Ipsos not paying

Hi, I started in October doing shops for Ipsos, inspired by their great reviews here! I had no trouble with the first three shops but one from November still says "hold pay" in my account. I cannot get the scheduler nor anyone in the office to answer my emails and they seem to keep their phone number top secret.

Can anyone give me tips on how I can get hold of them to get paid? The job in question was particularly fussy so it's even more frustrating to not be paid. Thanks!

I believe hold pay means that the shop has been excluded or rejected.

I had one rejected several years ago and my scheduler was able to answer my questions for me. I would suggest trying to contact your scheduler to get an answer on what went wrong with the shop. In my case, I was definitely in the wrong with the shop.

Good luck on receiving a satisfactory answer.

I agree. Ipsos is one of the best companies out there! And their schedulers have always responded to my emails. They usually provide a phone number too. Contact them! I'm sure you'll get an explanation.

msimon is correct. Hold pay means problem with survey being invalid. Email the scheduler email address and they will get back. I work for Ipsos and never had a problem. You should as well have had a reason for this "hold pay".

After shopping for 10 months I just had my first rejection- by Ipsos, as it happens. They sent me an email saying the shop was rejected and giving the reason why. The reason was legit- my mistake. The email went on to say that the shop was reposted and I was free to apply if I wanted. I applied, they assigned it to me, and I redid the shop.

That's as fair as you could want. I'm pretty sure if you ask about the shop they'll clear it up for you.
Thanks, all. You're right. But it was still highly unprofessional. I've also had a few shops rejected over the years, usually because I missed an instruction, was a few minutes late on the "hour before close" etc. But the various companies involved ALWAYS wrote to explain that the shop was invalid. Ipsos did not do that. The scheduler never responded to my queries. And in this case, I did NOT make a mistake. Nicole said that I neglected to respond to the editor and I have all the sent emails that showed I did indeed respond.

You were all so helpful, thank you!

IPSOS is great when things go well but good luck getting them to explain a rejected shop or when a job lingers in Pending status which can sit for up to a year. This last year I had 2 jobs done consecutively sit pending for three months. The scheduler said it wasn't her area but would notify her boss. I wrote everyone I could find asking for clarification on the situation. The response was silence. Beginning of this year one of the jobs was processed with pay, the other rejected with no explanation. It's nice Nicole at least responded.

I only had one job rejected by them and got an explanation right away. My mistake was due to the scheduler being mistaken about her interpretation of a guideline I was unsure about. The scheduler who misinterpreted made it up to me by giving me a bonus large enough on the next job to cover my missed pay and expenses. I cannot imagine very many companies doing that...this is one of the best companies in my book and one of the best schedulers too!
They are not great (the outside schedulers) with email. They probably get bombarded with excessive emails.
I just text them or call them if I need something. Maybe 1 out of 4 emails gets a response.
I have had some held for not completed correctly. They were definitely correct in holding them.
Could someone tell me IPSOS's pay dates? I know it's every two weeks, but which weeks?

Shopping the Ohio Valley and all around the tri-state area (Pittsburgh, PA; Parkersburg, WV and Columbus, OH.)
They are one of my favs too, I unfortunately had a few mail shops that were hold pay when I started out but were my fault. I hate seeing them but then they remind me to make sure I am sending to the right zone and make sure that they are at least one pound. Mistakes that I hopefully wont make again but thankfully have more than made up the postage on those two shops in the past years.
Wrong thread - sorry.

Around the 15th and 30th I believe

"We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl -- year after year..."
bjack8987, I was just thinking the same thing. I haven't gotten my payment for Jan. 15th and it's a large amount. My completed jobs haven't even been invoiced.

Shopping Arkansas, Louisiana, & Mississippi.
I only had one on my current statement and it was their new client. But it hasn't showed up at PayPal yet. Hope they fix this by the 31st.....as I have done two dozen more for the new client and a dozen for other clients. A little worried because it is not at all like them.
Payments are processed by IPSOS to shopper PayPal accounts on the 15th and 30th of each month for shops in Okay for pay status (completed and validated) within those time periods. If your PayPal email address is correct and it has been more than 6 weeks since you completed the shop, please email mspayments@ipsos.com. Remember to include the survey name shopped, the type of shop you did, the location number, the date of shop, and the email address in your shopper profile. Your payment will be researched and we will get back to you within 7 business days. To found out how much you have earned, when you login to your IshopforIpsos Home Page, click on ‘My Settings’ and then ‘Pay History’, you will see on the left hand side of the screen, about half way down the page a button called "Pay Statements". Clicking on each Pay Statement number will display all of your payments in each months pay statements. There are excel and PDF views.

Hope this helps!!
