

I've been visiting this site and have found the following:

1 Does not seem to be available on internet explorer (IE). Works with Chrome.
2 The shop explanations are okay. The words do seem to run together and what's up with the caps? The headings are okay for the first few shops, but the fees (standard and incentive) run together and if you are not remembering the column heading, not available.
3 I don't care for the map feature as a way to find shops (that's my opinion only).
4 I'm wondering how its going to be when entering reports.
5 Finally, Its not intuitive. No explanation of how to navigate to your account, etc. I don't mind searching for links, but when I'm in a hurry, this is going to be one giant PITA!

My opinions though. I know people like me hate drastic changes such as these. The rollout, IMO, should have been incremental, not the splash it is.

When I worked in corporate, the powers that be rolled out a new system that quickly became a noose around everyone's neck who had any authority with it. Heads rolled, sales were lost and in the end, a secondary system was put in place to compensate for all the new systems faults.

I hope this doesn't happen here.
I've opened up in both Chrome and Firefox. None of the links work, except one that says I need to update my account. But, the update is a certification test for a certain brand of gas audits that I've never shopped, nor plan to. Anyone else having this issue???

Shopping up and down the Colorado Rocky Mountain front range.
Here's another problem: A few days ago, I did several shops. Last night, they were still up on the old site as not being reviewed by editors. Now, i do not see them other than on the "completed shops" page along with every other shop I have done in the past month. Previously, on a daily basis, I would check my shop's status as to whether they had been reviewed and approved. I have not found that link.
Also, the "Find new shops" link only gives me search by location, default location and bundles. I want to see available shops, not a map.
French, you can click List View instead of Map View. I don't like this list view. it's too wordy. I'd rather see the old list view that has very little info beyond shop, money, dates.

The filtering took place of the advanced search. In order to see shops not on a map simply click on the LIST view on right above the map.

Welcome! You are going to be VERY valuable around here. Please stick around.

It sounds like the shops that were available to you required you to have a safety vest, if you would like to reconsider buying a safety vest we can reset your password, just give us a call.

Yes, I figured that out.
However, sometimes it opens up and sometimes not. When I ask to filter results I only get the "blue shops" or "Premium" shops.
Right now, when I filtered my results to those blue shops, I get a list view of no shops.
