Market Force - Lo Ball Payment

John, they don't tell you this, and it's not in the guidelines. I don't know why they don't tell shoppers this but they don't. I promise you it has everything to do with earned status and nothing to do with income. I was an editor with them long enough to know this for a fact, as I was able to see which shoppers were at which level, and shoppers who wrote really well and performed shops correctly repeatedly kept inching up in level until they hit a level where they were able to get premium shops. I guess at this point it doesn't matter since you deactivated.

All this is a moot point since they never say anything about any earned status, and I deactivated my account over the last shop I did with them. I correct my shop times after they asked me to. They than told me my shop was rejected because I didn't get the times right the first time....even though I corrected the time like they asked me to. They than asked me to do the shop over. Forget that. I wasn't about to spend another $20 on a shop that I already corrected, as they asked me to. Some editors are just jerks. We've all met them. I honestly think this editor was on a power trip.
MisterBill, I did that shop about 5 or 6 weeks ago when it was a $5 fee and $5 reimbursement. I went in four minutes too early (I'm a slave to my watch) and so despite the amazing report, it was not accepted. I see that it is now only reimbursement. The company is super easy in terms of no narratives, you're right. But man--this is not the only time I had a shop excluded by them.

One of the fast food shops used to be super low fee, then went up by $3, and I see is now back down. No more for me!
Did you tell them you were 4 minutes early? I would never have done that. If I arrive at 4:56 PM and the shop says 5 PM, just tell them 5 PM.
I was rooting for you, @johnb974, as the underdog. You sure had me fooled. People can only go on lying, cheating and stealing until they end up in prison. Then they can get free pizza, no matter the arrival time.
Welcome to the forum. I think you are all up to date now.

4 minutes for that kind of shop is no big deal. Do you set your time by an atomic clock? If you don't, by your standard you're lying about your time. You were never rooting for me. PRISON? LOL Some people on here crack me up. You would think you're working for the CIA, FBI or NSA.
It's people like you that make the MSC's distrust us.

For that book shop/coffee shop do they tell you when to start timing? Do you start from the time you drive up or from the time you enter the store? Unless they tell you WHEN to start timing, it could be either. Some on here make mystery shopping more difficult than it is.

He's playing for a reaction, right? I saw a vimeo video where a guy was crying and praying and asking why him because he was locked in a cell phone store. They then showed what happened just moments before where he was waving a gun around and asking for cash. Kinda the same thing.

ROFLMAO..... not too dramatic are you? You are too funny.
So, you lied on the timing and you don't know why your report was rejected?

Don't tell people to lie.

Where in those guidelines does it say to start your timing? It doesn't. This is not a pizza shop or any food shop where they time service. Unless the guidelines tell you where to start, there's room for interpretation. Do you start from when you drive up, or when you enter the store? Unless they tell you exactly, you don't know. Stop setting your own rules on these shops. You and others on here are making shops harder than they should be.
Too much lala juice. You start when you enter. Put your hand on the door and open it unless otherwise mentioned.
I don't know what his motivations are but he has tried to justify this kind of dishonesty before. Then he accuses everyone of being in a "click". (This drives me nuts as it's clique.) I think he just likes to feel like a victim. But he's a hypocrite of the highest order as he claims to be a Christian.

If I arrive at 4:56 and the shop start time is 5:00, I sit in my car and wait until after 5 (usually 5 or 10 minutes after to play it safe). There are plenty of things you can do in your car while waiting, like checking email, reading the forum, etc.

I have screwed up shops before. I offer to reshop them if allowed. Once I drove much further than I wanted to in order to make it right.

We all make mistakes. Its important in life to own your mistakes and take responsibility for your actions.

That is not what the guidelines say. Now you're making rules for everyone else.
None of your justifications address that you are advocating right here a dishonest time entry. I want to stress to all new shoppers who might be reading this, this is not okay. If you arrive at 4:56 and the shop shouldn't start until 5:00, wait the 4 minutes before starting the shop.

The fast food place I think you're talking about has special late night shops that pay $9 instead of $6, at least in my area. MF's system is broken and the shop time shows up as 12-12 in the job listing so it's not obvious unless you look at the shop. There is a lunch shop in my area listed as $11 that's due today, and it even had the "make us an offer" icon so I could probably get even more for it. They're even reimbursing for a shake now on most shops. Sadly, I don't eat burgers so I'm not interested (I do like their fries). I wish they'd start offering chicken like the other burger place they shop in my area.

Sorry to hear about your problems on the $5 reimbursement shop. The one I did had a $9 payment. Still less than it should have been but I enjoyed the drink and was nearby.

Don't feel too bad, JerseyGirl. We've all been there. Sometimes you have to be here a while to see patterns. This is not the first time john has posted misinformation, is not the first time he has had a report rejected, and is not nearly the first time he has posted about lying on a shop.

Exactly! You don't want them going to their video and discovering that you entered earlier than you were supposed to.
I think you can get a BLT or a grilled cheese there, too. I also wish they had chicken, though. I love chicken sandwiches. I guess they might have to change the kitchen layout a little to accommodate for that, though.

You can purchase anything on the menu, like the veggies on a bun. You don't need to order the burger.
If he would have just told them 5 PM, he would have gotten paid, and this wouldn't be an issue. Some people on here show no grace when it comes to mystery shopping.
Unbelievable. There are plenty of people in the forum who have grace and are honest, hardworking people. I see that you are not one of them. Shame on you for encouraging people to be dishonest. That shows a horrible lack of work ethic.

Good to know, I thought you needed to order a burger! I recently noticed that they were offering the veggie sandwich. I wonder if it's any good? I guess it's the burger with toppings, hold the burger.

Some people on the forum show deplorable ethics. Thankfully, it's a very small percentage of our posters. But reading some of your posts makes me understand why many MSCs are so suspicious of mystery shoppers and concerned that mystery shoppers can't be trusted. You've posted several times about lying on your shops, and you have no problem telling people you lie and advising them to lie also. Anything to get paid.

John posted on the forum that he lives in or near Riverside, CA. I changed the search from my area to his on ACL's site and they have frozen yogurt shops, smoothie shops, storage unit shops, grocery store shops, several of the pizza shops he hates, 6 or 7 other various types of restaurants (some with high reimbursements), flooring shops, wholesale club shops, a comedy club shop, and movie theater shops. And they haven't even released all of August's shops yet.
That's interesting, JAS! I live in SC, and just changed my ACL search to 50 miles within Riverside, CA Zip Code 92505....there are literally HUNDREDS & HUNDREDS of shops!! Yes, there are lots of pizza shops, but there are grocery shops, dine in (non pizza) shops, bar shops, movie shops, ice cream shops, cupcake shops, and others. And I have only done **ONE** ACL shop in the past 18 months, and I see all these!

He was 4 minutes early. wrote up a good report and the editor still denied him the shop. That's not showing any grace. For denying his shop for being 4 minutes early, they will lose shoppers or the next time people will just adjust their time.
