I asked my roomie why he had his clothes hung alternating in the closet (ie, one hanger facing forward, the normal way a person hangs things in the closet, the next one hung over the bar from the back). He told me, it slows down a thief, he can't just grab a handful of hangers and take off.
Definitely East Coast West Coast. In the West, we are more worried about having to evacuate because of fire than having someone steal the clothes. In my area, thieves don't want the clothes, they want the electronics, cash, credit cards, and anything that looks like it could be quickly liquidated. We keep our clothes with all hangers all hung going the same way in case we have to quickly grab the clothes and run due to evacuation.

A Closer Look is not exactly the creme-de-la-creme of mystery shopping, after all.

I used to be an editor for ACL. They have an internal rating system that does not allow all shoppers to see all shops that are available.

I haaaaated editing. For both MSCs, Ardent and ACL. No more pain for me.
But I will persevere with logic and truth.
People, not deactivate just because you think a MSC doesn't have shops in your area. With some it may be that they DO NOT have an internal rating system and you can see what they have in your area and it's not much at the moment...but two years down the road they could land a big client and then you will be missing out on great shops.
John, in your case, ACL did not let you see the higher end shops because you did not do enough shops and earn a high enough score to see them. I promise you this is the truth. If you wanted to see the fine dining and more, you should have done a couple of the pizza and hot dog shops, done them well, and built up your score.

Roflwofl, I just don't like it when people post false information on the forum. A new shopper might see what John posted and think they shouldn't bother with ACL because they don't make enough money.
I know a shopper who had income of about 20,000 a year when she started. She was a reliable shopper who wrote good reports and quickly was promoted to a status where she could see higher end shops.
John, if you are making less than $20,000 a year I don't know how you can afford to live in California.

Why do you think MSC ask about your income level? So they can target shops to the right person at certain incomes. If income didn't matter, they wouldn't ask about your income.

Where do you find your shopper score for ACL?
@JASFLALMT wrote:
Yes, I'm sure it stung a bit when ACL rejected your report. I get you had a hard time understanding how to do the shop correctly with the timings and everything. Some other companies don't have shops where they expect timings to the second and have simple reports. Good luck.
@JASFLALMT wrote:
You don't get to see it. Only ACL reps do.

It takes a LOT for a shop to be rejected. ACL has a lot of narrative, but ACL is a company that really works with the shopper and will do almost anything to save a shop. /quote]
That's pretty much spot on, roflwofl.

That’s exactly why it’s important to make sure that shoppers know his information is incorrect.

"Clearly john does not want to admit that lack of quality causes a low shopping score ".....what did I just say in a previous post. Most of my scores are 10's.Clearly nothing I say will make a difference to you and a few others on here. You don't care about the facts. You've already cast judgement on people on here. There is a click on this board that sticks together, no matter what anyone says.

They will let the shopper edit to correct errors, return to the location to get pictures, or go back and order a missed required item. They will allow the shopper to re-visit and re-do the shop.
