Is anyone else worried about May pay? Its the 19th and no payment announcement or anything.

Not worried, not sure they need to post the notice every month, no one else does.

Apparently payroll issues, not paying till 28th
where did you get that info?

I have always gotten paid way earlier than the 28th. Never heard of any payroll issues.
I asked the help desk today 6/19/19 and here is the response I got:

“Payment for shops completed and approved in one calendar month is made during the following month; however, please note that there is no specific payment date each month.

The shops you completed in May will be processed for payment in the next few days. Once payment has been issued, you can see the details in your Payment History. Also, please regularly check Shopper Messages on the “Home” page for posts on upcoming or recent payments, as well as various other topics.

Have a good day!”
"Please note there is no specific payment date each month". BALONEY. It's right on the payment page that payments will be made "by the 20th of each month"; if you ask me, that's specificity.

I am not seeing that. In the help tab there is the following quote about payments:

“All compensation will be paid in arrears via check or direct deposit around the 15th - 20th of each calendar month”.

The key word is “around”.

I can’t get excited about this as they have always paid me “around” that time. I’ve worked for them for many years. If we don’t get paid by the end of June then maybe there is reason for some concern. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt for now.
It's on the "Payment Overview" page: "No later than the 20th of each calendar month".

Word for word.

Ok I found that page under “my account”. So they have conflicting info on their website. I’m still not worried, yet.
Yes, I'm not worried, either.

But I AM miffed!

They are rapidly moving down my list of "go-to" companies!
Why cease? They still pay us, and we don't have to chase them.

Not worried but pissed. They expect no demand that we be on time with reports. They should have the same respect for shoppers.
I am disappointed in Marketforce.... what happened to
“Please remember that just because you have received your payment one month on the 9th or you think you always have it by the 12th or you believe that the payments have never gone beyond the 10th, the truth is that the payments will go out no later than the 15th-20th of each month. That is the date range you can count on and should budget for. If you happen to get your payment before the 15th-20th, consider it a good thing! If you see your payment posted on your Payment History page, give it a day or two to see the money in your account as sometimes the payment will appear on your Payment History on the day it is sent to everyone’s bank. Sometimes you will receive your money in your account and not see it on the Payment History page. Again, give it a day or two to catch up!”

I budgeted for the 20th now that payment is not here, I can’t do my scheduled shops until I’m paid. 17 scheduled between today and tomorrow...sure hope I can reschedule them all. Really pissed because they could at least let us know it’s going to be late!

I don't like late payments either, but we are all adults and aware of the possibility of payments being a day or two late. Figure out how to float a few hundred in expenses. Credit card charges get you 30-60 days of zero interest depending on what part of the statement cycle the charge happens in.

I hear ya, Go.

I have moved past miffed to irked, and am approaching ticked off.

I did indeed budget for the 20th. I adjusted to that.

I didn't even really mind rescheduling my shops to today and tomorrow. But I'm scheduled to drive about 1200 miles to do them all, and here I sit, waiting for MF payment so I'll have gas/required purchase funds.

And I cannot cancel the shops; they PUNISH the schedulers if a shopper cancels shops!

Before you jump on me (and Go) for poor planning, etc., please think about it. I'm not sure about Go, but I'm just trying to survive. I TRULY live paycheck to paycheck, and when that paycheck doesn't show up, things turn dire very, very quickly.
I have had them call me to beg me to take jobs and I tell them last minute job, up the pay. They tell me they will and we negotiate the amount. When I check it I find that they had NOT increased the pay so I call them and cancel it. ALWAYS double check to make sure they do what they say they will when you ask for higher pay.

i am with you. I just left an abusive situation and got my own place. I was counting on that money to turn my utilities on. Now i get to sit in a dark hot apartment with no tv and no computer and once my cell phone dies no cell phone because marketforce choose not to pay as they promised until whenever they decide its convenient for them to pay.

@boridi. We ARE all adults and that is exactly the reason that I expect for them to keep their word. No later than the 15th to 20th. They expect us to meet their deadlines, and we do, so why should they not be held to their own written words? I hold up to my end of the bargain and complete my assignments on time... why can’t they hold up their end of the bargain? I am not aware that payments could be a few days late because they stated no later than. I expect that to be the truth.
Where’s my shop history? Having to chase them for $5 bookstore shop & burger shops. I explain my issue to new help desk ppl, annoying
MF is a joke ! They are so disorganized and inconsistent with getting payments out to the shoppers. I would advise no one to work with them.

This is new. They use to be early with payments. I don't know what has happened in the last few months but i don't like it.
Response from Market Force this morning:
Please note that there is no set date for payments. Shoppers are paid once a month, mid-month, for all assignments performed in the previous month. Assignments performed in May are paid out on or around June 20th or later. Direct Deposits may be, but are not guaranteed to be posted a few days before that. Thank you and let us know if you need further assistance.

Probably around the 28th per the scheduler

Speaking form a purely legalese standpoint, would appear we have a misrepresentation involved here, within the scope of contract law. Oustide of contract law, we'd have a tort involved it would seem. Fascinating. I have nothing else to say about the matter. That being said, remember, actions speak louder than words and if I was Marketforce I'd simply not play this game, their actions will necessarily prompt reactions.
They did not even have the decency to answer my email when i emailed they and asked about June payment
So I got this email from MF today telling me two shops are invalid due to overlapping times. But the times don’t overlap, do they? Here is their email:
“Overlapping times with
AID: XYZ (shop start at 11:27, end at 11:41) AND
AID ABC (shop start at 11:00, end at 11:17)”
This is so strange to me! I’m still waiting for them to reverse their decision - bc that’s $50 in pay and reimbursements.

THEN, I emailed them earlier asking about my late payment, again.
I wrote:
“My payment for May shops is late, again. I have spent over $450 in reimbursements for the current month and last month. This is getting extremely frustrating to me – because $450 is 25% of my personal fixed expenses – just to tell you how much money this amount is to me.
“I think Market Force will lose it’s productive, long-term shoppers if they have to continue to chase their money. There has been a lot of chatter and outrage about this issue on the Mystery Shoppers Forum. Shoppers are quitting and telling others to stay away. It is obvious to us MF has serious cash flow problems that seem to be getting worse, as the pay dates are more and more extended. In 2017, I received payment by 10th-12th; in 2018, on 12th-15th. Now in 2019, we are at the 20th. How can you expect me to continue to front hundreds of dollars a month in reimbursement money to a company that struggles to pay on time?
When your ‘good shoppers’ leave – your company will eventually fail. We are the Golden Goose. Without us, no one has a job. I think MF needs to make us their top priority, don’t you?”

She thanked me for my feedback and is forwarding it the management. In the meantime, I am continuing to work for several other MSPs as I move away from what seems to be a sinking ship.
CAGB33, it looks like you did two lunch shops. They don't allow this.

I guess my deactivation was a blessing in disguise. I hope you all get paid tomorrow - really unacceptable.
